The 2-stars I'm giving are for the wonderful customer service I received from the cashier at the Nordstrom Ebar. She is absolutely wonderful. The beverage I ordered, however, was awful and entirely too pricey to be so bad. I initially stood in line at La La Land to order an iced matcha, but the line was so long, moving so slow and the establishment was so congested that I had concerns about not being able to do what I actually went to the mall to do. Upon exiting Nordstrom, I walked over to the adjacent Ebar. Again, magnificent customer service, but having ordered iced matchas countless times, I highly doubt what I ordered is what I received. Lesson learned. I will not return to this Ebar, as the barista on duty the other evening needs training or to find another line of work. read more

SO COMFY COZY!! Especially during Christmas time at the Grove. You can go wrong with a warm cozy Lavender Chai on a cold night. The lavender tea, speaking of, may just be my new favorite chai drink. We love the Ebar! The staff is friendly and quick and they always have tons of options for lunch, snacks, and drinks. Review: I've been a loyal customer at this location for 2.5 years, consistently ordering the same drink: Sparkling Pomegranate Lemonade. On this visit, I was told they were out of pomegranate syrup. When I asked about other flavor options, the employee just pointed vaguely to the menu with over 60 items. I asked which section listed the flavors, and instead of a clear answer, I was met with a dismissive demeanor. I decided to try a new flavor, Mango. When I went to grab my drink, it looked completely different from what I've been served for years. The mango syrup was sitting on top of the drink rather than being mixed in, as it usually is. I asked if this was the same drink, and the employee curtly replied, "We have no pomegranate today," instead of addressing my question directly. She then told me, "Look at the menu and tell me what you want, and I'll make it," again dismissive and unhelpful. All she needed to do was answer my questions directly or even offer a suggestion, but she chose not to. When I asked for a refund due to the poor service, the manager appeared and instead of addressing the issue, told me I didn't need to make comments about the staff's dismissive behavior. It was clear that the rude employees are learning from an equally rude manager. At 8:45 a.m., all I expected was decent customer service--it doesn't take much to do the job well. Unfortunately, this team failed spectacularly. Great attempt at putting me in my place, sir. Ta-ta. Here's a photo of what the drink should look like from another Yelp review. The E-bar of Nordstroms is a popular cafe with a great outdoor area just left of it's staple department store. The line flows smooth but is rarely not occupied especially on weekends and holidays. They have amazing service but only one register though do an amazing job with line management and pre-orders. If you can't find any of seating in front you can definitely pop a squat at a nearby chair, bench or table very closeby. Recommend the Super green for smoothies, but pretty much a simple iced coffee/cold brew type though they have a wide variety of roasts including ground bags for sell plus cute merch Grab a beverage or a snack and enjoy this quaint corner of The Los Angeles Grove. read more

The espresso machine wasn't working so they offered alternative options and an iced version of my drink order which I was fine with! The barista made sure I was okay with my drink before leaving and offered to remake it if I didn't like it. Nordstrom Ebar is my must stop whenever I shop at any Nordstrom location! Shopping at stores is very tiring so I always need to be loaded with caffeine. (used to be alcohol beverages) We ordered a lavender chai latte with coconut milk, double shot espresso and black iced coffee. The coffee drinks were very well made and came out fast enough. I love about this location is because there are so many seatings outside. So it was quite convenient and relaxing to sit down and sip on our coffee drinks. I was really excited to find the Banana Mocha ice blended drink here because I used to get it from an independent coffee shop but they changed owners and stopped offering that menu item. The drink was very sweet and creamy. It's sweeter than I'd like but not a syrupy concoction and the mocha flavor was strong down to the last sip of the drink. Very good job blending the drink so the crushed ice is very fine. The banana flavor was also strong. It tasted like real banana to me but I'm not sure if it was fresh banana or powder. I loved the drink and would get it again but ask them to make it only half as sweet. The wait for the drink was quite long. There was no one in line in front of me but 6 customers got their drinks before me. Also, someone else took my drink so I ended up waiting even longer. I would like for them to call out names and make sure the drink gets to the right person. Otherwise, make sure you stand and watch for your drink. So service was not very good at this shop but I'm not docking a star because the staff looks really stressed and seems they are trying their best. So we visited this location last week at the Glendale Americana open air walking mall at Nordstrom's dept. store. My friend ordered an ice coffee but they were out of decaffi so he had to take what they had.(it was OK but he was a little bummed that they were out of the product he wanted. I ordered an Ice pomegranate tea WITHOUT sugar. I received my order and began to drink it and clearly there was sugar in it that made me a little crazy(it's almost if they doubled the sugar content rather then not putting any in!!!!!???) I went back in and there was a gigantor line to talk to the person who took the order in the first place. I finally could not wait any longer so I went and talked to the person who looked like he was making up the orders. He took one look at it and confirmed sugar was NOT held from the order and immediately proceeded to make a new one for me without the sugar(he also went over and talked to the original order taker I guess to let him know on how to transmit the correct information on orders to him moving forward. The final product was fine but just a little frustrated with the process of getting it corrected and right but my hat is off to the preparor guy that took care to correct it at once when he found out about it!!!!! read more

