I went into this Starbucks today with my service dog and immediately upon my arrival had a man YELLING at me. The patron told me that I couldn't have a dog in the shop and to go "screw" myself. Even though I was able to stand my ground and tell the other customer that it was a support dog, I felt attacked and very upset. It's hard enough for me to get out of the house as it is without feeling anxious so for this patron to heckle me and call me out in front of the WHOLE store made my anxiety skyrocket and I immediately just wanted to run back home and never leave the house again. I had taken out my service dog papers (which is technically illegal to ask for) to make him stop and immediately after, he sat down and realized he was in the wrong. the entire crew of employees apologized and were SO gracious and helpful. I asked if they wanted to see the papers too and all of them in unison said no. One of the girls names was Araya so she can tell you who else was working that day because I seriously cannot thank them enough. They gave me my coffee and bagel on the house even though the nasty customer was NOT their fault. I didn't have cash with me to tip them so I figured this was the next best thing for now. They were such a friendly, open minded, and comforting team that really warmed my heart. It made me realize that regardless of how nervous I usually am to leave the house alone and get out every once and a while, there will always be people that have your back. A million thank you's to the team there this morning. You guys are all such incredible people, thank you for calming my nerves and reminding that there ARE good people in this world. It may seem ridiculous to some people that the one man yelling at me made me this upset but things get to me no matter how small and I cannot thank the team of employees enough. I'm visiting a friend from out of town here so unfortunately I can't make this my go to Starbucks but I will be letting her and all of her friends know that if they're looking for a cup of coffee and a pleasant experience, this is the place to go. As I wait for my mobile order that was placed almost 20 minutes ago, I watch the barista line up 6 cups, prepare the milk, soy etc. and not one of them is being placed under the espresso machine to start filling the coffee. The baristas were definitely more enthusiastic than your average Starbucks. This particular Starbucks is also very spacious and clean. When asked for ceramic cups, the baristas will make the effort of creating latte art or at least very attractive whip art of some sort. read more

This is my local Starbucks. I go here nearly every day. The people are really nice and friendly. It's clean and spacious, and there is rarely much of a line. I've never had a problem there. There's plenty of space to relax inside if you want, and even more room to relax outside and enjoy sunny the California weather. Sit by yourself and enjoy the Daily News, or your portable device, or bring a friend and have a nice visit. A pretty good deal for two bucks, if you ask me. If you're hungry, you can get lunch at Starbucks, or Shoreline Grill, Chipotle, or Eric's. This is a great spot for a break, or lunch, anchored by the Starbucks. read more

Excellence is inspired from the top and Justin is the best. I frequent this Starbucks a lot and find the environment helps me be more productive. So I get to witness some of the 'behind-the-scenes' training that goes on. I've never seen a better coach and trainer than Justin, a master of developing talent and instilling knowledge and confidence with positive reinforcement and empowerment. And he's on top of what needs to be done to ensure smooth operation and happy customers with whom he has excellent rapport. read more

I usually stop by this Starbucks on my way to work (after placing a mobile order, duh). Unfortunately that means that my stops here are literally only one minute long LOL. Anyways, I always get the same drink, and so far this place seems fine. The parking lot is pretty big, however I'm sure it gets really busy during lunch rush since there's a Safeway and other food places in the same plaza. No issues in the morning though! read more

Pretty mediocre Starbucks. The service has generally always been subpar in my opinion, the baristas aren't necessarily rude but you can definitely tell they don't want to be there. They also don't really listen if you ask for extra of something, and I've wound up with the wrong drink a few times just to have them be super upset about making me a new one. If you're just here for coffee, you're better off going to Philz which is only a short distance away! read more

I love love love the morning crew! Justin is a great manager, friendly, knowledgeable, involved and everything just seems to flow with him there... the ladies are on-point! My drinks are always perfect, prompt and they know my name (that's important to me). Foods are fresh, in stock, stores clean... Of all the local coffee spots, this location is the best place iv experienced. They value your business and it shows. It not just a dime-a-dozen type of spot like most Starbuck. Try um! :) read more

This place is truly a neighborhood establishment. I studied here for 8 weeks recently and saw so many locals who come literally every day, some to write a book, some to chat with their friends, some to get their work done. Because of this, it has a friendly, communal feeling -- as opposed to the average 'corporate' Starbucks. And in spite of how phenomenally busy it can get at peak hours, the staff is always positive, remembering the drinks and names of regulars and trying to talk to the new people. It's also roomier than the average Starbucks with a lot of natural lighting and plenty of plugs. The longest I waited for a seat with a plug in 8 weeks was 2 minutes, even though I often arrived during the morning rush. Lastly, they employ many students at local colleges who are juggling school, family, and this job. So have some respect for these baristas who figure out your weird complicated drink and still remember to ask you how your kids are doing. read more

Like other Starbucks - great coffee, long lines (especially at peek times), and great service. This location has other great things about it too. Parking is so easy; the store is spacious, with a good number of seats and tables to work on; the outdoor seating is good; and the noise level doesn't get as loud as other Starbucks locations. read more

I live in the neighborhood, and I enjoy walking here for a latte or an iced tea. There can be long lines in the morning (it's unpredictable and long lines can both grow and go away quickly), but the staff is friendly and makes an effort to learn your name and favorite drink. The only bad thing is that they only stay open until 8:30pm, so this isn't the place for a late evening coffee. It's also not in the nicest shopping center (the Starbucks up on Charleston is nicer and has more outside tables) but maybe that will change too with the new upscale grocery store that's supposed to open next year. read more

