This Starbucks isn't my normal location, but I realized it's a lot smaller then some locations. I'm loving the new decor and the lounge environment. The other thing I noticed was that they seemed understaffed. I only saw around 2 or 3 people working and they were really chatty with one another. I ordered ahead and sat waiting for a while. I actually got a notification on my phone that it was ready and I could see my blended drink sitting and the staff were still chatting. I ended up having to go to the counter to ask if it was ready and it kept sitting for a long, long time. It seemed like one of the workers was distracted perhaps. It's ok, I know they're working hard, but it seemed like there may have been opportunities to be more efficient. read more

Staff: The team here was really nice. Unfortunately, I didn't get their names. They were very patient and friendly when I was trying to get my order correct. Quality: This is a nice location that is a decent size, clean, has a few spots to sit outside, and made one darn good Carmel Ribbon Crunch. This place has always been busy - like for decades. They used to be across the street - but they have their own building - complete with a drive-thru. This is my 'Go To' Starbucks off of the 101 because it has a large parking lot, indoor, & outdoor seating. I've never had any issues with the staff - the drive-thru is hectic but at least they keep the lines inside moving. Today was no different - everyone here is hustling hard to fill orders. read more

This is for recipt order # 735603. Nicest Barista I have encountered. I noticed there were other coffee shops and almost went elsewhere but I'm glad I stopped by this Starbucks. I asked if the berry matcha had berry foam or just berry in the drink. I was told it was foam. So I instead asked for regular matcha with oatmilk. The barista then asked if I didn't want the cold foam because of the dairy. I said yes. I'm always shy about expressing that I can't digest dairy and making my drink too complicated. The barista told me they could make the coldfoam non dairy and made me feel comfortable about ordering it. I immediately changed my order. He even welcomed I come back for non dairy foam if any other location gave me a hard time. I pass by this Starbucks on my way to LA so I'll definitely be making this stop. I appreciate the kindness. The worst Starbucks ever. Try an online order for a regular coffee when you're in a rush. For most Starbucks you'll zip right in (or they'll bring it out to your car) and pick your coffee up off the shelf, made perfectly to order, but at this one you'll stand there and wait 20 minutes AFTER 20 minutes of driving. Then they'll look at you like you're a Karen for asking if your coffee is in the works. Place is not worth it. Go to any other location. read more

Every time I come in, this place is always busy. (Don't come in if you have no patience) The dude working the bar, Angel, is always running back and forth making sure everyone has the correct drinks and makes the effort to organize the finished drinks in a manner that would make it easy for the guests to grao (putting the same orders together etc. it's a small gesture but many places don't do this). My point is that I can tell he's a hard worker! Appreciate all you do every time I come in Angel One thing I would say is that y'all do get SUPER busy, in my opinion I would say they're understaffed/ unprepared for the rush. Please don't overwork your employees, they keep your business running. read more

Took 40+ minutes for a mobile order that quoted us 10-15. Continued to take orders at the counter and mobile knowing they were 30+ minutes behind. I understand being backed up but at 10:30 it isn't your busiest hour and you certainly have the ability to turn off mobile ordering, not sure if management wasn't present or if it was all just brand new staff... something wasn't right though. *if you can't handle mobile orders TURN THEM OFF* read more

Just got into town for my friends wedding and decided to get her a treat to ease her mind and this is within walking distance! Staff scolded me for reaching in to get my pick up order- not embarrassing at all I understand that we're not supposed to reach and grab our drinks but maybe acknowledge us and say, we'll be right with you! And you won't have to scold the customer. Or put up a sign! That will help a lot and not humiliate the few who just want to grab and go read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I pre order my drink on the mobile app and I got there 2 mins before the estimated pick up time I ask them do you have an order for me and they said It was coming up they saw me standing there and they couldn't even work on that order and honestly one of the girls there her name is Britney she was just chatting with another customer while my drink was sitting there. Let alone the customer Britney was talking to got there after me, order at the register and still got her drink before me. Now I got my drink 5 mins past my estimated time of pick up. Amazing!!!!! My bf and I are coffee lovers and we're very particular about what's in our coffee. So we visited this Starbucks in hopes of finding a low fat low sugar Mocha Latte, and Katie was great help to us! She recommended we ask for half non fat milk and half 2% milk to create 1% milk!!!! The 1% milk complemented my usual the blonde espresso mocha latte so much!! We're obsessed!! Not only did our latte taste amazing, it also made me feel great knowing why my coffee taste so great!! This place is the worst Starbucks location i have ever visited. The floor was dirty with pieces of paper throughout the indoor seating location. There were employees working at the time 11:00am. There was a line which is normal for a Starbucks which I'm ok with. When I get to place my order i pay and my name is not asked for my order. I ask the cashier Ellie if she needs my name for the order and she says no, that she will call it out by the the type of order. So i wait and i start to hear them calling out different names for various orders, and a mixture of only the type of drinks that is being served. (so you don't need my name but clearly names are being used?). The area where the drinks are picked up is a mess to say the least. For the orders that have no names various people have to walk up and touch multiple drinks and read what it says to make sure it's their order. Might i add this is during COVID! Some people even reach and grab a drink and take it and bring it back. All the mean while the employees are chitchatting and not paying attention to what is going on. I finally get my order which is called out by type of drink which is a Brown Sugar Oatmilk w/ 1 extra shot. (which i have ordered multiple times at other locations). I taste it and it has no brown sugar. Doesn't even taste how it supposed to. At this point i have waited and seen what type of poor quality service this location provides and i decide to leave it at that and write this review. This is hands down not what Starbucks represents, it is very sad that customer service has gone down. read more

