I love swinging by this particular Starbucks because it's roomy and has as good wifi connection if you are into that. There's usually always some people there but also space enough to find a table as well. I think that's important since I'm that type of person who likes to sit around others rather than in an empty coffee shop. I'm all about the vibe I guess. This is my local Starbucks, walking distance from my house. I gave it about 6 months and I avoid it every time. It seems like the employees couldn't care less. The store is frequently dirty, floor, trash full, mats rolled up, back door propped open ect. My last visit there were boxes scattered all around the display from a new shipment and wile I was trying to pay for my coffee one employee kept coming over with new merchandise and scanning it on the computer to check the price, which the person who range me up had to void every time. Rude. Its like I wasn't even there and from now on, i'm not going to be. read more

I seem to always forget how slow and organized this Starbucks is. The line is always long and takes forever. Today there were four people there behind the counter; one was sometimes ringing people up one was making coffee and it was unclear what the other two were doing. And when I redeemed my birthday reward the person who rang me up did not even say happy birthday. Susan Smith Nixon the district manager should really visit this Starbucks and figure out what is wrong. read more

Came here on a chilly evening to get tea. I ordered hot tea with mint and peach. The gentleman asked me if I'm sick so I told him I have a very light cold, so he suggested to add honey and heated lemonade. Who would've thought! (I definitely would not have). It was very considerate of him and I appreciate the suggestion as other baristas just take your order and get you out. I didn't get his name, but he was maybe Hispanic with glasses. read more

i used to frequent this starbucks when i lived in mountain view, but not so much anymore since i live further away and am rarely in this part of the city. i was running some errands in monta loma plaza earlier today and was in need of something quick and nutritious so i went in and ordered a spinach feta cheese breakfast wrap. for this item, i expect to pay, then wait 1-2 minutes while they heat it up, put it in a bag, and call my name. for some reason, today, i ended up waiting more than 1-2 minutes for my name to be called. i noticed that the customer in front of me had his drink and food order completed, and i also noticed that the folks behind me, at least 3 of them, also had their orders completed before me. why the heck was my one, simple order sans drink, taking longer than these other customers' orders? no idea....and it wasn't terribly busy at the time i visited. a few minutes later, my order was ready, and it was served piping hot just the way i like it. i munched on it while i was driving to my next destination and it satisfied my need for something nutritious and delicious. will take note the next time i visit this location that i may need to spend more than 1-2 minutes for my order to be completed. read more

The barista (male with glasses and goatee) is loud and obnoxious. Most people can hear just fine. No need to talk so loud.

My husband and I go here occasionally only because they are convenient but their service is so consistently bad and our orders so consistently botched that I avoid it now and go to another place a little farther away but with dependable and friendly staff. The common problems we run into with the orders are they are often not what we payed for. My husband does not drink coffee but iced tea. He brought me what he thought was my usual order and it turned out to be a mocha even though the outside of the cup had my preferred drink written down. I have also ended up with a caffeinated version, and burnt versions of my preferred drink. My husband always wants his tea unsweetened and specifies that every time but they often sweeten it. We have been given the wrong pastries. We have also had our drink orders skipped altogether and waited and waited while people passed us by and then had to start all over again with them in order to get that second drink we ordered. Today I made the mistake of going in because I was passing by. They took my order but did not finish giving me the items I ordered (pastry) before going on to serve the next person and take other people's orders down the line. I waited a while but when it became apparent that they had no intention of finishing my order, I asked the server for my pastry (willing to give up on the water I had ordered to go along with my coffee). The server was very rude, it was obvious he didn't care about my business. And as I walked to the end of the counter to wait for my coffee he yelled out, "Don't you want this?" It was the water which he had never brought out or offered to me. I said "Oh, you have it there?" and as I took it I told him, "Terrible service." He sneered at me, "Terrible customer." So I order items, pay, quietly wait for my items, quietly wait while other's behind me are now ordering and receiving their items, when the items do not surface I ask for my items and deal with rude employees, and that makes me a bad customer? Or telling them they provide terrible service makes me a bad customer? Making the choice to shop here makes me a bad customer. Whatever. Anyway, you get the idea. I have vowed to never go here again, even if it is the most convenient option. On principle. Why give my money to a place that has so much business it doesn't care what it serves you or if it serves you. Today's experience was so unpleasant it even has me contemplating quitting coffee altogether. How's that for your "friendly neighborhood coffee shop"? read more