We stopped in at the Nordstrom Ebar to pick up some bottles of water for my pre-teen nieces and discovered a cutesy little coffee and tea shop with a big personality. My mom ordered the iced pomegranate lemonade (sweet) and I ordered an iced ginger peach tea (unsweetened). I adored my ginger peach tea with its hint of warm spicy ginger undertones and smooth peachy taste; needless to say, it didn't last through our entire visit through the Nordstrom store. My nieces preferred my mom's sweeter pomegranate lemonade but that's kids for you. The Ebar is an attractively decorated small skinny coffee shop just to the left of the Nordstrom entrance. There are several tables inside the store, but many more in the courtyard outside the storefront, many of which have white umbrellas to shade them from the sun. We visited early on a Monday morning and there were people sitting outside enjoying the temperate weather outdoors. read more

I came in last night with my husband out of SHEER curiosity. I've always known that most Nordstrom's have a cafe/coffee bar but I have never actually tried them out and I finally gave it yesterday. I'm happy we did. At the Grove, the cafe is located directed outside of Nordstrom near the entrance. Very easy to spot. Staff was friendly. Menu wasn't huge but that's okay. The prices were reasonable and way less than what you would pay at Starbucks or coffee bean for essentially the same thing. I especially loved all the hydro flask water bottles they had for sale. Super cute colors and unexpected in a good way. I would never think to find those bottles in a coffee shop. I opted for one of their spritzers. I don't remember the name of it but it has orange and pineapple. Sort of like an Italian soda. Really good and refreshing and it was nice that they had alternative drinks to coffee. One star is even too much to give the staff at this Ebar. The WORST service I have ever had, EVER, at a Nordstrom Ebar. I've been getting drinks ever since I was a little girl and this was the worst I have ever been treated. I ordered a Mocha Banana and there was no one in line to order in front of me and there were only 3 parties waitings for their drinks. The guy who took my order then proceeded to disappear into the back room and didn't come out until 15 minutes later. During the 15 minutes, all the people in front of me got their drinks, including the four people who came after me. I stood at the pickup, constantly looking and waiting for my drink and asked the barista multiple times if the drinks made were mine. He kept looking over at my friend and I, and it was obvious that he knew we were waiting for something. I finally asked him if my Mocha Banana was being made, he said, "uh...I don't have an order for a Mocha Banana" and gave me attitude, looking at me like it was my fault, my problem. I responded saying that I ordered 15 minutes ago and people after me already got their drink. And no apology was offered nothing, the barista did nothing and slumped away, to slowly make other drinks. Then the cashier finally reappears and I tell him what happened, he looks at me and says, " okay I'll just make it" and has to ask my order AGAIN, when I just told him what it was. And he takes his sweet time to make the drink and almost 10 minutes later, the barista screams, MOCHA BANANA, and gives me a death stare. Everyone at the Ebar stares at me. Who is at fault here? Not the customer. The disappearing cashier and the rude barista, what do they do? Take forever to make a drink for someone who was waiting now 20+ minutes and not even apologize when they hand me my drink. This is unacceptable for Nordstrom Ebars. Management needs to do something about these two hooligans who were working the shift during 5. NEVER getting anything from this Ebar EVER again. read more

The pastries are way here better than anything at Starbucks. Ordered an ice coffee (which is also doesn't have the bitter taste as Starbucks), and their GF Orange Chia Loaf.
