Absolutely the food is great. The customer service is great ambience well it's a coffee shop. You get what you get but I really like this location that people are really nice. I was able to ask for suggestions for a drink. Got a great drink quick friendly customer service nice little location to sit outside in West Seattle. It's in a lake strip mall so you know there is lots of parking but it's always busy but I was able to get in and out, so yeah, I'd say definitely. read more

I called in to customize my 1 drink I ordered and they responded, "honestly this is the busiest time of the day." If they did not restrict DoorDash to not allow special instructions and instead put a note to state to contact the store directly for special instructions, I would not have had to call. The customer service in this store is horrible. I was told by another starbucks to go to any starbucks near my home and get my drink made correctly. I live in Tacoma very near this store. They said no receipt no replacement. I explained that my boss paid for our drinks and I don't have his credit card receipt to give them. Instead of satisfying the customer you sent the customer away very disatisfied. My boss didn't have to come to starbucks and spend nearly $100.00 on coffee but he did and you should have made our drinks correctly. I almost never go to Starbucks but I got a gift card for Christmas. And even though it was a gift I still feel ripped off. Only one shot on a tall drink?! Really?! Pretty chincy move Starbucks. I'm always pleasantly pleased by this Starbucks. I've been here when they first open @ 430 am to when they're closing @ 9pm. No matter what time of day I go, I'm always treated so kindly. Whenever I'm confused on what to get because I don't want to get the same boring thing over and over again, they always make such awesome suggestions and even make the drink better! They always make changes to my drink which is great. I'm also a non milk drinker so I usually get soy or almond milk, and it's never burnt which is so relieving because lots of places will burn milk alternatives some how??? They're all so kind and generous. Love this walk up/drive thru line. I will say though it is always very busy in the morning, lunch and in the evening so it's best to avoid those times if possible. read more

This is a terrible location with untrained baristas, they boil a pot of roasted coffee and they are only trained to add syrups this place makes horrible coffe every coffee on that menu is only made by them adding syrups. This place needs review and it needs it asap don't tip these fake baristas they didn't even fill up the gas station fast food coffee that they made . If I had the chance to give no stars I would.... This Starbucks in Tacoma near Memos is literally the ONLY STARBUCKS that I've been to that was about to make me PAY TO TOP OFF MY LATTE WITH SOY MILK! They gave me my latte with one quarter empty and then that's when I asked for them to top it off with soy, (you know how you ask for ice on the side).... AND my kids refreshers came out almost half gone since the woman taking the order said "it'll come out the same amount of liquid" that was a false statement because it was almost half gone! The only Starbucks that didn't allow my drink to be topped off and didn't fill up my two grande refreshers. Since when do you charge for having your latte filled? Apparently only at this Starbucks in Tacoma (next to Walgreens, and across from Memos) Braaaah it's Father's Day all I wanted was a filled latte. read more

This is the second time I've been disappointed with my iced matcha The first time I considered a slip up But this time I was really annoyed that it happened again.. It was the lightest shade of green with fine bits of matcha powder floating all throughout it (AKA undissolved matcha, dry and floating in the drink) Not only that, a whole thick layer of the powder was sitting on the bottom of the cup. it's very easy to dissolve matcha powder. This is one of my favorite drive-thru/walk-up Starbucks in town. They are fast, friendly, conveniently located off Sprague Street and 6th Ave/Division Street; and have never messed-up my orders! Parking or drive-thru can get a bit hairy as the back-up flow meets against traffic or Walgreens and there's a gap between getting in or breaking up the line. I enjoy stopping here mid-day, as it's not as busy as the mad-morning-rush and craziness of the middle school traffic when school starts at 8am across the street. read more

