I have been to this location a few times if I'm in the area and I won't deny that I've had better experiences at other locations. It's a small location so I don't tend to stick around. One time I got something totally opposite from what I ordered on one drink and a smaller size on the other (ordered venti, got grande). But since then the service has been better and my drinks have been correct. The staff is usually very friendly, but it gets cramped in there quickly.

This location has been renovated and just opened again. I do like the direction Starbucks is heading with the trendy atmosphere. The staff seemed really new. My pumpkin spice latte was missing the pumpkin spice topping. I do like this location more than the other Lonsdale location near 13th. It usually is not as crazy busy and I can find parking nearby.

Without sounding like a snob I write today's review... On a sunny morning where a gal orders a panini sandwich and venti frapp and then sits at the bar-like seating near the barista... Would you not put her sandwich on a plate? The frapp was divine and the sandwich breakfast-able but needing more grey poupon. ;)

I love this location, the staff are amazing even though it's a busy place but they never rush to take your order and always smiling :)

West of Java Coffee House is a low key place to stop by for your takeaway caffeine fix. I stopped…read moreby for my latte to go. Service is very efficient. The mini cafe is too small to accommodate much seating, so it's a locally roasted alternative (to the larger chains like Starbucks) for those who don't mind a quick pit stop en route to or from The Shipyards district. It's located conveniently off of Lonsdale and has a vintage feel - far from flashy. They proudly serve Bean Around The World locally roasted world coffees.

My daughter and I went to West of Java coffee house with Grandma for an afternoon snack. I'm quite…read moresure we've driven past this place thousands of times over the years but never really thought to go in until now. It was the " Gooey Cinnamon Rolls" sign that drew us in. Grandma was the one who saw the sign and thought it might be a nice place to try sometime.  Newsflash: The "Gooey Cinnamon Rolls" at West of Java come from Grounds for Coffee! Didn't know this when I stepped into the shop. It was while we were sitting down, enjoying our food and drink that I looked out the window and noticed the Grounds for Coffee logo printed on the "Gooey Cinnamon Rolls" sign that's hanging outside the shop. It's small and easy to miss, but it's unmistakably the Grounds for Coffee logo. I was over the moon when I realized that I no longer have to drive all the way to Commercial Drive or Alma St. to get those Cinnamon Rolls. Now I can get them anytime we go to visit Grandma!  Aside from my excitement about the Cinnamon Roll discovery, our drinks at West of Java were pretty nifty as well. We had Mocha, Chai Latte and a Matcha Latte.  I was also elated to discover that they allow people to bring in their own reusable cups and that you can get a discount for doing so! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street (If you're lucky enough to nab a spot!) Location: 105 1st St. East, North Vancouver
