The annual review of my neighborhood Starbucks. I noticed they hired a lot of new employees. Most of them are friendly and my drinks are always made on time (makes it much easier with the mobile app). Now that fall drinks are here, I'm a huge PSL and pumpkin chai fan. Parking still isn't great here. A lot of cars rush in and out of the lots so it becomes a bit dangerous. There's also a bunch of pedestrians that just go in and out and cross without looking. Otherwise, it gets busy inside the cafe. Very limited seating with outlets. read more

This location is in a very busy shopping center. People can't drive in this lot and have zero patience! Yikes! I was nearby so I ordered via the mobile app. My drink was ready when I arrived. I walked in, nobody greeted me or said anything. Oh well! This location looks a bit outdated. I'm sure they could use some renovations! My drink was just ok. Definitely won't be going out of my way to return here! read more

I placed order at 10:23am on July 30...latte and egg bites. The young man who handled my order (Hunter) seems to be new...so he probably needs a bit of help. I don't want to get him in trouble, but he has a few habits that need to be addressed: First, he wiped his drippy nose with his fingers and then starting making my food. He didn't use a tissue and he didn't wash his hands! He also wiped sweat off his face with his bare hand while preparing food. Then he wiped crumbs off of the prep counter by the ovens...still with the bare hands that he used to wipe a drippy nose and a sweaty face. Please ask him to use gloves...or at least use a tissue and then wash his hands before he touches people's food. This was just NASTY. read more

I am not going to talk much about the taste of food as we have known Starbucks is the largest commercial franchise coffee shop, so they always have their standard. But the most thing I like from this Starbucks, not only close to my home, it is about the atmosphere. I believe their drinks and foods aren't the best in the town but people come here because the ambient that make them feel cozy and relax. This location has an average size dining room and patio outdoor seats available even though it is crowded time, still feel comfortable. They also like to organize the special events for socialize and meeting frequently, that's very interesting. As for the staffs, they made orders mistake sometimes (incorrect items, taste too sweet, too bland etc.) but it isn't a big deal because they always are nice and enjoying making coffee for you. Service is quite fast, I usually order online ahead, and most of the time, when I get there. it's ready for pickup. This Starbucks is located at Plaza del Del Mercado, Silver Spring MD. There is huge free parking lots. So convenient for me to grab some drink and breakfast before going to work. read more

Service is always slow. No matter if curbside or pick-up. Oftentimes they seem to miss orders. Might need more staff.

Customers stand too long in this establishment. Granted they may be hiring for the holidays, but too many new employees at the same time.

Sometimes the only thing that can cure a migraine is some caffeine and a little sugar. The shape of the building misled me into thinking it was a drive-thru. After driving in circles for a bit, I finally snagged a parking space and made my way inside. The barista was very nice and she made a pretty great Frappuccino. She spared me the Starbucks lingo to expedite my order (with a headache like the one I had, I couldn't tell a Grande from the Grand Canyon) and was halfway done with my drink by the time my payment was approved. This store is larger and more spacious than many of the other Starbucks locations I've seen. There's lots of seating, including a small bar at the very end of the register. Cute! read more

Family-friendly local Starbucks! Perfect place for a quick treat, clean atmosphere, and great staff. They host monthly talent events here. Great space for all ages for getting work done. They have outlets everywhere, shared work areas, and individual couples seating or individual spaces. Lovely outdoor area for groups that lights up at night. Spacious and clean. The bathroom requires purchase and a key code. Drinks are made fresh with care. They offer pick up with app. Normally, the crowd is neutral. Come and go all day rush but the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Bring headphones or listen to the playlist from Starbucks. read more

This is my neighborhood Starbucks and it's nice and cozy. It's next door to a McDonald's, a Sunoco, and an LA fitness so parking can be cumbersome. There's a lot of other stores in this strip mall, but I don't use them. I've had various meetings here and it's very quiet and great for work, study, or just a book reading afternoon. I've seen a lot of MoCo cops come in and out so it's definitely safe. The drinks are always good and the staff pretty friendly. read more

I come to this location once or twice a month. I have a good experience every time. Most of my orders are done through the Star Bucks app which cuts down on time. Today I ordered a Grande Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato. As usual it tasted great! The young lady that made beverage had a great attitude as well. For that matter the whole team on-site was very nice. I recently went to this Starbucks . I went the first week of them doing the 50% off the cold drinks. There were three girls working there. I went 25 minutes before them closing. As I go in one of the girls complains out loud as I can't hear and tells her coworker in a bad attitude "Close the doors before more people come ". One of the guys told them if they were going to help us since they were just talking and grabbing the bakery items with their Bare hands not even gloves ! 8/19/19 Update from 2 to 5 stars! The staff was very friendly and my coffee Frappuccino was made exceptionally! I even picked up a salad that was prepared today and it looks very fresh and tasty! My sandwich was ready at least 10 minutes before the Frappuccino... What if I wanted to enjoy them together? Several patrons have ordered at the counter in the store and have received their order BEFORE mine! Where is my Espresso Frappuccino? i used to go to this starbucks a LOT back when i was in high school (4 years ago) I made friends with a lot of the baristas who worked there but when the manager (Charlie i think) got a promotion and relocated, this location became trash. One time I went and they told me that they were out of classic syrup. How can you be out of simple syrup, one of the syrups that you use to make most, if not all of your drinks???? That's a problem with management and inventory. Lately, i've been going before class and I've noticed that they NEVER fill their venti's up to the top. I've peeked at other people's mobile orders while waiting for my drink to be finished and there's usually a fair amount of drink missing. That's frustrating because most people who mobile order are in a rush and when they pick up and see that their drink has been skimped on, they may or may not have time to complain and get it fixed. Quality control is important, they should either remake the drink or make a little more so that all customers get what they paid for (AKA their entire effing drink). read more

They are always so busy in this Del Mercado location but love they are so friendly and get my order done quickly.

