So now I'm sitting here with a cup full of boba, no straw capable of retrieving said boba, and a random emotional-support lid that belongs to a completely different cup. At this point the boba is no longer a beverage. It's an aquarium. I can see the little pearls swimming around at the bottom, living their best lives, completely inaccessible to me. Horrible customer service. My 15-year-old daughter ñ stopped by to pick up her drink. The Starbucks app showed her order was ready at 1:34 PM, but by 1:41 PM she was still waiting. She could clearly see her drink sitting on the counter, yet when she politely asked about it, she felt completely ignored. I ended up going inside myself and showed an employee that the app indicated the drink was ready. Only then did he put a sleeve on the cup and hand it to me. My daughter had been watching the same drink get passed around behind the counter the entire time. Unfortunately, this is not the first issue I've had at this Starbucks. I love Starbucks and am a loyal customer of the locations on Moon Drive and Telegraph Road in Ventura, where the staff are friendly, professional, and attentive. This location, however, consistently provides poor customer service and lacks effective management. This location gave us the wrong food and after returning it inside they simple handed the returned item to the next Customer and asked them if they wanted "free food". Went to this Starbucks this morning which is normally a good experience. Once out of the drive thru I realized I didn't get what I ordered and cup wasn't marked as decaf. I had to turn around and go back inside to fix my pricey plus tip coffee. When I explained the situation to the barista who will go unnamed, he was polite, but there really wasn't much acknowledgment of the inconvenience or apology for the mistake. In fact he said "you're ok" as if I'd done something wrong. The other barista confirmed it was decaf with a quick yep but since the cup wasn't labeled, there was no way for me to know that initially. I eventually requested a remake just to be safe as they just wanted me to believe it was correct. The new coffee was made correctly, and then I was told where I could get my own cream. A simple apology and a little more understanding would have gone a long way, especially considering the extra time involved and the cost of a coffee these days. Instead of the perception that I was the problem. So in the end it was possibly the wrong coffee, no cream, an inconvenience of going back inside and waiting, no apology for the inconvenience and a lot of money. I won't be back. read more

This Starbucks is located on Channel Islands Blvd & Wheelhouse Ave. It's right across from the Naval Base in a busy shopping area, right in front of PetCo. Also next door to Kung Fu Noodles & Taco Bell. Mornings are usually busy here both inside & at the drive through. I order on the Mobile App before arriving since I'm usually in a hurry if I'm at a Starbs. That way if the drive thru is super long, I can just park, go inside & pick up my order. Pretty friendly employees here. No problems whenever I go through the drive thru. They usually have my order ready & accurate at the time promised at the drive thru. read more

Good customer service. Yelp Hours say 10pm close but it's actually 9pm today, 9.2.23. I got a large/Venti iced matcha latte but it was watered down compared to the Port Hueneme coffee shop I get it at. My fave PH coffee shop is def generous with the matcha! Also, I noticed they do not use barista milk . It was regular gallon of milk unlike my fave local coffee shop. Just wish it was open late as Starbucks is. Place looked clean. Used the drive thru and ordered a coffee and two pastries. One pastry was the Dubai bites and the other the chocalate swirl croissant. The total on the screen showed $8.50. Now the reason I rate this place as the worst Starbucks ever is due to the fact when I pulled over to get my order, the Barista gave me one coffee and one pastry. The pastry called Dubai bites, had only one item, even the picture of this item had two little pastries. I'll chalk that up to false advertisement, but the Barista closed the window like we were done. I waited her to acknowledge me and I asked where my chocalate swirl croissant was. Then she digs around and hands it to me. No apology for trying to rush me out even though there's no one behind us. When I got home, I realized she charged me $13 instead of the $8.50 that was totalled on the screen. I happen to be in Port Hueneme and decided to stop and go inside this Starbucks for quick break. Got my favorite pastry and some nitro cold brew. I think this store is slightly undermanned and they have a drive thru as well...my heart went out to the person serving me as she was the only counter person and still provided a smile that touched her eyes (she wore a mask ) and was moved as quickly as she could without being anxious. I got my order pretty quickly and it was nice to have my pastry with some coffee while listening to the music that was on the cafe's speakers. Overall, the store is modern, and clean! I just visited the Starbucks location. It is not the biggest but I've been to but there is a drive-through which may or may not cause a lot of traffic nearby. What's funny is that the sign outside is a small logo for that spot but I feel like It can definitely be a tad bigger. What is great is that they have two restrooms inside and I really had to go. Sorry TMI. Afterwards, I placed my drink order and it was done shortly after. Inside is very modern and renovated so it is nice inside. The team members are really quick and efficient and my drink was done shortly after. I feel like especially with the drive-through I'm sure this is a very popular location that people will come to in this area. I've Been a morning patron at this location since 2021, when I moved to "Silver Strand Beach" frequenting this establishment a minimum of 5 to 7 days a week, spending an average of $16 to $28 daily, at times a bit more if I'm treating, when we meet with neighbors and friends, however We will NOT be returning to this Starbucks , further more I will be deleting my Starbucks App. Do to the Lack of Service, improper training , Customer Service etiquette & Disrespect. Not limited to just me but others in our group I've also witnessed other customers whom I chat with prior to this unnecessary and