I've been coming to this Starbucks for years and have generally had good experiences with the service, so this was pretty disappointing. I understand Starbucks has had a customer-only policy in place for over a year, but this was the first time I've ever had it enforced like this. I had literally just purchased Starbucks coffee from another location and still had the Starbucks cup with me, but was told I couldn't sit here or even get water without making another purchase at this specific store. Apparently buying from another Starbucks doesn't count. I understand having policies to prevent people from abusing the space, but requiring a longtime customer who already bought Starbucks that day to purchase something again just to sit down feels excessive. There should be some reasonable discretion here. Good service from this location historically, but this policy and the way it's applied really hurts the experience. read more

The black tea continues to be weak and the last few times i've gotten it, it tastes like it came out of a fish tank, I don't know if it's dirty, or if the ice machine has mildew in it, but the tea is not strong enough to mask thru. There was only one car in front of me. When I pulled up into the driveway. The weight was longer than this shit have, and I reached the window. It was charged giving us straw and then told that I still needed to wait crazy when I took a peek inside the drive-through window, I could clearly see all of the Starbucks, but this just cackling like a pack of hyenas. Customer service is so bad. Only one in line and 3 baristas which included who I assume was manager (Black woman with red hair), just standing there pretending to do something. Even one of them glanced at me twice with no intention of helping. Not hard to volunteer to take an order. Sass from the manager when I asked to apply a coupon from app about free cold foam added and she said you can't do that so I simply proceeded to ask why if on details on the app it says just to let your barista know and she said "that's for other stores" in a sassy way including hand gestures that didn't help her sassy case. I ordered a Venti Carmel Macchiato , no foam extra Hot, up side down, extra Carmel drizzle and whip on side - pub cup at the Starbucks 4365 University Pkwy. San Bernardino. When my drink was presented the cup looked dirty, I asked they make me another, she stuck my coffee inside another cup and gave it back. The cup wasn't even warm, so I asked was my drink extra hot? She said it was and that what she put in. I buy this coffee every day, so I know when it extra hot or not. So I got a dirty cup and lukewarm coffee. As you know Starbucks ain't cheap. The line is always long which is a given, it's near CSUSB, off the freeway and close to residential areas. But my food and drinks have always been delicious. Unfortunately, the location on CSUSB IS HORRIBLE. No shots, no white mocha were added to my drink, maybe 2 pumps of Chai... or their Chai is old and has lost its spice... other wise dirty water and charged me $8. Worst starbucks ever. I've been coming here for 7 years and I deeply regret it every time. I usually avoid it by driving all the way to rialto for starbucks instead. Every time without fail when I order my latte as a triple with sweet cream, they change it to a vanilla latte or shaken espresso which is MORE EXPENSIVE. The other day the lady taking my order put everything down as I ordered it Iced triple grande $3.45 Extra sweet cream +1.25 3 vanilla and 1 sugar cookie +0.80 Shaken That's $5.50 After putting it in she changed it to a grande shaken espresso with sweet cream which turned out to be $6.70. When i told her it was more expensive that way she actually stated "i believe it's cheaper this way" I am so tired of spending nearly $7 on a drink that tastes like i just wasted time. Do you not understand that people spend outrageous amounts money on coffee as it is? Spend the time to make it good. You are baristas and you are making starbucks look very bad. Im sure every one of you employees has been mad when spending money you WORKED FOR on a crappy service. Think about that next time you try to tell me how to do basic math then make my drink with bare minimum effort. Every single time without fail my drink is over priced and terribly crafted. The fact that it's been consistently happening for years leads me to believe it's bad management, poor training, and business oriented rather than customer oriented. I have never experienced another starbucks as poor quality and penny pinching as this one. I go to starbucks every single day and the once in a blue moon times I go to this one I am always disappointed. My suggestion for you starbucks, as someone experienced in leadership and a mad customer, is to make your standards of training higher and focus more on the customers rather than saving a couple bucks.
