I stopped by this location in Sugarland for a quick pick me up on a busy Saturday before Christmas. I specifically sought out this location because I wanted a drive thru. I'm typically not a Starbucks guy, but tis the season for giving and I've been getting bombarded with Starbies gift cards. When I do visit a Starbucks, I seek out their seasonal drinks. I do like their holiday items usually and decided on one of their new items. I will say customer service was great. The gal taking the drive thru orders was super friendly and tried her best to get me what I wanted. After letting me know my first few choices were out, I was finally able to get my third choice which was the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte. Even this I had to modify with oat milk because their almond milk was out. This was pretty early in the evening so I found it odd that they were out of so many items. Was what I got tasty? Sure. This location is sporting a new sleek look after renovations. Very nice. Chose a caramel machiatto with oat milk because I like me coffees creamy! It was refreshing, smooth, and had a nice amount of sweetness. Make sure you swirl to get the caramel that drops to the bottom. A worker here POISONED a customer. I am disgusted by the lack of customer service provided by the drive through lady at around 7:30am on June 1, 2025. My boyfriend is allergic to milk and ordered a dairy-free mocha cookie frappe(almond milk, no whip). When he received his order, he was disheartened to see whipped cream in his venti cup. He politely corrected the lady at the window and explained he ordered no whipped cream and almond milk. She took his cup and brought it back soon after with the whipped cream just swiped off and handed it to him with an attitude. He drove off, took a sip, and realized it tasted off(not almond milk). I listened to him on the phone as he hacked and coughed while experiencing an allergic reaction. I was extremely concerned and wanted him to pull over but for obvious reasons he needed to get home to recover. I called the store in hopes to explain this situation to a store manager and received no answer. This situation is beyond dangerous and could have led to anaphylactic shock. Thankfully he only took 1 small sip but the symptoms have been ongoing and the employee responsible should be held accountable. If his sip had been a gulp, this would be a headline not a yelp post. Do your job and deliver the correct order to your customers rather than having an attitude. Pay attention to the corrections. UNACCEPTABLE!!! read more

I'm not often in this area but stopped by on a weekday as I had an event close by. I've been to quite a few Starbucks' in my day and they all have their own differences. This location is situated in a small shopping center but I had no trouble finding parking. This is a decent-sized Starbucks with tables around the perimeter and some comfortable seating in the middle. I'm all about comfortable seating so that's where I sat. The downside to sitting where I sat is that there were no outlets within reach. As a whole, I think Starbucks can do a better job providing outlets. A computer's battery life only lasts so long! I had an interesting visit as this bizarre, old man was sitting next to me. He decided to take his shoes off, then his socks. Once he was barefoot, this is where things got weird. He held one sock in each hand and then began twirling his socks for a good ten minutes. I don't exactly understand what he was trying to accomplish but it was simultaneously funny and frightening. When I think of great coffee, I'm not usually one to choose Starbucks first. Even with their Frappuccino's, they don't usually crush the ice enough to make them smooth based on my past experience. But, I do love the fact that every now and then, they'd have a Groupon deal where you can get $10 worth of drinks for just $5. Plus, since my Groupon was expiring soon, I had to use it up for something. Now, the Groupon deal you usually see online only applies to "freestanding" Starbucks locations - not ones located in grocery stores, like Kroger. They had 2 returning and 1 new Frappuccino flavor: Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino, Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, and the Caffè Espresso Frappuccino. All were made well by the baristas at this Starbucks location. There were no large ice chunks leftover. Flavorwise, all were good beverages. I didn't drink the coffee Frappuccino's, but opted to order the Tazo Chai Frappuccino. This was also equally good in my opinion. The only thing I had a gripe about was the parking. I tried to avoid parking in the doctor's office parking lot next door, like other yelpers have recommended. Instead, we parked in the bank parking lot for only a little while and left ASAP, in case they were going to tow our car. So, try coming during off peak hours if you can. read more

This location is always so dirty! The inside of this Starbucks is filthy no matter what time of day you go in. I have never seen an employee cleaning, even when they are not busy. I think this must be why the drive thru line is always really long, no one wants to go in. I've waited in the unreasonably long lines many times only to drive off, taste my drink and discover it was made incorrectly or with OLD tasting bitter coffee. The gas station has better coffee than this location. There are much better Starbucks locations very close by, don't bother with this one. read more