unpleasant encounter on other occasions, they've also have expressed and experienced similar issues, specially from the morning crew I usually use the app to pay and walk away, not paying much attention to the total amount charges, on this day we stayed a bit longer and I made an additional second order. The second amount seemed a bit higher then usual..... so I asked for a printed receipt, much to my surprise I was charged an additional $3.45 plus a .70 € up sale because its steam "cream" Totaling almost $8 dollars for a second cup of coffee. when I questioned "Jacqui " she seemed bothered and frustrated after the morning rush and instead of answering my question she schooled me on how to order my drink for the next time ..... Showing no customer service skills during our first order either I was previously greeted by "Edith" whom seemed NOT happy to be of Service, but In a rush, short and dismissive. We are regulars at this location and I do understand they can at times be overwhelmed but the service is less than I know since Covid you have to ask for utensils, lids, and anything that used to be out is no longer there, so when you ask any of the crew for additional items, the respond has often been. Are you going to want anything else? just simply not away to answer a patron or anyone, it's common courtesy, I was raised to better than that. And so I asked for the manager, "Ines" she responded after intentionally keeping us waiting of to the side being ignored and so we patiently waited, I was still hopeful of turning this around NOT expecting to receive a challenging disrespectful comment from "Ines" as she was quick to point to the bulletin board and instructed me to call corporate if I had a problem and the district manager, it was obvious she had trained the other employees herself, I usually can relate working myself with the public @ LAX for Alaska Airlines for over 26 years with lots more pressing issues, such as delays , oversold flight, mechanical delay, weather grounding planes for days at a time during holidays and in weather catastrophes, yet in such companies employees are trained to serve the public with respect and dignity I've never experienced such degree of disrespect or unqualified set of 3 women serving the public, in the front lines of such A corporate establishment specially at this military Starbucks. I since switched to Coffee Bean on Victoria and have save myself a negative start of my day Ines, shame on you as a manager, you have shown 0 leadership as such nor a example as an Adult to the young trainee, you were challenging in directing me to the main board to follow up with a district manager, I will follow your lead in that is what I will do next. I stopped going to Starbucks for like a whole year due to bad past experiences, and decided to give it another chance today. Placed a mobile order for an iced coffee with cold foam at 1:10pm. Pretty simple, quick drink to make. At 1:15 I got notified that the drink was ready for pickup. I walked to the counter and nothing was there. I waited 5 mins and someone asked me the name for my order. I saw my drink sitting with ice in it waiting for the cold foam. It sat for 5 more minutes after that. I didn't walk out with my drink until 1:27. Several others that ordered at the counter after me got their fancy blended drinks well before I got my simple iced coffee. I commented on how I saw it sitting with the ice melting for over 5 mins. They handed me a $4 gift card and shooed me out. We were over at Channel Islands Harbor, hanging out and watching the boats go by. Dear Hubby suggested finding a nearby Starbucks to hang out and enjoy a Frappuccino while sitting outside. This location popped up on Yelp as being closest, so over we went. Walking in the door was a pleasant surprise. Their interior is quite spacious, with a bright style that suggests either a recent remodel or a newer tenancy. Either way, with late afternoon sun slanting in, the effect was warm and welcoming. DH handled our order, while I went outside to find a table. One sour note was the disheveled patio furniture. I was ready to sit on comfortable chairs, but someone had left a package of food stuffed between the cushions. Why? What else was there? Didn't want to find out, so moved to a conventional table and chairs. It wasn't the cleanest, but one of the staff members cheerfully cleaned it. He remarked that they'd had a very busy day with the heat wave. The result was that at 6:00, it was about 84 degrees, that perfect temperature where you don't feel the air on your skin. I was feeling sleepy, and enjoyed the quiet of sitting in the filtered fading sunlight with DH as the world went about its business. This is a good spot to have that kind of moment. This Starbucks is clean and has a drive-thru. It used to have indoor and outdoor seating, but since March 2020 is when they shut their doors and they only allowed drive-thru. Which is cool, but the drive-thru line gets busy here. I used to enjoy using the app, prior to them closing their doors and it became drive-thru only. But whats the point of ordering ahead only for your food and drinks to sit and wait while you're sitting and waiting in drive-thru. I wish Starbucks was more organized like Chic filet, where you can order through the app and not have to wait in drive-thru and they bring it out to your car. Well this Starbucks isn't set up like that. Besides, the whole adjustment to the Rona era, I still like this Starbucks. Its clean and the employees have been nice. Very bad service. I ordered 5 drinks on the mobile app and when I got there I asked for a drink carrier. They said they didn't have any and hadn't had any in a while. I asked for a bag and the barista proceeded to say "I only have big bags, so I can give it to you but the drinks will probably just spill" so then I asked how to people usually carry this many drinks out. This is my favorite location! I actually live closer to another but will go out of my way to come to this one because their customer service is that great. PLUS! I really appreciate how this location acknowledges military service. I generally use the drive-thru, and although it can get a bit congested, I'm greeted with kindness and have actually been accommodated for waiting too long. I don't expect perfection. It's a busy location, and if there weren't so many people, I'd probably spend more time inside.
