I'm not from this area, but Ryan (barista lead) and Gregg (register dude) made me feel like I belonged from the moment I walked in. Even during a busy rush, they both took the time to acknowledge me, talk to me, and make me feel genuinely welcome. That kind of service is rare. Ryan makes every cup with care and brings an energy that lifts the whole place. Gregg is just as outstanding. Hes friendly, patient, and quick, but never rushed with customers. Together they create the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to come back every morning during my stay. People like them are the reason businesses thrive. Local Starbucks and we generally mobile order. Depending on who is working and how busy it is we sometimes walk in and out with little interaction and our drinks are ready at the bar. On some occasions a drink will have a mistake so they don't have a 100% hit rate but totally understandable. Overall though our experiences are pleasant. Especially on Saturday mornings they seem to have more staff and someone is by the bar to say hello when I grab my drink. It's definitely nice to have a Starbucks in the neighborhood and generally parking is always available. They keep this one fairly clean and usually there are students after school hanging out, people studying or some folks working on their laptops. It's a nice and safe location. read more

The service here is horrible! I went in Friday morning to get a grande grande iced cinnamon dolce latte with oat milk, I was the only customer in the lobby at the time yet for some reason it took almost 10 minutes for me to receive my drink. The young Japanese girl behind the counter, was too infatuated with her boyfriend who regularly goes in and flirts with her and distracts her from paying attention to the customers. I spent 10 minutes listening to her talk to him about how she was going to be the designated driver for the night, but it's funny because she always drinks too much whenever she's a designated driver. Then he told her how exotic she was because she's Japanese and then she told him he would be exotic in Japan because he's white with blue eyes, I heard the entire conversation. While they saw me standing there with frustration, they would rather flirt with each other than provide me with my drink. Then comes a lady from the back who made her own drink for herself, and then turns around and goes to the back to continue her break all while I stood there, waiting for my drink the entire time . I have no clue what the two guys behind the counter were doing, clearly not making my drink either. Maybe they were infatuated with the conversation between the Japanese girl and the white guy as well. Who knows but either way I didn't get my drink quickly, and the service is frustrating there. read more

The workers here are very, very nice and the quality of the drinks is great. But I miss the skeleton they dressed up in different clothes depending on the season/holiday. :( I would come to this location specifically over others in the area so I could see the skeleton and take pictures with it in whatever getup it currently had on. My friends loved seeing it on social media, and that skeleton always made my day. So this location loses one star for taking away its wonderful mascot. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love Starbucks, but the last few times I came here they didn't get my drink right. I ordered a matcha green tea latte with EXTRA matcha, and it's tasted like straight milk every time. There's also been a bunch of foam on top that takes up a good amount of the space in the cup. This place is slow and its dirty........ Tables outside including chairs are sticky, dirty and wet from spilled drinks, apparently they never have time to look around their cafe or clean up tables. Door handles are sticky and dirty including ground outside by tables where Spilled drinks never have been cleaned up leading to ants, flies and smelly garbage. I have recently moved in Thousand Oaks, and every morning since moving here I have came to get my coffee. These last two days have just been a huge dissapointment. Yesterday I got a Venti Iced Car. Latte + add shot and there was about 1/2 inch caramal at the bottom on the cup. So gross. Today I went and got a venti hot carm. latte +add shot and today they did not put the add shot. This totally sucked. I am at work now really annoyed with them as you can see. Other then that. They usally do a good job and are friendly. read more

This is one of the best run starbucks i have been in. I have been in some that the staff is so busy fooling around they dont take care of the place, but this one is always clean and well stocked and the staff works hard to make up happy and i its not they are willing to correct it. This is a good Starbucks to go to if you want a nice Frappuccino. The only complaint is the prices for a small drink it can be around 4-5 dollars which depending on your price range can be expensive, so if you want a good drink with a medium sized selection this is your place but come prepared with $5-$6. Usually this Starbucks is pretty good. The people are friendly enough. Not overly warm but okay. However today was not the best experience. The barista was on the phone and knocked my first café mocha over. So in the remake I think she only put in one shot of espresso for my grande mocha. UGG, tastes like a Hot cocoa that went wrong. As those who know me know, I spend a great deal of time in Starbucks. I have frequented Starbucks locations on three continents and in eight countries. This one is pretty nice, it is quieter and more out of the way than the other one just up the road on Wendy. They tend to play the music a little too loud here, and it's one of the smaller locations. That said, when you are able to get a seat they have the soft comfortable chairs, but only two low-tops. The rest are high-tops. If I'm reading, or working on my pad or ultrabook, I don't mind coming here. If I was working on a regular laptop, I would go up to Wendy. Virtually no patio seating, and no atmosphere for it either, it's just an old school strip mall. The staff here are nice and professional, but that's true of most Starbucks. This is a quieter location, so you're less likely to run into people you know . . . but hey, that can be a good thing. I will agree with a previous reviewer that occasionally you'll get a crazy chatting you up, especially if you sit outdoors. Indoors you're probably safe from those distractions. In short: a small location, with points for the soft chairs, but if you're not going to be taking advantage of that, you might be better off at the Wendy location. Music runs a bit loud, but the staff is nice and will remember your order if you come in often enough. Four stars. read more

Before starting a hike to Boney Mountain Overlook we stopped here to get some coffee and snacks and to hit the restroom. They had some interesting choices full of carbohydrates and sugary goodness. Went to this Starbucks, which closes an hour before the one with the drive thru does, and we came in a couple minutes before they closed. We offered to go to the other location but the manager in charge said we could take two drinks to go. And the girl shandy at the counter rolled her eyes, charged us, set our drinks down rather hard, and threw our cards down in the table. No goodnight, no bye, just walked away and started talking to one of her regular customers. I don't even usually like Starbucks but decides to give it a chance because I was desperate for some coffee. Not a good idea. Went there about a week ago and ordered a Frappuccino and a simple cup of coffee. I received the Frappuccino about 6 minutes after I ordered and continued to wait another 5 minutes for the cup of coffee (which they had clearly forgotten about) I ask on of the baristas and the tell me they are waiting for t to finish brewing. Shouldnt I have been told that while purchasing it not 15 minutes after? Anyway I continued to wait, after asking 3 other baristas for a cup of coffee that I had ordered and reviewing confused and rude looks from all of them a good 20 MINUTES after I ordered I got the cup. 20 minutes for a cup of coffee?!?
