I was shopping for some coffee products and they had a good selection. When I went to check out one item was marked 50% , I asked the cashier if it came up as 50%, and he seemed annoyed I asked. It had not and he proceeded to tell me sometimes the items are not placed in alignment with the price tag. I told him I was sure it was correct. He called over another clerk and she confirmed it was supposed to be 50%. He never apologized or acknolwedged the error. While I will be back to shop for items, customer service needs to improve.

Whole tamarind pods, not paste but the real deal. Aloe. Yucca. Chinese melons. And even red-flesh dragon fruit. The kind that makes your smoothie look like it came from a fairy tale. Normally, I plan a separate pilgrimage to Jongboo, H Mart, or Seoul Market for these ingredients. Reviews for those are coming, I promise. But this was unexpected magic in a mainstream aisle. I have spent a lot of time in Asia for work and completely fell in love with the food. My husband and kids are on board, so our kitchen is a happy rotation of Korean BBQ, Japanese curry, Singapore noodles, and hot pot. And this Whole Foods just made that rotation easier. The store is well kept and full of all kinds of goodies for one's home and kitchen. They have all the appliances open for touching and looking at, which I like, and has a major advantage over Amazon. I'll be looking for a new electric tea kettle soon and they have them here so I'll stop by to poke and prod. The staff member who helped me was friendly and it was easy and quick to pick up my item. When you order for in store pick-up you just need to show your ID, they bring out your item, and then you sign for confirmation of pickup. Easy peasy.