I sometimes stop by and there really nice however today they launched new cold cups and i called the day before (1/4) and they told me they had the items but where putting them out the next day which is 1/5 i was the first customer right at 6am to find out they had them on "reserve" i asked the girl how can that be thats not cool people actually go out of there ways to find these items. And she confirmed she had them in stock but had them reserved for people i was upset because i waited over 30 mins outside not cool. I'll definitely be contacting Corporate. read more

I ordered a trenta strawberry açaí lemonade with no ice and when they called my name all i saw was a half empty cup, and i told them something and they told me that because i didn't order ice i don't get the full drink, i go to starbucks 3-4 times a week and get the same order and they ALWAYS fill it and i decided to go to new one and this happens to me i did not pay 5 dollars for a half ways filled drink. read more

This is the fist time I've ever felt disrespected when placing an order at Starbucks. Besides the fact I had to repeat and scream my order the cashier slammed the drawer closed as I said I have correct change and even refused to give me a paper dollar even after other customers made purchase. Another employee had noticed the confrontation over a exchanging coins for paper currency and politely took my change and exchanged it for a dollar from the tip jar as the look at her devilishly. I always mobile order and the drinks are always waiting for me when I get there. This, in opinion, is the better Sbux in the area, as the alternative is always packed with tourists and has no good parking. Also, this one is open later. I can't find fault with that. read more

Having an employee scream at you if you don't like how he is getting the orders out then I could leave is the worst kind of customer service a store can have. girl was very rude who made our drinks. we asked for an extra cup with ice because she barely put any in one of our drinks. and she then said "it's not like i can say no right?" who says that ? that was very unprofessional and i don't appreciate the attitude. i came in on saturday september 15th 2018 at 6pm. i won't be back and they lost my business we spent 20 bucks on all our drinks too we came in as a group. so hopefully you guys get better training on proper ways to be nice to your customers read more

I briefly used the restroom after placing the order, and when I returned around the estimated pickup time, the store was otherwise empty except for two employees, a bearded, taller male behind the counter, and a female. Instead of preparing our order, one employee was ringing up what appeared to be a purchase for the other employee. They had a lengthy conversation while our order remained unfinished. While waiting, I walked to the handoff area and saw that the espresso shots for our drinks had already been pulled, but both cups were still incomplete. By that point, our order was already several minutes past the promised pickup time. After the employee finished the transaction, he returned to our drinks. I politely asked if he could remake the espresso because it had been sitting for over ten minutes. Rather than responding professionally, he appeared upset by the request. The issue wasn't simply the delay. We felt ignored while employees prioritized an internal transaction over paying customers, despite there being no other customers waiting. The drinks were not prepared to an acceptable standard, and the interaction left us uncomfortable enough that we did not feel confident drinking them for fear of our drinks being tampered with by that irate barista.

My orders are ready quickly no matter when I place them using the mobile app. The inside of the store has numerous seating spaces. There are some tables outside one can also congregate with fellow gym goers and Pilates devotee. My problem with this store location is the actual drink quality itself. My drinks are either so overfilled to the point that once I stick the straw in, it turns into a fountain. One of the times that happened, the employees completely ignored me and kept talking about which line they really should be filling in the drinks to. No offers of napkins or anything to help clean up. Other times this happened, I ended up with a lid that busted open while en route to my car because the liquid got under the lid and the cup itself. That was a different kind of unnecessary mess. And it was entirely avoidable if the drink itself wasn't overfilled. The cups actually has a max fill line etched into it believe it or not. So if you fill in more or less past certain lines on the cups of anything, such as ice, milk, etc, the drinks won't taste right and/or it will create a mess. But the worst part? An unhappy customer with a coffee stained white linen pants and shirt. And that was me a few days ago. Anyway, the other half a dozen times I have ordered, the opposite happened as you can see in the picture. The drinks are nowhere near filled to the top fill line and the syrup never mixed all the way. So this causes the first 3-4 sips with intense flavors of the syrup and the rest of the drink as bland unflavored milk. So, as much as I appreciate the speed of order fulfillment and spacious interior seating inside and outside, I prefer to get my drinks elsewhere. And yes, that includes the god forsaken Starbucks down the street that's not any better drinks or service wise.

I declined, seeing as that I knew how to origami a cup out of a piece of paper already. After this I went back to waiting, and during this, the customer that tried to strike up conversation with me said to his companion "he's faking it". The drink was prepared shortly afterwards, so I collected it and left to get away from him and not have to engage in further verbal interaction with anyone. As a result of this experience I have decided to avoid physically entering this branch and I will only use the drive thru when possible, as I do not want to encounter randos that force interaction on me or have to ask for something that is not available on the app and is not on the menu as a dictated upgrade. I would not recommend this location--or anywhere in Lake Forest for that matter-- for anyone introverted or with mutism from social anxiety, since randos talking to me for no good reason occurs too frequently in this area. I never get interacted with randomly in the Coffee Bean branch in Irvine and I would prefer an identical experience here.
