Came to this Starbucks on my Birthday... as I do every year. It's like an exciting part of starting my birthday off with a complimentary drink from Starbucks. The store was pretty crowded and when I presented the app to scan like I usually do, the cashier called the manager and they both told me that they could not honor the complimentary gift and that I could call the 800 number. That was pretty sucky on my birthday and it was kind of embarrassing because I was made to feel like they felt I was just trying to get a free drink and she didn't believe me, even though I offered my ID in front of a line full of people. On my way to work and I wasn't sure if I would have time to stop in for my Chai Latte. I walked in and the line was huuuuge but, luckily the baristas moved quickly and I was in and out within 10 minutes. I was worried they would be too crowded because of all the businesses in the area but they were definitely prepared for the morning rush. My Chai was great and I got to work just in time. Love this location! Starbucks is Starbucks, but I find that this location offers a few extras that I really appreciate. 1. The staff is super friendly! No matter how early you show up, they're smiling and having a good ol' time. They also make an effort to remember your name and sometimes drink options. So nice! 2. Always super clean, and fully stocked. 3. The vibe is a very "trendy business person." But everyone fits in wonderfully. 4. The line moves fast! Most of the time, especially in the morning, the line will be out the door. No worries, this staff knows their stuff. I never find myself thinking that I should have driven to the next location. I'm lucky that this location is on my way into work. But even if it wasn't, I would go out of my way to come here. Snaps to their awesome staff! Highly recommended!! read more

Definitely not the way one wants to start their morning. No customer service skills. I asked ERIC the batista if my drink had sugar free syrup since my drink wasn't labeled and in a short way he replied "that's what you asked for right" and walked away. A simple "yes" without the extra shot of RUDE would have been enough. Right before me another customer said "have a great day" and ERIC didn't even acknowledge him. I live near the Starbucks across from the South Bay Galleria, but I prefer coming to this one during the weekends. Even though it's small, you can find an open table if you come early on a Saturday or Sunday. The staff is courteous and they do a good job of keeping the place clean. Simply a cut above: for such a small store this does a remarkable job. How do I know? I'm a Starbucks junkie and retired. So I get some sick pleasure n watching folks rushing in to get their fix for the morning commute. Twenty tears ago - yea prehistoric times, one had to find some little donut shop - coffee was a secondary item. Any way, the aforementioned background info is just to say that I appreciate Starbucks; the location; and the food (oatmeal with bagel; and, of course my vanilla latte or caramel Macchiato. Good stuff. This is too damn long. So take a coffee break and return. 190th st Starbucks is an exceptional place. Small yet behaving like a giant. Moving folks through the line with "Ford" assembly line efficiency. I stopped going to 190th only because the store has but one restroom. And while I may be addicted to the coffee my prostate is addicted to restroom visits. Good for 7 or 8 months I return one busy morning and Emilio calls out my name like I was there just yesterday. Hit or miss ... sometimes you get the wrong drink ..sometimes the drink is perfect and damn near taste magical .

Great location and great service...if you come in the mornings. The morning staff is always attentive, smiling and even if you haven't been there in a while, they still recognize you and make an effort to make your drink extra special. Even when there's a line, there really isn't. I've been out the door and still got my order taken in less than 5 minutes. In the afternoon, the team changes to a group of really obnoxious group of whiny women who have nothing better to talk about but their baby daddy's. I avoid this place in the afternoon at all cost just because of the staff at that time. read more

So I've been going to this location for YEARS. The current staff (late '09) is not up to par with previous ones. The only reason I really felt compelled to write this is the taste of the coffees has deteriorated. So I visited this location early this morning on my way to the office for my 5 am start time. Of course being that they open at 4:30 am it was empty. There were only two employees working one putting out the prepackaged foods and the other behind the counter. I wish I would've gotten their names as they were both really friendly considering the time of morning it was. I ordered the low fat turkey bacon, cheddar cheese and egg white sandwich. It is one of my favorites and I feel like it's a healthier option. In addition I ordered a Venti iced green tea latte with soy. For almost every location I visit I always leave with tons of matcha in the bottom of my cup. This time however was different she took the time without me even asking and made a shaken green tea latte. I was really impressed that she took it upon herself to do so. Kind of out of the way which is nice because every time I come in there's not much of a line. Friendly baristas and fast service! Parking is always plenty with a large lot. I have never waited in a line at Starbucks for 10 minutes with 5 people working. When I look behind me, there are 9 people. The barista taking orders had to ask me 3 times about my pumpkin spice latte and the name on the order. She then proceeded to make coffee not relevant to anyone's order. This Starbucks is clean, and the baristas are very friendly, and in a good mood! It's kind of nice to see them enjoying their work and dancing around to the music... I was there during their lunch time rush, and they handled the long line very quickly, and with a pleasant attitude. I also like the fact that there were alot of good looking professional women (customers during the lunch rush) there in their late 20s there in fitted suits and short skirts. Some were speaking Japanese. Damn, I think professional women in stylish suits and skirts are sexy as hell! Especially the Japanese ones. Oh man. Oh yeah. The tea was good too! read more

