I usually go through the drive-thru locations, but on my on my way home today noticed this location did not look busy, i pulled into get a cold brew and maybe a snack. I walked in and there was two employees behind the counter, both talking to what I thought was a customer. I stood there quite awhile without any greeting. I finally realized the guy is not really a customer and there joking around he asking what kind of. Chicken one them wanting. This place used to be busy and friendly like an in- n-out of Chic-filet is now. Now it's like going to the DMW where the employees look miserable and bothered that you might want something. So sad, I hope the owner of this establishment gets a clue and gets some service back in there. I not going back , but wish them luck. read more

3/5 stars to begin on Yelp... this may contribute to that.. I asked one question to my barista "Alma." One question. "Does the cinnamon dolce tall come with two or three pumps?" She replied "three." I responded," can you please only put two?" She smiled And said, "sure." Alma turns her head slowly towards the cashier, opens her eyes really BIG.. and returns to making my drink. It was a simple request. I had placed my order Rather efficiently with the cashier and walked over to pick up. Before she steamed the milk.. cup in hand is when I asked her. Problem. I saw her. So did the nice man standing f to my right. He said "wow." So my concern for you Starbucks is that this barista made no effort to hide her opinion of adding one less pump to my drink. It was very clear to me and the other customer that this bothered her. My suggestion to Alma: possibly reconsider your career path. Customer service is not it. Alma, you're young, and you are going to possibly cross paths with some very challenging situations (customers) as you mature in life. And those people may not be as friendly as I was. There are bigger issues in life my dear to get all worked up about. So pull up your big girl pants and enjoy what you do. And mean it. Be genuine. It's a beautiful quality to be accused of. . When you interviewed for this position and smiled, did you mean it? Or did you know that you had an issue with customer service? Did you have a bad day possibly? I've come here twice during "quarantine" and I appreciate their process! You can order ahead and when you arrive you don't even have to go inside, someone greets you at the door and places your drinks on a table outside for you to grab and go. Friendly and drinks tasted great too read more

Ordered a travelers jug for my 6am meeting. The mobile app, website, and Yelp info said this place is open by 5am. Placed the order and it said it will be ready in 12min. Perfectly arrive 5:30. The door is close and has a sign "use the other door". The workers inside who can clearly see me won't even give me a sign which door. Then I read a yellow post-it saying they open 6am. So I gave a hand sign to the workers if I can talk to them and ask how to cancel my paid order. They ignored me for 15min. She finally came out and said use the "other" door. I went there but the door is also close. I waited another 5min. She came out and said the are not open until 6am. I told her that's ok if I knew that. Or at least if she talked to me 20min earlier I could have cancelled the order and went to another coffee shop. She was not even apologetic and gave me excuses that she wasn't working yesterday and doesn't know about the online stuff. I should have been ok with the door or using post-it to inform mobile users if their new working hours. But the totally ignoring me for 20min is disrepectful. Out of courtesy the workers should have at least approach me. And giving me a bad attitude early in the morning... That is bad. read more

Great quiet place to study and hangout! This is honestly my favorite starbucks in the area, the baristas are always super nice and friendly and my drinks always come out right. S/O to barista Sophia for introducing me to blonde espresso! The only thing that needs improvement is that the outside trashcans do need to be thrown more often, but the inside of the store is clean. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks in Riverside. It even tops the new one off University which has been open for less than a month. The ambiance here is truly a cafe shop one. There is no drive thru but the baristas stay busy here! Very nice customer service and they have NEVER have ruined or mistaken my drink. They also have the most comfortable love seats better than the ones from the Pierce St. location. read more

The ambiance is probably one of the best to study at, with stable wifi & lots of tables. Unfortunately, the employees here are SO RUDE in comparison to the Starbucks on Blaine & the one in the UV Plaza. Actually, this Starbucks probably has the rudest employees at any Starbucks location I've been to. My friend got judged like crazy by the baristas for ordering a cool lime refresher, which is not okay. There's is one nice blonde girl who works cashier most of the time; she makes coming her a-ok! This location is literally a two minute drive from my place, and has ample study space. The actual people who come to this location are pretty interesting & very polite, too, If the service was better, this Starbucks would actually be a great place to be at. read more

The other reviews pretty much sum it up correctly... They never have any Starbucks "partners" that are unfriendly. Everyone truly does know your name and they seem to really care when they ask "how you are doing?" The manager is really on top of things! Even when there is a line out the door, they always get you in and out quickly! It's super close to UCR and in a safe shopping center (canyon crest towne centre) so you see alot of students studying. Also there is a really neat play fountain for kids to play in while moms are having their lattes, gets ALOT of use during the summer! GO-TO DISH: Iced Green Tea, no sweetener, no water! or my grande quad americano, oh and the multi-grain bagel is pretty delicious and when I have a little extra to spend, I get the protein plate. read more

I'm not talking about "for a starbucks they're pretty good," No. I'm talking about how I've never seen ANY general public area serve customers like king and queens the way this Starbucks does. I go periodically in the mornings and the enthusiasm, joy, and respect they have to elders and students alike is really great. Out of the many times I go here, there was one time where i hunkered down studying, and my drink cup was empty. A worker approached me and the surrounding students saying, "Hello guys, I've noticed all of you have been studying hard for a couple hours now. Is there anything I may help you with? I frequent this Starbucks because it's close but it's NEVER consistent in beverage quality or customer service. I also see how they craft beverages and it's hardly ever to standard. They put ice before the espresso, which makes the coffee watered down. They don't stir the espresso into the syrup which leaves a whole layer of flavor at the bottom. They hardly shake teas when I order them, etc. I used to be a partner so if my customers are paying 5+ dollars for a drink, I made sure they got what they paid for. Sadly, this location 9/10 times does not make my drink correctly. However, 3 stars because on some days the front barista is very nice & customizes to ensure I get what I pay for (like a grande drink w/ foam in a venti cup to get the full drink instead of a venti drink w/foam), mobile order is always ready, & food is always tasty. The manager here also always goes above & beyond for the customers. They know their regulars for sure! But don't be disappointed when you don't get that same treatment. This place is so inconsistent. I put an mobile order around 6AM this morning as I always do before work. I got to this location around 6:06AM and both doors were locked. The 2 workers didn't even acknowledge me at first until I knocked on the side door. Instead of coming to the door she just stayed behind the counter and held up "30" with her hands. I pointed to my phone to try and show her my mobile order and she just put her hands up and looked irritated. If they were closed then why did the app let me put in my order? I tried calling the number but it was busy. There were 3 other people a who showed up a little after I did. One said she put in a mobile order too but she said neither one of the workers even acknowledged her when she went to the door. And an older couple showed up and even said that this location is inconsistent. Their sign clearly said they were open at 5:30am-9pm. Now I'm at work without my order that was already paid for.
