So I have to update my review. Since my last review, there has been a huge change. This is my favorite Starbucks location since it's just walking distance away from me, I go here regularly to get my matcha. Barbara is the best! She makes my matcha perfect, and always have a smile on her face and very polite. I think there was a change of most of the baristas since the last I had an issue here, but since then service was great, plus there's a lot of seatings inside and outside compared to the other locations. Great location, great staff, great service but very majorly understaffed. Placed an online order and waited 30 mins after my pick up had been marked as "ready". Thank you for continuing to hire friendly happy baristas. I went in today and a barista by the name of Eliana took my order. I notice she is new. I love her cheerful, "Welcome In." It means more than you know coming from someone with anxiety in public settings. I frequent this cafe when I shop at Safeway because I like the baristas and the cafe atmosphere. I wanted to try a new drink today, but I wasn't sure what drink I would like. Eliana took the time to help me figure out what I might like. I am a creature of habit and stick to the same old drink, always hot. I tried the iced Chestnut Praline and it is now my new favorite drink for Christmas. Sweet and nutty just like me! I walked in on Sunday about 12:15 pm with two other people. We stood in the line for about 3 minutes while the two counter staff went about their business. One appeared to be making drinks while the other was busy preparing sandwiches or pastries. Neither one bothered to even acknowledge our presence. I understand being busy but ignoring customers physically standing in the store is never a good idea. A simple "hello" or "I'll be right with you" is all it takes. Made a stop in Salinas on the way to Paso Robles, and was pleased to find this modern and honestly kind of beautiful Starbucks in the Creekbridge Plaza! With an airy interior, terrazzo floors, and complete with a skylight, this is one of the prettiest Starbucks shops I have experienced. Plus, the employees were all extremely friendly and fast. There was 3 people in the store waiting. And one person got there order and he ordered after me. Then it took 15 minutes. Now there was 1 worker but she was talking like there was no care in the world. If she was working and preparing her drinks then that's different but she wasn't. Then there was another worker helping. Still no drink. Then a third worker doing the drinks. 15 minutes later. I took my drink and snack to the cash register to get my refund. First of all, I want to say that I always have great service from the employees here, especially the morning team, but I guess tonight was THE NIGHT. I went in about an hour before closing time and the girls there were doing cleaning duties. Nothing wrong with that, but when I went up to the counter to place an order Mayra was the one who rung me up. She stepped away from her sweeping duties to take my order. I told her I wanted two toasted white chocolate mocha frappes. She responded with " you said soy?" and I responded with, "um...regular"? At this point I could tell that her mind was probably somewhere else. I couldn't be further from the truth. The girl who made the drinks seemed nice, but i realized that my drinks werent right. they were two vanilla creme frappes. I'm not one to be picky or angry usually and I understand that people make mistakes, but when I informed Mayra that they didn't look like toasted white chocolate mochas, she responded kinda rudely with " I repeated your order and that's what you said." I usually don't let things get to me, but she's basically calling me a liar. You don't respond to people like that. whether they said one thing or another. you just ride it out and go on with your life, but the fact that she said that to my face, and she told the girl made my drinks that I changed my mind is ridiculous. Nothing against this place at all, but I am going to call out Mayra, from that moment I can tell what type of person she is. A lazy person who probably makes excuses for everything. Someone whose head is up in the clouds 24/7 and people have to pick up her slack. I'm sorry that the people in this store probably have to deal with her attitude that I assume she always tries to be correct about things. If I was in management, this would be an employee whose hours I would cut to the max in order for them to realize that I wouldn't want them there. Keep staying headstrong Constitution. The employees here like to talk about who's canceling their shift on some day rather than calling out my order. Been waiting for 10 min and they didn't even bother to call it out especially when the cashier ask for a name to be called. These high school kids should be doing their job instead of gossiping. Their voices echoes throughout the whole store. Can Starbucks bring back adults to work in a professional business rather than hiring these kids. They should be in school to know better. Also stop hiring these kids just because they know a family member who is looking for work, it's a blindside discrimination for actual adults who wants to work there. Just saying. read more

Pretty dull location for this one. Older Lady up front doesn't seem to care about her job so much. Kind of shocking when you'll usually see a younger crowd working with a better attitude than her. I like it here. I should probably come study here more often. It's in the good town of Salinas, very close to the crib I'm staying at for the time being. We snuck out for a coffee break during downtime today. Came here with my colleague and superiors. It's always nice when they treat you out right? Left this location an hour ago and had walked out with a pre-brewed light roast coffee. Unfortunately they forgot to use coffee grinds and it tasted like hot water with half and half added. I usually try to get a pour over done but today, thanks to time restrictions, and the fact they had some brewed, I went with the already brewed coffee. If you're going to get coffee here, just get the pour over. It's the only way it'll be any good. I also had a previous encounter here where I asked for a pour over, but the one male on duty looked at me as if I'd broken the law, and then he had to say to his co-workers "Can we do a pour over? I don't think we can do that." Then one of the other baristas told him "We can do it." Then this guys set to make my coffee and it tasted good once he finished. I'm thinking I'm going somewhere else next time. read more