I'd have to say this starbucks is one of the worst when it comes to making tasty drinks. Theirs just plain sucks, consistently. They're just not good baristas. I mean, they're friendly and all, but the drinks suck. Iv'e ordered a latte, a macciato, different frappuccinos and no matter what I ordered it always just tasted like an 8 year old was in the back mixing the drinks. I studied here for my finals last Fall with some classmates because there is one thing that separates this starbucks from all the rest, and is also the reason I gave it the extra star - this is the only starbucks place I know, that would actually turn on the heater, when it's cold -_- Other starbucks places, including Coffee Bean, would just keep the A/C going. As if somehow the drinks would be enough to keep us warm. So KUDOS to this place for turning on the heater. But I'd say, baristas need a lot of practice and improvement as far as making the drinks taste the way they're supposed to, in order to get back the reputation it once had. read more

Great, friendly, and fast service! I'm a coffee person and i'd have to say that they make my drinks perfect every time! Your coffee is only good when you KNOW how to modify it, other than that the baristas just make it to standard. I usually add a little extra this and a little extra pump of that to make my drink sweeter, or ask for "double blend" if I want my frapp a little runny than usual. The store is mostly clean when I come in and I forgive them if they miss a spot or two considering the line is always out the door in the mornings. Location is; however, close to businesses and this leads to long lines in the morning. I have been outside the door at times in line to order. This is my go to Starbucks on my way to work. Sometimes the lines can be lengthy and it seems like they are a bit understaffed, but they've yet to make my drink incorrectly. To counter the long lines, I usually mobile order. A few times I've had to wait, but they begin working on my order asap. The place is pretty clean and the staff is also friendly. read more

This place is one of the smaller Starbucks location, but I come here for the service. I've been a "regular" here for years and I know most of the baristas at this location. They are always friendly, kind and keep the place looking nice. Also, they are one of the few places that make my drinks correctly. And if it isn't right, they've happily remade the drink for me. Sometimes I forget that this kind of service is rare, until I go to another Starbucks and the baristas are either rude or don't know their product. I love the 190th and Normandie store! read more

I went yesteeday morning and I am so disappointed. This is the third time that this happens to me. I bought two cups of coffee and both of them tasted like water and sugar. I went back and complained and they had the auducity of telling me that it wasnt possible for my coffee to taste watery because they used milk and everything is calibrated. Waste of time!! I was looking forward to my good Starbucks oatmeal this morning but ending up disappointing! Very rude barista, felt like I was bothering him when asking for additional sweetener. Not sure if he knows that he's their to help people. I got the feeling he felt like customers were their for him. Sucks because I like the location. 02 16 2018 Ordered coffee and a sandwich through the mobile app. When I arrived it seemed like the mobile orders were not received correctly and were coming out slowly or not at all. The mobile crowd around the pick up counter was growing. People were visibly growing impatient at the rate of mobile orders being fulfilled. Tension, I mean this is our morning coffee I'm talking about! Anyway, a barista named Sonja was highly noticed by me as being aware of what was happening. She gave a pleasant smile to all, and worked like crazy to get ahead of whatever failure Starbucks mobile ordering apparatus was suffering. Sonja, along with her morning team, overcame the bottle neck and got back on track of delivering morning fuel to us who needed it. i love this starbucks ! why? 1 block of my office. i stop every morning before going to the mine! no parking issue. the staff is nice enough to understand my order even with my strong french accent !!! it s a nice friendly place: i am meeting almost everyday a friend...that is a good lucky sign! never met an enemy yet ! lol can stay inside , or outside with several tables you can eat around at walking distance and take your after lunch cafe ... yes it s busy with a line sometimes, but it s not so long time to wait. see you tomorow morning there! read more
