Don't go in the bathroom. No Toilet paper and getting gross. Coincidentally, I had been in this bathroom the day before and it was obvious it not been cleaned. Today there was no TP. No soap. Most of the business here seems to be the drive through. If you use SB for their bathrooms, take this one off your list. It's disgusting . Did buy a coffee here and staff at first appeared to be trying but came off as impatient and annoyed. I can't imagine the of dealing with the public, yet it's time for this server/barista to retire. A barista posted anonymously that when a mother orders the same drink for her kids, she puts whipped cream on one of the drinks to watch the kids fight. In the comments, some people laughed and some were horrified. That could have been this guy. He's probably putting whipped cream on one drink and not the other and smiling when they fight as I type this. Drive by this place. It's dark and the bathroom is probably beyond gross by now. read more

Honestly, this is the perfect picture of where the Starbucks Corporation is these days. Hardworking and generally genial staff, but it is so attuned to the drive-up traffic it is pretty much useless to sit in despite plenty of space. The chairs are sadistically designed to discourage anybody sitting in one for more than ten minutes. What could be a pleasant space is instead a form of torture. Just in case you didn't get the message that the walk-in, hang around reading crowd is not welcome, the only comfortable chairs in the whole store are deliberately positioned six feet away from and facing into the bathrooms. The staff chase drive-up orders nonstop, leaving anybody unlucky enough to have come inside to wait for their drinks and suffer sitting down. This is a shame, and a long way from what used to be. I can't but help somebody beside me will understand this and finally revolt against this McDonaldization of what was a nice place to get coffee and talk to people. read more

I have decided that I'm going to start doing reviews on every Starbucks I visit. Why not right?!? Relatively no wait at this location which was great considering it was still early morning. However, as I normally do, I get the same order. Blue berry muffin, warmed up, with a frapp of some sort. I give them three stars for one reason and one reason only. They didn't warm up my blue berry muffin. Which I know may not seem like a big deal. Let me tell you why. My boyfriend came with me. He doesn't normally visit Starbucks or drinks it. So with that being said, after I ordered he looked right at me and said, "I don't think this girl is going to warm up your muffin." Why did he say that you ask? He could hear it in the girls voice that she wasn't about to do it. Her tone of voice seemed very "I'm above you, You will take what I give you." Which is why they have earned 3 stars. Starbucks is too expensive for their employees to constantly make errors. Price point is not worth it. Drink was fine though for the most part. read more

My friend tam cam got me hooked on this snickerdoodle hot chocolate!! So during my Starbucks tour of RVA, I've discovered that the Starbucks inside of target is cheaper:). The barista at this location was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She gave me information about there app and ingredient insight on some of the drinks. Was told they close at 8:30 on Sundays instead of 9pm. Not nearly my favorite Starbucks in town, either. Try Robinson St., the one near the river road shopping center, the one in the village shopping center, or the one on Libbie and Grove. Or avoid Starbucks completely b/c there's a growing local coffee scene in RVA. On the southside, Taza (brand new) and Crossroads Coffee & Ice Cream. North of the river, try Carytown Bistro, Black Hand, Urban Farmhouse, or Lamplighter. read more

I have multiple office locations around the Richmond area and visit 3 different Starbucks locations weekly. When I enter this store at Forest Hill Ave. the baristas always remember my name and provide hands down the best customer service even when I'm in a rush and submit a mobile order. I purposely use a personal cup so as not to waste an insane amount of plastic. My first visit here the barista was too busy with mobile orders to label my cup that I handed to him instead of a plastic one. So I ended up with my reusable glass cup AND a wasteful plastic one. After waiting 10 minutes for my order, my drink wasn't even the quality I can typically expect. Clearly rushed. I was not impressed and will not be back to this location. read more

(It's closer to me than the one I work at) The cafe is always clean and nicely organized, the staff are all so friendly, mobile orders are prompt, service is quick, and the drinks are consistently made correctly. Fast, consistently friendly and brewed right! Very tolerant of kids and large orders. It's like heading to a place where everyone knows your name, especially after the rush in the AM. This location continues to dissapoint. Ordered a caramel latte, extra hot. Not quite sure what they consider extra hot, but mine was not even medium hot. The cup was clearly marked. I was running late and wanted a good drink, next time I will just do without. When I pay $5.18 for a coffee, I darn well want it the way I ordered it. I ordered a Mocha Frapp, no whipped and substitute with Expresso. There was the old white man with a very sour face taken my order. Not only he didn't substitute with Expresso for my Frapp, he also put whipped on my drinks. I said no whipped, and I asked are you sure this is substitute with Expresso, because it just taste like regular Mocha Frapp which I normally order. He replied yes, there are lots of Expresso in it.