I love Starbucks- who doesn't- but I'm a bit ambivalent about this location. I end up going here relatively often because the location is convenient, and because I somehow always forget how incredibly slow this location is. Once, I waited in line for about 10 minutes and I wasn't even close to next, so I did a mobile order on my phone. The drink was ready earlier than I think I would have reached the cash register. My boyfriend and I once waited 15 minutes for two drinks and a food item before, and then they messed up the food item. I would understand if they were slammed, but sometimes they're not really and it just seems like they don't feel like moving quickly. The location doesn't have tons of tables, and if you're there at the wrong time of day, the sun will be in your eyes. If they were faster and the seating/sun situation was better, I'd probably be here way more often. read more

Ordered a non- dairy coffe frap. Why did the blender say daiiry on?? When I asked the barista why it said dairy she said the dairy blender is in the back and the dishwasher. I asked if Dairy drinks were made in the container and she says yeah but I rinse it and most people don't care. Then why have to blenders one saying Dairy one saying non-dairy???? After asking about three times she finally went to the dishwasher in the back to pull out the non-dairy blender. Restaurant is clean. Cashier is ok. Barista ( Faith) has a nasty, unfriendly disposition. Makes it frustrating that this Starbucks is the closest to my house. It's always an issue. Or they are always out of an ingredient but the willingness to accommodate is never there. I wish she were nearly as nice to customers as she is to people she seemingly knew. This is a good Starbucks. Probably one of the best Starbucks layouts ever. Not a "box". Has nooks and crannies. Plenty of tables. And a nice outdoor patio for the warmer weather. After school can be a bad time because it's right across the street from Argyle Middle School and also right by a McDonald's. read more

Now, I've been to a good handful of Starbucks ever since I was enlighten to it, but this location has got to be the slowest one ever. 1. The staff (based on the one's working) seem very unmotivated to work, now, I do understand that people have their bad days, but it is no excuse to look & talk all gloomy. I work in customer service myself, but at least pretend. 2. I came during a slow time (6 pm EST) and there were only a handful of people in line; I was the 4th one in line. After ordering my drink I waited, then a another 5 or so people came I after me. Long story short: everyone that came in after me got their drinks and I was last. Huh? I have to been to starbucks during rush hour (morning mostly) and despite the number of customers, I was served at a prompt time compared to this location with hardly any people. I will try this location at another day/time to see how it is, but if it's the same experience - my review shall remain the same. P.s. This Starbucks is close enough to home to walk there, so I frequent it a lot. The baristas are usually really nice and friendly. I've had drinks made wrong every so often, but I've never had a problem getting a fresh one ASAP. A few days ago I even got my drink for free because barista Tony had accidentally charged me when I intended to use a reward. When he realized he'd erred he refunded my money and didn't even use the reward. That's outstanding customer service! One thing I do wish they'd change is to have a couch or more comfy chairs. I'd be willing to have them give up the outdoor patio (it's not all that nice and it abuts a gas station) for more inside space! read more

I've come to this location many times, usually to get some work done when I want to get out of the house and I have never experienced an issue. However, last night around 8 o'clock, while myself and every other person around me was sitting quietly working on their laptops or reading, a girl walked in who appeared to work there or know the people who work there and next thing we all knew, she had her music blasting through the speakers and started dancing around. The two people who were working didn't appear to be concerned at all and let the raucous behavior continue. Things to know about this Starbucks: - It's located in Plaza Del Mercado. - It opened only a year or two ago, so not a lotta people know about it. - It's never all that busy! - There's always a place to sit - there are plenty of chairs, tables and couches, even a little nook on the side if you want some privacy. - The bathrooms are usually clean. - There's plenty of outdoor seating in the warmer months, and the lights that are put up make for good atmosphere :) - If you get the munchies, there's a Pizza Stop across the parking lot and a McDonald's about 15 steps away. I am a literal Starbucks junkie. I have a problem, I admit it. Chai tea and green tea make me happy. The real problem is how hard it is to get one made the way I like. The iced teas are hardly shaken any more(which means sweet part is at the bottom and cold is at the top) and the chai is often warm milk(even when k get a grande with 7 pumps). But this location is not only polite and quick, they make the drinks right when I come here, unfortunately it is out of the way daily. I love this location though. Keep up the good work! read more

This is a surprisingly fantastic Starbucks. The barista took such care in crafting my beverage you'd have thought it was for the President. The sea of laptops indicate just how great it is for students and freelancers. The only negative? It closes rather early (9pm) so you're out of luck for any late-night caffeine runs! read more

My recent visit was pleasant. The barista at the counter was very kind and patient, which I really appreciated because sometimes I stutter or speak softer than usual because of the mask.