I've grabbed coffee here a few times now and I have to say that the staff here is super friendly and they know their customers well. I was very impressed each time I came here and it stuck with me. Sporadic service here! They will spend 80 days discussing the history of the coffee bean with the customer in front of you, ring up the person behind you and you will be left with your Sunday paper and pastry wondering why the F wont someone ring you up. Really irritating when their "communication systems" break down. read more

By far the best Starbucks I have ever been to. The staff makes it! Everyone is super friendly and happy to see you. Came in to get some work done before heading to the office and ended up staying for a while. About an hour after I finished my drink one of the guys brought me a nice glass of ice water, for no reason other than because he's that nice. Such a nice change from the city Starbucks. I don't drink coffee very often, but when I do, I usually go to this Starbucks. The atmosphere is awesome! They have a lot of regulars and the staff seems to know all of them. As of late I have been going more often, and the staff is starting to remember me. It's a nice feeling that they can remember all those people. Very poor and slow service. I don't care about baristas remembering my drinks or my name, or giving me a thank you and a fake smile like some prima donnas here. All I am asking for is to get my coffee in a timely manner. Nothing fancy: sweetened iced coffee with room. With 7 (seven!) people behind the counter it takes them 10-15 minutes (I timed it), and still half of the time they manage to mess up the order! How is that possible? I can get a mixed drink in an overcrowded club with only 2 bartenders in less time than that! Take example from Peet's: if it is just a simple coffee then turn around, pour a cup and give it to me while I get my money out. Also you have only one person making drinks with 3 taking orders (I am not sure what the rest of them are doing). That is really one failure of a manager there. This shop is right outside my door and I waited through their hiring and training phase in hopes that they will improve but it only seems to get worse. read more

So disappointed. Thought it was great that there was a Starbucks located right next to fresh and easy but the last 3 out of 5 times I've been to this location my drink was not made correctly. Also I have noticed that one of the employees has an attitude problem. The last times I went to this location it was the straw that broke the camels back. I waited in line for a good 20 minutes, felt longer because the guy behind me had terrible B.O. It took a long time because they were under staffed. When I finally made it to the counter the guy making the drinks, which is the same one with the attitude problem, asked me what I wanted so I told him and he didn't say anything except he rolled his eyes. I payed for it and quickly got away from the B.O. guy. I watched the employee make my drink and knew he was half assing it. I worked at a coffee shop before so I knew what he was doing. I watched him steam the milk without making foam and poor the milk in my cup without any foam. When I tasted it I realized it was wrong. I asked for a grande 6 pump vanilla latte and the extra vanilla was not in there. I'm sure that it would take to much time for him to make foam and put extra pumps of vanilla so he chose not to. Note to management: you have lost me as a customer but do your business a favor and fire that kid before you lose more. I'm not the only person who has complained about his attitude so you must know by now. read more

Awesome location. Staff is always friendly and although I'm not a regular myself, they are always striking up conversations with the regular customers who stop in. They seem to always have baked goods in stock and make their drinks very consistent. There is also plenty of parking and if you need to eat lunch or dinner, try Bangkok Bistro in the same plaza. read more

I wanted to try the new Coconut Lime frozt, but it wasn't until I had paid and they were on their way to making the drink that I was informed they were out of lime. The baristas assured me that subbing lemonade would be no problem-- in fact I wouldn't be able to taste the difference, and having never tried this particular drink, how was I supposed to know? Well... the flavor profile was extremely lackluster. It was missing that special zest that lime juice brings. How sad. I would've rather just ordered another drink instead of getting this halfassed concoction. read more

This is by far my favorite Starbucks in the area. Staff are always friendly, and quick! I also love that they have a good selection of eats (they've never run out of our usual faves, no matter what time we've come by) with lots of space to sit and enjoy my latte and pastry. I just moved to Mountain View and was living off Starbucks during the move. The staff at this location are truly special. They interact well with the customers and remember regulars including their orders. They also are appropriate with conversations among themselves. The manager introduced himself to me after seeing me come in so often and has even memorized my order. This location embodies what Starbucks strives to be and now I find myself coming in a lot more often than I used to! read more

The people working here are so rude. There was only one person behind us in line and the lady was already rushing me, asking for my name when I wasn't even done with my order. Then the guy that made our drink was rude when we talked to him. Not only that he just made a mess with our drinks and "cleaned" them but the were so sticky from all the extra syrup he added. We then went to ask for another straw and rudely handed it to us saying there are straws on the side too. This is not our first time going, and each time the workers there are rude. read more

This is by far the slowest Starbucks I have ever encountered. Even when I order through the mobile app 10 minutes prior, I will still have to wait another 5-10 minutes even though it says 4-8 minutes prep time. The workers here have no sense of urgency, even though there's tons of people waiting for their drinks. Avoid coming here if you're in a rush! read more

What can I say? It's a Starbucks. This location has grown on me because it's convenient. Nothing too special or outrageous. What I do like is that there's a Fresh and Easy market next door, as well as a laundromat. So I can get a little laundry and/or shopping done along with my slouching around at Starbucks. The wifi is absolutely terrible, so I always tether a phone or tablet. Coffee is about the same as anywhere else. There's a reasonable number of tables, though occasionally it's all full inside. Outside probably has 5 or 6 small tables. read more

Staff is always super friendly. When I was in school I would come in for 3-4 hours a day with my homework and never felt like I was staying too long. Outside seems a little dirty sometimes, but hey it's the inside that counts when it comes to cleanliness (at least for me). read more

I go to a lot of Starbucks as I have a habit of doing a mid-afternoon coffee break every day. The thing I like about this particular Starbucks is that it is spacious inside, with plenty of tables, 4 comfy sofa chairs, and a separate area for ordering so that people aren't on top of each other.
