Ordered ahead on the app, when I got here it was very busy. My order was supposed to be ready at 10:47. I got to the drive through at 10:44 waited in the drive thru for at least 10 minutes. I got to the window and I was told my order was not ready and that I needed to drive around again or go inside. There were about three cars ahead of me. I decided to go inside. I then waited inside for another 10 minutes. I ordered 3 sandwiches and two drinks. I got my food and it was cold like it had been sitting out for a while. I ordered a Frappuccino and it was watered down like it had been sitting there for a while as well. I was not pleased with the quality of my food or drinks. I completely understood that it was busy but if my drinks were ready I could have gotten them in the drive through and waited inside for my sandwiches instead of being handed cold food and an old drink. read more

Susie Kim-Post Marina has been our home for over 45 years. There have been a lot of positive changes in Marina but replacing Burger King with Starbucks was not one of them. The Starbucks staff are very rude and unprofessional. On Friday, proceeding Veteran's Day, we read that Starbucks was giving out complimentary tall coffees to veterans. My husband served in the Navy for over 20 years and is a 100% Disabled Veteran. Normally he does not like to ask for anything offered to veterans, because of his pride. Since we received a notice that Starbucks was giving complimentary coffee, we stopped by on the way home. So, my husband went into the Marina Starbucks, presented his retired military ID, and asked for complimentary coffee. The attendant said, "We do not give out free coffee." She then went and got the manager and he came out and just stated that the free coffee would only be served on Saturday, Veterans Day. That would have been fine but the manager had a bitter look on his face. Instead of explaining to my husband that the offer was only good on the following day, he treated my husband like he was a beggar on the street, asking for spare change. My husband is a prideful retired and disabled veteran and the Marina Starbucks manager made him feel like a person asking for a handout. The manager could have at least thanked my husband for his service but instead, decided to act like he was above my husband and treat him with disrespect. How dare this young person, treat a military-disabled veteran like a lowly beggar asking for a handout. Marina has a lot of military history but this manager and the original server are a disgrace to Marina. read more

At this Starbucks service and food quality is not the issue. The employees spent my entire 30 minutes in this store yelling about the store management and employee treatment. While I was ordering, two employees shouted at each other from opposite ends of the serving area. The person taking my order could barely hear what I have to say. Apparently there was an incident at this store involving the store manager having the police called on him. The employees are sharing this incident with all of the customers. Some of the comments About Management are mind-boggling. One employee, tall male with mustache, tried to calm down the other employees. But it didn't work. This Starbucks has the nicest people working in it. As a reward for my kids not driving me crazy, we go thru the drive thru and I get them a tall frappe to share. These guys are always so sweet about splitting it between two cups for them and sometimes add whip cream to the bottom so it looks full. The kids love it. Not all the Starbucks are willing to split it up at all so as a parent of two young kids who fight over everything. It is very much appreciated. And the drinks always taste great, too!! read more

The mobile pick up order here is a complete disaster the people they put to handle the mobile order stand must follow instructions from the management and the management clearly sees people are waiting outside while the drinks are sitting on the table getting cold or watered down, I had to tell the manager to direct the long line off the side walk so people would not get hit. I suggest that you guys called the Starbucks in the fruit of the area who are very well organized I am not sure if it's the manager or district manager but they are on point. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks to go to, and I go to a lot. Their employes are always really friendly, and I've never once had a bad drink there, (which is saying a lot, considering every other Starbucks I regularly go to messes up my drinks regularly.) The only downside would be that it's a small Starbucks. Sometimes I go in to study or do homework and don't have any luck with a table, but that's not the employees fault, it's just a small establishment. read more

So disgusted The coffee station with the creamer and sugar was disgusting there was powder all over the place on top of the counter. I asked one of the servers if I could have the chocolate and vanilla mix to put in my coffee he came over and took care of it. But this is alarming what he did he took the shakers out put the lids face down on top if the mess , he shoved his hand into the trashcan pushing the trash in and then placed the lids on the shakers he did not skip a beat he did not wash his hands I asked him to just sprinkle a little from the spoon he was using to fill the shakers. I think it would've been common sense not to touch or put anything on this counter and really why would he not wash his hands after pushing the trash down in the trash container. read more

I burned my hand. I burned it bad enough that it was started to blister. I went to the counter and asked for a small cup of ice. The guy at the cash register fills a small cup of ice and leaves it with the girl making coffee. I went over to the pick up area and said, "I burned my hand, can I just have the cup of ice please." No joke, she says, "We give out the cups in the same order that the orders come in." I'm not sure if these people lack that much common sense or if she was being a jerk wanting me to be in more pain that I am already in. I'll give these people the benefit of the doubt and just hope that they're stupid. read more

This Starbucks has friendly staff, consistently made drinks and a decent location. This is the only Starbucks in the "original" Marina. Even though Marina has expanded and taken over half of the former Fort Ord Army base, "main" Marina will always be remembered for its 2 main roads: Reservation and Del Monte. This Starbucks sits on Del Monte Ave. I have had no major problems with this location. The space is decent, narrow and long. There is enough seating and usually unoccupied tables and chairs. The sugar and creme bar is tucked away in a corner, which makes for difficult maneuvering in and out of that space. They are truly limited to 2 people at that bar at a time, while others wait behind and in a "sort of" line. If the bar was placed more strategically, perhaps people could sneak in on the side and really maximize the bar space, allowing more than 2 people to get their sugars, creme and stirs in. The one issue is the parking. The lot is shaped like an 'L' and is not the most car-friendly lot. Parking begins immediately once you enter the lot, so if I am waiting for the first spot, I am blocking everyone else from entering the lot, thus, potentially backing up traffic onto the main road (something I would hate to do, but thankfully, have never done). There is no drive thru, so be prepared to go in. But the wait never seems too long, thanks to the staff moving fairly quickly. Would I return? Of course! This Starbucks everyone in Marina, essentially. My parents live off the main road, so it's just a few stop lights and a U turn away! read more

For a Starbucks this place is actually pretty nice. The parking is HORRIBLE because the lot is always full in the mornings and there is not enough room for cars coming in and going out. Go there later in the day, if you can. The redeeming quality that sets this Starbucks above the others is defiantly its employees. Cons: Not convienient to get to (U-turns, small parking lot). Small store (Y'all should really expand into the old Quizno's next door). No drive-thru (no way around that). It can get crowded and super loud at several times of the day when the eldery/asian groups meet up there (which is cute, but no room for me). Not a good place to study. read more

I'm very biased when it comes to my coffee, I've worked for Starbucks in the past for 9.5 years in various locations. From Sandcity to HWY 68 to the east coast in Clinton, MD. This Starbucks by far in marina is a complete mess! I have gone on countless occasions to get my usual americano with mocha syrup and whipped cream. On countless occasions I have been very patient with the workers here, however they never seem to have any sort of customer service experience or attitude. I have completely stopped waiting in line at this Starbucks and only order through the mobile app. If you go I to this Starbucks and stand in line and order, chances are you will wait 10+ minutes to get your drink that is usually served with attitude. Over the past 10 years I have seen good people come but go very quickly. I'm not sure why the level of service at this Starbucks has been tolerated by regional management or even corporate! My order never seems to be made the same, and if I order my coffee and any sort of hot food or pastry I seem to always have to wait for one or the other and never seems to be prepared as one order but two separate orders! It is extremely disappointing and even more embarrassing to be a former barista. I can't say I'll never go to this Starbucks again, because its on my way to work but if any management reads this I hope you all choose to do something to improve this location! read more