Out of the Starbucks locations I would find myself go to (including the one across the street next to Kroger's), this one is probably my favorite. I typically avoid the peak times for coffee, that's usually any time between 6-8 in the morning when people go to work and need their Cup(s) of Joe for their commute. The space is not really spacious and it has a long corridor leading to the back where the restrooms are. Most of the time I go in and order the coffee and just head out and rarely stay drinking there. The staff are made of mostly young, enthusiastic cashiers and baristas that are friendly and courteous. As I used the Starbucks App a little more, I can usually order ahead of time and have it ready for me at the Mobile pick up section. Which is good when your drink is the only one sitting there and you can tell it is yours from the name tag. To this I wonder if Starbucks can actually implement a system to scan a QR code as you are picking up your mobile order to complete the pick up. I suppose an honor system is being used here that random people won't just walk in to pick up your "already paid for" drink and just leave. Then again, same thing can certainly happen even if you are in the store and someone makes off with your drink (by accident or on purpose). Another reason I avoid busy times or busy locations. NOW, however, the energy has changed there. The staff are so warm and friendly. They are exceedingly patient and like to bring a personal touch to customer/employee interactions. Order turn around is a lot faster. The interior is cleaner than I remembered previously (I usually drove through) The only complaint I have, and it's a small one, there is some inconsistency with their drink making. I like the salted cold foam cold brew and order that often. Most of the time, it's delicious and perfectly crafted, but sometimes what I am handed is a cup of cold iced coffee with some foam on top. Heading to my son's ortho appointment this morning I had a few minutes to kill so I decided to swing into the Star Bucks on Sweetwater Blvd. this place is busy in the mornings! But what I found nice about this place are the smiles and cheery attitudes in spite of the busyness. This made the experience much more pleasant! Hey...90 % of it is customer service for me. I decided to order a chestnut praline latte...a seasonal selection and surprisingly it was very good! Not too sweet but just right! They have seasoned and experienced baristas here I can tell. Well staffed and efficient I was pretty impressed with this location. Especially for a busy morning with demanding customers. They must have a pretty good reputation because it seemed like there were plenty of regulars. Their drive thru was pretty busy too! The only ding I would give them is it seemed kind of cramped to me but for a Star Bucks I think it's just their standard smaller store. I guess I'm spoiled by places like Minuti Coffee where you feel like you can spread your wings. This is my favorite Starbucks I've ever been to and the one I visit the most for many reasons. If I'm spending $5 for a cup of coffee I want good customer service and a great drink, they deliver that every time. They never get my order wrong, they're always evolving and changing so their styles of customer service aren't boring and the workers seem to be really engaged and happy working there. I like that they remember me by name and even with the lines getting super long they still get drinks and even food out pretty fast. I'll gladly wait in line or go out of my way for this location and often do because they're getting it right. This is probably one of the better locations of Starbucks in the Sugar Land area. I'm not the biggest fan of SB, but I appreciate this location in regards to their convenience and service. This is the only location in Sugar Land that has a drive thru; and boy is that convenient or what. It makes zipping in and out rather quick and speedy. Their service is just as fast and friendly. They made me a cafe misto today, which is probably my favorite beverage at SB, when done right. They made it tall, warm and frothy, just perfect. It was steamed well and scented with just a bit of vanilla syrup. I realized I needed just a bit more syrup so they handed me an extra cup; how sweet is that? The workers here are friendly and deserve good tips. This location is nostalgic for me; all things quaint and cosy area within the burbs'. It's been a part of the neighborhood forever. There are schools and neighborhoods nearby that I am quite familiar with. If anyone knows me well enough, a warm good cup of coffee makes my day. Thankfully this location always pulls through and does just that. I'll visit from time to time as I prefer to support local businesses over big companies when given the chance. Hi my name is M and I'm a Starbucks addict. But I'm giving this location one star because i have a consistent problem here. Yes, i keep going because it's literally 45 seconds from my place of employment. I order my coffee in such a way that i get upcharged, a lot. It isn't a difficult order by any means tho. Just an extra shot and some alternative milk....but it makes my Tall size drink about five dollars. And i consistently get my drinks with at least an inch below the top. No other location within a 15 mi radius does this. If I'm paying that much, I'd like to get the entire drink. Not 75% of it. And if i ask about it, i have always, 100% of the time, no matter how sweetly i ask, get major attitude from the barista who made it, with an argument that it's MEANT to be half empty, cus, duh, foam.
