For the first time in my life Starbucks has denied me a cup of water. WATER! I got in line, waited for my turn and asked for a cup of water. The 3 workers on duty today (Sep-6-2025) were whispering right in front of me as if I couldn't hear them, until when one of them "acting" as the manager asked me if I bought something, to which I said no. So then she replied that she would not give me water because I did not buy anything. Wow! Way to go Starbucks! I had no idea that a multimillion dollar company could go bankrupt for giving a cup of tap water to a loyal customer. Well, I know that I will never buy coffee from that location again. Thank God the Haagen Dazs right next door gave me water with no discrimination. read more

I have been coming to this location for over 2 years. Most of the staff here are absolutely wonderful and execute their job Perfectly! Unfortunately, this week I feel I have been discriminated against and the experience I went through the other day with this location was horrific! I have been ordering the same drink for two years. It cost me nearly $12 every day just for this one drink. I am very particular about this drink and I order it in the afternoons. The barista's here are lovely and even make an accommodation or two for me and I am grateful. However Patrick is rude and demeaning. I went in this week and when I mentioned "oh could I have just a splash of iced coffee on top" he said in a degrading tone that "they can't do that". He did mention he would "accommodate me that day but not moving forward". Accommodate me?, are you kidding? At almost $12 per drink and ordering this 280 times a year you do the math. How are you going to charge someone for less than 2 ounces of iced coffee poured over their drink? What is he going to do charge me an additional $4 to pay for a small iced coffee? I think not. And remember the entire time he was speaking to me in his demeaning tone he did not look at me one time and I informed him that if that was an accommodation, and he was not going to be doing that moving forward, he really should not have been putting my Americano in a Trenta cup (This is how I have to ask for it once it is ordered. It can not be ordered this way). Then he tried to clap back at me and I said look if you tell me that you won't be putting it in a Trenta cup any longer I will stop coming here. He said me "well with statements like that" Regardless, I feel as though because I am gay I was being targeted, and that he may be homophobic and that he feels he can speak to me anyway that he wants to. The hidden Starbucks There is a Starbucks inside the University Town Center (UTC) mall, but did you know there is another one inside Macy's? If you didn't then this is the 'hidden Starbucks'. Hiding in plain sight, just walk through Macy's on the first floor from the mall entrance to the back of the store (north end) and there it is in all its glory. Next time you are at UTC and crave a Starbucks but the one in the mall is too crowded, remember the hidden one. I checked out this Macy's Starbucks this morning. It is in its own glass room with an exterior door so the hours may be different than Macy's. Even 'hidden' there were a couple of customers in line when I arrived. One customer had questions and the order taker easily rattled off options, so points for being knowledgeable. Even before it was my turn at the register someone else was asking me what I wanted, which helped speed things up, more points. I selected their S'mores Frappuccino, an impressive looking drink when I received it a few minutes later. They have seating so I sat, and I enjoyed my sweet cold drink. The staff was very nice, referring to me by name once they had it and making small talk. For the cost, this is the level of service I've come to expect, and they did just fine. read more

This place gets my drink wrong 4 out of 5 times that I order it. I'm not sure why, but instead of adding the flavors I ask for, almost every time they just put 1 pump in and then the rest is milk, and then they serve it to you. To get rid of you. I finally took the hint and started going to the one on Honore. They are awesome there. read more
