Unless your life depends on it, DO. NOT. COME. TO. THIS. STARBUCKS!
    Kvothe R.

My life has been SUPER stressful and chaotic lately that I cannot even for the life of me begin to recall as to *why* I was in Scotts Valley, CA one early and chilly Wednesday morning...more than likely I had been up all night the day before and felt very sleep deprived as a result from all this Family Law "B.S." with my "ex" with which/whom I have to deal now...I figured I needed a simple and small black coffee with room for cream would be the best way to get my day off with some good ole' release of dopamine. OH. MY. GAWD. How hard is to to boil/serve straight up coffee?! There were at least a dozen patrons and 9 of them *had* their food and beverage(s) already prior to my arrival. There was one person in front of me who had a short order. My drink order (at least to me) seemed simple enough that it should not have taken hardly any time at all to make. I had an appointment at 8:00 a.m. back over Hwy 17, and here I am, sitting, having already placed my order at or around 7:15 a.m. PST... 10...then 15...then 20 minutes go by...STILL NO BLACK COFFEE!!! I politely asked the barista who had just finished making the woman's (who was in front of me at the time we were placing our orders) drinks about mine and she straight up said, looking me dead in the eye, "Oh, my shift's over now." The audacity!

    Clock tower on a Starbucks!

I hardly ever find a Starbucks that I have to review this low but the barista was very snippy about a bakery product I eat almost every day at my "home" Starbucks. It is a great product when handled as directed by Starbucks supplier. Though I disagreed with his serving comments his response was off-putting. He must have realized my disappointment because midway through the visit, he replaced the product with an apology. Only a partial save though as Starbucks baristas are usually quite well trained in customer service and this never would have happened in any of my very busy local stores. The store is quite cute with a clock tower in top and very roomy inside with some nice shady outside tables on a hot day. Maybe just a slow day but enough square footage any of our local managers would be jealous of. My drink was fine.

First time here, close driving distance to and away from the beach. Big location and a friendly service! Plenty of tables and chairs to find a spot to nestle in! Super clean and modern. Great coffee served here, thanks !

    So stinking cute!

This store has an incredibly sweet staff. They are always super friendly and accommodating. I love coming here, especially because my drink always tastes amazing! I came in about five minutes until closing and apologized because I felt like a crummy last-minute customer, and they laughed and said no worries at all. Thanks!

Loved the Christmas decorations- too bad the service sucked. :-/

Rude barista. Lukewarm coffee. Really not much more to say than that... I would definitely avoid this place.

Heart shaped drizzle!!!! I messed it up :)

Came in during a a little rush hour. Raven, a barista, immediately greeted and welcomed me in. I was blown away by her amazing personality and care. They were also extremely friendly to every single customer that they interacted with, giving compliments and asking how their days were going. It's nice to see high quality customer service again (UGH Covid is rough on both workers and customers) , and Raven is the PERFECT EXAMPLE for fantastic customer service. My iced coconut milk caramel macchiato was prepared to perfection and it even had a heart shaped caramel drizzle on top !!!! Because of Raven, I will definitely be coming back to this location --Juniper

Awesome drinks from an equally awesome coffee shop!

As we got off the freeway, she looked up and there was a coffee shop right down the street. He stopped in here for a quick bite. The two barista is helping us were incredibly helpful and patient since we had to read everything on the menu. I also loved how their store was set up and they sold local arts and crafts from the community! I love the community aspect here in Santa Cruz County! Perhaps she misread the menu, but she thought "egg stacker" was a sandwich because it was under the "bagel sandwich "category. But under the description, it does not say there's any bread. Lol, which is better for us since we're trying to be gluten-free for the day. I had an ice green tea and a salmon egg which was delicious and filling perfectly made egg with the right amount of capers and seasoning for each bite to have enough flavor on it. The green tea was perfect since it was 92°! I can't wait till we get to the beach! I was sad. They didn't have any nitro coffee, but I will definitely come back to try more pastries since it seems like they were out but then again we got there about 30 minutes before they closed. Lol.

They also have whipped cream which I enjoy when I wanna have a little cheap day and they had such cute art and tables to sit at to enjoy your drinks or pastries. I love a place that makes seasonal drinks and that are friendly and happy to serve you. They have a lot of options for things to buy whether it's dessert or a breakfast pastry. The location is super random. It's like on the side of like a bus stop area, but the coffee is so good and I can't wait till I'm in the area again to order more and actually sit and enjoy it when I don't have to rush to a meeting. Everyone was super nice and friendly and had a great morning vibes.

I was looking for something heavier than a pastry and found out they had breakfast sandwiches and their own bagels! Score!! To my surprise, they also had specialty drinks so I had to get the Blondie latte with a plant-based milk. I asked the lady if it was sweet and she said it came with a tablespoon of brown sugar. But they could switch it and make it a teaspoon instead. Perfect! As I got my latte it was amazing!! The espresso used in the latte was actually a mild roast coffee so I really liked the flavor of it roast and it was Organic!! Win-win!! Since I'm trying to avoid dairy at the moment, I asked if I could get the lox bagel sandwich without cream cheese and replace it with avocado. The lady at the register asked another barista behind her and she said it was fine! Perfect!! You also get to pick out what type of bagel you want, so I wanted to try something different and got the sun-dried tomato and basil or something like that! The sweet flavors of the herbs in the bagel and then the juiciness of the tomato baked into the bread once simply wonderfully with my breakfast sandwich!! There's a cute little waiting area inside with at least 10 tables or seats along the breakfast bar counter and a couple of tables. There's also a very large outdoor seating area, but I was cold so I wanted to sit inside to warm up my body since I was going to go to yoga on the beach. I had only planned on eating half the bagel sandwich but honestly, it was so good when it came out. I sat there for a good 20 minutes until I ate the whole thing!! Lol so funny!! I was so stuffed I had to walk an extra mile before I could start my yoga on the beach! As I sat enjoying my breakfast sandwich, I got to overhear the two barista's talk about music!! One of the baristas allowed her device to search new genres of music while the other barista specifically looked up different genres of music she liked and then would tell her device to find music of that era. So interesting to hear their discussion!! I honestly loved everything about this quaint little coffee shop, and I will definitely be back again and again!!
