I stop in this Starbucks when I'm in the area which seems to be a lot lately. I've always gotten great service. I usually order on the app for pickup. Most of the time I Turner yo change the app to pick up in the drive thru so I walk in. This is dangerous for me and I'm sure very strategic of Starbucks because o become tempted by the drink ware! I do like the set up of this Starbucks, it feels roomy yet still cozy. My coffee has always been made correctly here do that's a big positive! Update: just updating my review for this particular Starbucks. This is a large Starbucks, so there is a good amount of seating which is a definite positive. We chose a high top table on this visit. They also have mid top tables. Regular tables and bench seating. This particular location offers very large long tables for groups, or even individuals could spread out at either end. The service is nice and the beverages and snacks came out quickly and correctly. The bathrooms were clean and so was the premises. The playlist was a good level. It's a little bit dark inside, but I wanted to update my review. They also have some patio seating outside. read more

I walked in by myself. There were three to four employees working to serve the carry out window. Someone must have made a huge order because I stood there for 2 or 3 minutes without anyone making eye contact or saying something like, "Be right with you". I felt just like Dr. Malcolm Crowe. I just left and the silence as I walked out seemed to underscore that's what they prefered I do. I'll try going there again some time because I like all the space. If the same thing happens I'll leave again. If it doesn't I'll have a nice cup of coffee and play chess on my phone. I'll report back here either way. read more

I decided to work half a day at this location and I have no regrets! The service was great and the staff super friendly. I liked the spacious layout of this location the best. I sat at a window bar seat and felt like it was social distance safe. Now, my matcha latte was delicious! The perfect amount of matcha to milk. This is a pretty decent Starbucks with a drive thru that always seems to be packed, plenty of inside seating and outlets, and the usual friendly but hustling crew. They have a gated outdoor seating area that seems like the stole spaces from the parking lot in order to make it, bicycle parking, and (if you come in from the shops to the east) a slightly dangerous sidewalk that crosses the drive thru exit. I'm not a big fan of the high table "workstation" seating that most Starbucks have these days. This location has a very large version. They also have the comfy seats in a couple places, and the normal wooden seating everyplace else plus bar seating along the windows on the east side. Of all the Starbucks I've been to in Kansas City, this location is only 1 of 2 Starbucks that does not smell like burnt coffee. My biggest pet-peeve about the Starbucks chain in general is that whenever you leave, your clothes smell like burnt coffee and the smell lingers all day. This location smelled clean and fresh. I appreciate this a lot! This Starbucks is actually pretty large. There is a ton of seating and the area is very spacious. My passion iced tea was delivered quickly and their bathroom were clean. Today, a Barista name Chris who took my order around 4:25PM was a great help. I've been with Starbucks since I was in High School, and I've became a gold member couple years ago. No one told me I can literally get whatever I want with my rewards. So today I got myself two venti Latte with an extra shot for free. Go to another Starbucks. Went with a friend from out of town Saturday morning. We decided to go in not as many people waiting inside as we're in the drive through. Not sure how they manage the orders but they need to fix it. Would not recommend this Starbucks EVER. Many of us were waiting over 30 mins for our drinks. The drive through was faster. The kid working the register was nice enough but this girl Lillian was making coffee and giving customers evil faces. Completely unacceptable! No one acknowledges you and they act like it's your problem they lost or messed up your order. After I use up the money on my account , I will never go to a freestanding Starbucks. This SBUX is enormous. And apparently it used to be even bigger. The cashier told me it used to be twice as big until the walled it off on one side. Cool. I guess. Maybe they could try to stuff more employees in it so I could actually get my drink in a timely manner. Anyway, after the small talk I ordered a tall soy latte. Since there was only one employee working (it was about 7PM) and two people were in line, I waited for my latte for about 7 minutes (which is unacceptable according to the SBUX Corporate Code). After she put her fingers in my cup (I hate that!) to hand it to the invisible barista, she set it on the counter where it sat and, had I been in Seattle where I normally reside, mold would have formed inside the cup. After staring at her for a bit she finally came over and pushed a button or two. A standard soy latte was the result. Yay. read more

Many other local coffee shops offer very spotty quality. And the local coffee shops seem to go in and out of business on a regular basis. I go to Starbucks just about everyday around the Overland Park area and have never had any issues with mobile ordering. Me along with 7 other people waited around the counter for drinks for more 12 minutes while the two baristas joked and laughed about people who order hot chocolates. Once mobile orders were being completed they sat by the drive thru counter before someone realized they were sitting there instead of in the mobile order section of the counter. Very disappointed that drink is estimated to take 4-7 minutes and I stood inside the store after ordering when 9 minutes out for more than 10 minutes. read more