I love this Starbucks location. I stop here regularly almost every Saturday afternoon. The crew here is always friendly and I always feel like a valued customer here. I personally don't enjoy writing negative reviews but the place had my blood boiling. I went to meet up with my mother for lunch at this location, while on my way I thought I'd try to use the order through the app option for my first time . While sitting with my mother I watched the gentleman ( heavier set with glasses and a beard who I was then told was the manager but not given a name when I asked, since none of the associates here where name tags) making my drink in excitement. He proceeds to get the attention of another associate and read off my order talking about how ridiculous and picky I was with a huge sigh. The other gentleman shook his head and they just laughed. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and seeing. I'm guessing as it was a mobile order they didn't think I would arrive so soon, not that that justifies them making fun of me. Even more so that this is the manager for this location. I'm not giving this location a 1 star rating because aside from his petty inappropriate unprofessional manner, the rest of his staff are excellent ! read more

I frequent this Starbucks on Saturday mornings often while the boyfriend is at work down the street & have always found it to be pleasant & better than most locations. Obviously I won't say too much about the drinks (all locations have pretty much the same standard unless there's a really bad barista at hand), but the workers here are always very fast, friendly, positive, and seems like they are genuinely enjoying the job. As I sit here and type this, I can hear them chatting it up with many customers and talk/joke around with each other. There are many tables with access to plugs; the place seems to fill up a lot but I've always managed to find at least a table to sit at because people come & go quickly. I also love that windows surround the entire location which makes it brighter than the other places that are darker. read more

Nice interior. Standard drinks. Slow service. Rude staff. My first time here I had to wait a very long time for my chai latte even though I was the second person in line out of three people. Service was extremely slow because the barista was too busy talking to someone. Second time the person who took my order made a rude and demeaning comment to me out of nowhere. It was a bad joke. I didn't think it was funny and I don't understand why he was saying this to me. I do not like the staff here at all, and I won't be back. Usually I don't care about subpar service, but this is an exception because some of the staff members really need to work on themselves and be less inconsiderate to customers who are acting completely neutral. It also gets too crowded when I need a seat, so it forces me to leave to find somewhere else so I can have my drink. It's great to have many other starbucks and coffeeshops to choose from. Usually I take negative reviews with a grain of salt. Unfortunately as I browse through, I can very well see how the other negative experiences described here are justified. read more

I would like to give this Starbucks a better review because it's in my neighborhood, but I got peeved today by a barista who failed to put chocolate in my mocha, and the cup had a big, fat M on it too. It wasn't even busy, and if all you have to do is make coffee, you really shouldn't be getting the order wrong. I used to like this Starbucks but I avoid it whenever I can. This Starbucks SUCKS. Not only are they SLOW, it appears to be more important for all the employees to have a chitty chat session when the line is out the door, not to mention on a week day when customers are trying to get coffee on the way to work. Newsflash-- this is not a night club, we don't care that you can throw the whip cream canister in the air and catch it behind your back. You might have a BAC level over .08 but there is no liquor being poured in the coffee at this Starbucks. Because they are so damn slow, i decided to use the mobile app. Big mistake even on a Sunday afternoon. I waited more than 20 minutes and asked why it was taking so long. They seemed so surprised and said they would start making my drink. Apparently this store does not honor mobile orders and it takes longer than waiting in the line that often goes out the door. Does this store only hire really dumb people? Dumb and dumber must work here. Once i asked for a $15 and a $10 gift card. What did I get, a gift card that had $25 loaded on one card. The problems goon and on. Stay away from this Starbucks !!! I would at least think they can handle making a simple mocha coffee. Big mistake on my part thinking Starbucks could make a coffee drink.