This was my first time to this Starbucks as I have recently moved to Tacoma. I have been to many Starbucks locations and have been a gold member for a few years. Many times the shortcomings of a Starbucks location is that they are in a rush to move to the next person. At this location there was about 4 people in line when I arrived and that's the full length of their drive through. That being the case I still only took about 7 minutes to get through and get my drink. Not bad at all. As I go to Starbucks a lot I had enough stars to receive a free drink. When I told my batista that I was greeted by an enthusiastic cheer and a request for my order. I asked for the seasonal slated caramel mocha and the batista was quick to tell me I could add almond milk, soy, or increase size at no cost. Very cool! A company that is profit driven doesn't usually suggest more value when you have already made the order. One thing I will say is that the building is placed on a weird corner lot which makes the drive through a little confusing. You will want to go through the drug store parking lot to a narrow area and make the tight turn in. Once you are there though they will take good care of you. read more

My trusty neighborhood Starbucks. Probably drive thru here about 5 times a month and have rarely had a bad experience. Unless it's on a Sunday morning and there are high-maintenance people holding up the line with their self-centered behavior and massive orders. But the staff always seem to handle it so graciously. Usually I go around 6:45 am on a weekday and sometimes I am the only person there and sometimes there is a good sized line. The line usually moves quick though so I trust this place to get me to work on time. I will actually go a little out of my way to get coffee here before work because it is actually much faster than the drive through Starbucks in Fife that is super close to work. That one is terrible and so s l o w. I like Americanos with cream and for some reason, they always get the amount of cream just right. It's like a little miracle to me each time, I don't take it for granted. Other places... it's a gamble. Either way too much or not enough. Blech. Icing on the cake: as another Yelper mentioned, there is a studly man with a nice voice and a beautiful beard who says "Here you are, Miss" when he hands me my coffee. I crossed over into "Ma'am" territory many moons ago and I still take it as a sign of respect, but when I get a "Miss" from a man with a glimmering beard handing me my drug of choice, well I'll get in that drive-thru line any day. read more

When I ask, "What are the options?" for the breakfast sandwiches (since Starbucks had $h*t for signage showing them) just telling me the meat on the sandwiches isn't going to cut it. I'm thankful for two things: 1) I don't drink coffee, thus the need to visit again is minimal and 2) IF I ever did want to revisit the passion fruit tea option, it sure as hell doesn't have to be at the 6th ave. location. I frequent this Starbucks daily as it is the closest drive thru Starbucks for those who live in the Stadium District of Tacoma. LINES MON-FRI the lines can be expectedly long at the peak pre-office hours of 8-9am. The staff is very friendly and can usually get through the line quick enough. It usually wraps all the way back near the pharmacy drive through of Walgreens but other than one occasion, I've never waited longer than 7-10 minutes max in a wrap around line like that. WEEKEND GRUMP On weekends however, I often use the walk-up as I have more time. It was my 3rd time getting extremely poor service from a short haired, always-having-a-bad-day barista who always works the walk up on weekends when I've been there. She never has a name tag on and for good reason. She seems bothered to take an order and especially annoyed to scan my reward card on my phone. I overheard someone calling for her and I believe her name is APRIL. Brought my rating down from a 4-3 because she is consistently rude. OVERALL A GOOD DAILY STOP Other than that, the drive thru staff MON-FRI are always your average friendly Starbucks quality baristas who know how to get you your energy for the day with a smile. NOT FROM HERE? If you're not from this area, you will find that this Starbucks sits on the border between a well known ghetto of Tacoma called Hilltop and 6th Ave's young and lively district. If you, like me, have grown up in this area it's not a big deal and you get used to the sketchy folks asking for money at the bus stop just opposite of the Starbucks walk up order window. ADVICE Do not cut the cars waiting near the Walgreens pharmacy. There is a neighborhood understanding that the entrance is left open for other cars to get through to where they need to go and FYI you will get honked at by the entire line if you do cut! I usually come to this drive through on Sunday mornings when my husband is playing soccer to get my americano to help keep my hands warm while I stand and cheer from the sideline. I came here one morning to get my white chocolate americano with an inch of cream and I was greeted by a nice looking man with a beautiful beard at the window. He had a pleasant voice and his beard was really just amazing. 3 minutes later my drink was ready and he handed it to me. 1 star. The drink was just like any other drink from any other Starbucks. I like that in my coffee, consistency. Its nice. 1 star. I went back to the field and my husband asked me to get a redbull so off I went back to Starbucks to see if they had any.
