I stopped in to get a drink before heading to training. The cashier was very friendly along with other staff. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte. Earned extra starts for bringing in my own Starbucks cup plus get a discount. The location was clean and I would return.

    Where's the whip?!?!!!?

Starbucks is definitely one of my favorite places to get a a caramel frappe, the taste is so yummy but the price isn't, thus my once a month visit (if I can wait that long.) I'm a gold card member and the perks are pretty great, earn stars for freebies along with offers every now and then. I've been to this location several times, good service for the most part, seating is sometimes hard to get due to teens stopping by and hanging out during lunch time. But overall good. During my last visit I was quite disappointed with my drink...it was more in the creamy side than frozen, and they skipped on the whip big time! It's my favorite part They do offer a lot of treats, a lot of the prepackaged ones on the healthier side. The outdoor seating is nice..however this location is quite smaller than most.

Wow! I don't typically review at all.. But this staff at around lunch time was amazing! They all made me feel like they had been expecting me. Very friendly and talked to me like a real human and took time to have a quick 15 second chat.

Well, it's another Starbucks. Those of you who may have read my past Starbucks reviews probably know that I tend to focus more on the environment at these places rather than the product. Why? Well, I've yet to find one where the product was bad; I've always gotten good coffee, and the locations are practically everywhere, so it's almost down to "what makes this Starbucks different from the rest?" Number one, and maybe a deal-killer for some: This location doesn't have a drive thru. Sorry! What it does have, though, is a good seating arrangement inside, with a lot of windows to let the sunlight in. It's clean and inviting, and it was perfect for me to spend about 3 hours with my laptop and a cuppa, doing some work while I was waiting on my wife to have a procedure done at a nearby doctor's office. In addition, I had an egg salad sandwich, which was very good. Bottom line: This is a location that's not in an area that's packed with Starbucks on every corner, so if you're OK with coming in to get your fix, it's not too hard to get in and out of, and just like almost every other Starbucks that's corporately owned (I'm not talking about the ones inside grocery stores and such, that's a whole different kettle of, well, coffee beans), you'll get some good joe and have a place to hang if you need to.

What is cool about this coffee shop is that they have entertainment available as well as wide variety of coffee, tea, and pastries. My friend and I got the oolong tea and sat by the fireplace enjoying the Christmas songs sang by the students of a singing class. The staff also seemed friendly and helped us choose a tea of our choice. They also have a cute little store in the back of the coffee shop as well with items for sale.

The staff was really kind and helped me navigate a few syrup options since I am dairy free. I finally settled on a large almond milk late with two sugar in the raw. I quickly realized this is not an overly digitized coffee experience, which I like, but it did mean it took a lot longer to make my drink than I anticipated. The kind barista finally gave me my drink and we had to jet out to make football practice. The ambiance was chill. Almost every seat in the place was taken by someone with a laptop so I'm not sure I would come back here with the intent to find a seat. The latte was okay. The espresso tasted a little burnt and was actually quite weak - I wish I had gotten an extra shot. I'm glad I made it back to try Mudleaf, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to try it again.

Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

We quickly perused the remaining pastries and chose a dark chocolate croissant for me as well as a milk chocolate cannoncino for the kids to share. I added a medium, hot, almond milk latte to the order. The pastries were served in a cute white box, rather than being thrown into a paper bag like other places do. I'm happy to say they stayed intact or the drive home. The croissant was warm and the cannoncino chilled. The croissant was dense, not fluffy or flaky, there was almost a doughiness to it. It was packed with chocolate and I could tell it was dark chocolate. I wasn't a fan of the dense dough and after a few bites I was done. The kids both tried to finish it but said it tasted lemon-y and weren't fans. The kids liked the chocolate and pastry of the cannoncino. At first sip the latte tasted good. Well balanced espresso and almond milk. However, after the foam settled the cup was maybe 3/4 filled and my stomach got really upset within a few minutes of drinking the latte. Not sure if it's the type of almond milk used or if the cup used to steam the almond milk had previously been used for cow's milk, but either way it didn't sit well for me. I'm glad we tried Palmieri and would definitely recommend it to others. It's an out of the way spot that has plenty of indoor seating and decent parking too. The service is friendly and welcoming and there are a lot of drink options and food choices as well.