Im a bit disappointed with this location, Today I went and ordered a dragon drink. The wait was over 20 minutes and my drink was made incorrectly. My coffee always comes out great! Sometimes they add a little bit of ice or too much ice, never in the middle. The cashier takes awhile to make the pastries warm even though the drinks have been sitting out for awhile, but I think it's only because they are helping take orders at the register. Good morning, this morning I've decided to write a mini review on the Starbucks on Constitution Boulevard. Typically this Starbucks has a great crew an amazing crew, this morning I walked in to a completely different crew. I was not impressed. I have the Starbucks mobile app just like many of you, I ordered my coffee before I left my house, I live less than five minute from the restaurant. when I got to the restaurant my coffee was not ready, I ordered a simple pikes Place coffee. I waited 11 minutes for my coffee to be ready, that's not including the five minutes that it took me to get to my location,the Starbucks on Constitution. Now, when we add all that time up thats 16 minutes for a coffee, but all they have to do is pour. Now the barista that was working the bar was kind, friendly, somewhat, but in a sarcastic way she would roll her eyes, when the customer that had been waiting for there coffee would ask for the order. I also watched them pour my coffee prep it and get it ready and then set it aside for the barista who's already having a bad morning let it sit for another 2 minutes. WOW!!! This is my FAVORITE Starbucks. I live In Monterey, used to live in Marina and work in Salinas, so it is safe to say I have been to every Starbucks on the Peninsula. Let's be honest...I make Starbucks brand coffee at home every morning, yet I still make a stop here most days. The staff is just SO DARN FRIENDLY!! I love them all, as well as some of the regular customers who always have a smile and a warm greeting to offer. I feel like everyone knows me there( most likely an indication that I go too often) & I think they are all super amazing! Plus a few of the girls, namely Barbara will listen to me go on & on about Doctor Who and Harry Potter, so I especially love them for that. This is the starbucks I go to if I have to I went once before I started a very early trip to LA, and the did not have there doors open yet even though I had checked, and they should have been open at that time. A second visit had me waiting by the register since all the employees where huddled by the takeout window talking I finally asked if I could order something one of the girls came over and took my order (apology for my wait and there rudeness would have been nice), and I got my 3.00 cup of ok coffee . 3rd visit and hopefully the last ordered a coffee and the girl at the register gave them the wrong cup size. I spent about 5 minutes trying to get there attention to correct the mistake finally one of them came over, and I told her I paid for a larger size I had my receipt, however, she just removed the cup from my reach made me a new one...as usual this location never offers an apology. read more

I frequent this location when visiting my family who live in the area. I love this location. First of all, I'm from the Midwest and its cold so I always love sitting outside enjoying the beautiful November weather. For you Californians that think it's cold - come to Chicago in November. Now, that's cold. Anyway, this location is warm and inviting. The employees are super friendly and the drinks I have ordered have always been made correctly. Also, look up when you are ordering. The architecture on the ceiling looks pretty cool. The only downside with this location is that it is somewhat small so can get a little crowded at times. read more

I never leave reviews but this Starbucks has some horrible people working. I went in during my lunch break and I stood in line for 15 minutes, I stepped a couple steps toward the worker to ask if they were gonna take my order anytime soon because I had to get back to work. She then says "why'd you move?" As the other girl was taking the order of the person behind me. I replied "I just stepped aside to ask you since I've been here for well over 10 minutes" and again she said "well why'd you move?" As she LAUGHED. It was real hard not to reach over the counter. She had a real nasty attitude that made me disgusted with the place as a whole. I work with lots of people and understand sometimes it can get busy, the response is what was extremely wrong. If she would've said in a respectful manner they were finishing up some drinks and they can take my order now, that would've been different Train your employees on some better customer service. This Starbucks is just like any other Starbucks, not that that's necessarily bad or anything but it just doesn't stand out. The drinks aren't too bad but they aren't the best either, overall this spot is just average. I'd give it that last star if the drinks were blended out a bit more and the snacks cabinet on the side looked a bit cleaner. read more

Ordered my coffee at 7:30am went to pick it up 15 min. later it still wasn't ready asked the girl who was making the coffee "can you please check on my order"gave her my name and she said "I'll check right now" 10 min later I asked another employee and my order somehow got lost. 1/2 an hour later got my coffee not acceptable. This is my ONLY Starbucks destination, which is saying so much seeing as there is another across the street in the Safeway and seemingly more and more on every corner. Ok ok, I go across to the Safeway one sometimes but only if the line is out the door, and it feels wrong every time! I come here (I feel like this is a 'meeting' confession?) upwards of 2-4 times daily, certainly at least once a day. The baristas are all amazing, and the manager Kimber keeps an incredibly clean and organized establishment. I have Celiac's, and as any gluten-intolerant person soon discovers- Starbucks is like the black hole of gluten safety. Everyone asks, no-one knows. So ordering after my diagnosis was a bit scary, but they have let me look over the back of possibly every syrup bottle in that establishment, and help to guide me the best they can. I stick to a skinny vanilla latte, or sometimes with skinny caramel syrup. With my obvious addiction problem, I feel I can be a great gauge to this place's service on a consistency basis- they are always friendly, drinks are always delicious and spot on, almost always VERY fast, and they recognize all of their regulars! Almost daily I see them greet 1-2 other people by first name basis. Love this Starbucks! See you in about an hour! xx read more

I've seen the positive reviews in years gone by. Unfortunately, the latest not so positive reviews are true. I'm not sure who the franchise owner is. But he must not care about customer service. He or she should reply back to the unhappy comments and apologize to them. Possibly rectify some of the complaints. I always believe how a business is ran like how the owners are. This is a chill little Starbucks. It seems pretty busy all the time. There are always tons of cops on their breaks (I hope) here. It's clean and the workers are fast so the wait is never long. BTW, try the Salted Caramel Frap and Latte while it's still available. read more

Im a fan of Starbucks, I know their coffee and other beverages are overly priced; however, this location is just unbelievably packed. It's as if it's the only location in town. I can't say the sevice is slow because it's not. But with all the drinks they have to make, adding more staff would not be a bad thing.
