I have to defend my neighborhood Starbucks. I frequent this location (as seen by my somewhat embarrassing 21 check ins here...) and I have yet to have a negative experience. For the first few weeks they were open, I would come upon no one in the drive thru and I would feel like a VIP, zipping through quickly. Even now, since the word has gotten out that there is a drive thru Starbucks in Midtown/Downtown, the wait in the drive thru is minimal. The baristas are friendly and knowledgable and they serve my coffee and food as expected. I especially like the friendly girl with the braces. She is rad. So, there, Starbucks Downtown, you have been rightfully defended (my work here is done). read more

Busy spot. Friendly, quick service. One thing though, I frequent Starbucks all over the world and I have to say this one had one of the filthiest bathrooms I've seen. (I've seen gas stations with cleaner). The employees are so busy they can't keep on top of it. After three visits, I feel I can say that this is one of the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. My first trip had a line of people waiting for their beverages. My second visit I had to ask one of the girls to make my breakfast sandwich, which been ordered via the mobile app. I received my beverage and waited well over ten minutes for my sandwich. I was the only customer ordering a hot sandwich. My third visit I received one of my drinks then stood and waited for my second drink. Again, after watching and seeing nobody working on any beverages I made contact with one of the girls and saw her fill the cup with milk and ice. I travel for work and depend on Starbucks because of its consistency. This Starbucks doesn't have the speed that I see at other stores throughout the country. read more

Just going to say that you guys need to get a bigger stock of food supplies. Every time I go to this location my usual drink doesn't taste how it should. I'm guessing their syrups aren't remixed everyday for good flavor. Today I even went back to get it fixed and it still came out bitter and like it's mixed w other things, but they insured me it was the right ingredients so I don't know. When you have a drive thru line out to the street, you don't sit here hanging out the drive up window socializing with every customer. Its discourteous to everyone else in line, especially when people downtown are trying to get to work. This place has numerous other faults as well for such a busy location. They don't fill up the drinks all the way and they've forgotten my food order inside twice so I had to wait double the time when it was already way too long. I'm done with this place. There's so many other good coffee shops in town to give my business to. read more

I hate writing bad reviews for places but I think it's time. This is the 5th time that I've been to the Starbucks because it's closest to my house and every time I go it's something different. This time I went in there was no wait there was nobody even around and ordered my drink and then a small Rush game and I waited 15 minutes to get my drink which they had forgot about. I had to stand there and watch everyone else get their coffee. While I was in a hurry. Other times they have been rude to my boyfriend about the order they have messed up on our coffee. I realize that it is a busy company but it's also good to provide good customer service which has been lacking severely at this establishment. I am immensely disappointed. I feel like they are lacking on friendly fun people skills. read more

So... I ordered a coffee and two pastries. No chocolate shakers by the mixing area. I tried to get the attention of a barista who was talking about her dental work to get a chocolate shaker, but she seemed too busy explaining her dental work to notice my tries to get her attention. Another barista saw me trying to get her attention and told me they've been out of chocolate for awhile. "Really? Then what do you use for the coffee drinks?", I thought to myself. It was around 7am on a Saturday, so not busy at all. The area where customers mix their coffee was pretty dirty with sugar and stuff. Went there with my friend yesterday when they weren't really busy and got 2 drinks. I got a refresher and she got an Iced americano. After they took our order it started to get busy. I received my drink but she didn't. Then people who ordered after is for their drinks and we were still waiting for hers. When we finally got her drink the girl yelled out her order then risky put the drink down and just tossed a straw at it. She never smiled and never said anything to us. Not once have they gotten my drink order correct. Irritated. Awful selection of pastries, I got the last of a chocolate donut, and then the wonderful barista dropped it on the ground. Instead of refunding me my donut, what does he do instead? Kindly give me a dried up old fashioned donut. It took them two tries to make my drink, because they didn't understand to make it with a milk alternative. Luckily they caught their mistake. I'd give this particular Starbucks a pass, if I were you. The wait is generally quite long. I've waited up to 10 minutes at the drive through where, unfortunately, you can't get away once you're stuck there. Today, with the drive through line of cars hitting about 8, I went inside. There was no one in front of me in line so I thought this would be good. However, I waited at the counter for about 2 minutes with no one coming to take my order. After that I just left, thinking that if it is more than 2 minutes to take my order, how long would it be to actually get a cup of coffee. I wish I could cash in the Starbucks gift card I got - so not worth it. Also, I've gotten an inedible breakfast sandwich here with my coffee once in the drive through. The muffin-and-ham sandwich was still ice cold in the middle. So, give this place a pass and hit one of the non-chain coffee shops nearby. The low review is primarily due to the service that has gone significantly downhill. I usually stop at this Starbucks pretty regularly before work. This Starbucks has the SLOWEST drive thru of any of them in town. Yesterday after the line not moving for 15 minutes, I just left. This morning, there weren't many cars, but enough that my drink should have been ready when I pulled up. Instead it was another 5 minutes after my card was processed before I was handed my drink. "Just go inside" you say? It isn't any faster, and I've had them put my order on the drive thru counter. It took me 5-10 minutes to get someone's attention to grab it for me. And the point of a drive thru is for it to be quicker than getting out of your vehicle, walking inside, waiting in line, ordering, waiting for your drink, and then walking back to your car, getting in and driving away. They need to take the service in the drive thru (and inside) up a notch. read more

I have not yet been to this Starbucks but I wanted to enlighten on the Clover machine. It's supposed to be the only machine they will use to make their only water-processed (read no methylene chloride) Sumatra decaf, which some people like me would walk a mile for a good decaf w/no chemicals. I waited in the drive threw for 30 minutes and then when I came inside and waited 30 minutes for a cup of coffee while there was a total of 4 people working. I work right down the street and go to this Starbucks often as it is very convenient. This morning I went with a fellow co-worker before 7:00 am. We had to order multiple drinks for, my co worker want to split up her transaction and the person working at the register argued with her about doing this and just ended up saying "well I can do it all in one, that will be better" which my co-worker gave in reluctantly. I ordered a non fat drink with no whip. After waiting for maybe 5-10 minutes (and no other customer had been in front of us) and there were 3/4 people working my co worker received her order finally. When I received my I could clearly tell that there was whip on it and plus I had tasted it. I politely asked for a spoon so I could scoop it off and the barista who made my drink who was the same worker who took our order snapped back "that is foam not whip thanks". I thought about arguing with her but at this point there were multiple customer behind us who were now waiting for their drinks. Once we got back to work I took the foam off and began drinking my drink to find out I didn't have non fat milk like requested. The service was horrible here, while it may be a new beautiful building I would much rather go to a small local shop which is just as close in location to my job that will provide better customer service read more
