Thank you to Daniel for providing excellent customer service! I rarely visit Coffee Bean because there are few locations around, and I'm not a fan of their powders. They also can't control the sweetness level on some or most of their drinks. I had to wait for the traffic to lighten up before heading home, so I spent a few hours at this location. There were plenty of seats, and they do have outlets for charging. The place is pretty clean. Parking can be limited because of students staying long to study. I also saw the garage next door using their parking. I ordered their Ceylon Milk Tea with Boba. The drink was too sweet, and the boba pearls were okay. Overall, a good experience. Just went through the drive thru and at the end of my transaction I asked for a receipt, the girl at the window rudely told me don't have receipt paper and walked away from the window... then I stayed at the window to ask if there was a different way for me to get my receipt and the girl came back to the window and said "um did I forget something" and I said "is there no other way to get my receipt" and she said "no we're out of paper" and walked away again... if there is no paper receipts they should be providing other methods of receipts either text or email and definitely don't think staff needs to be rude to a customer asking for a receipt. Had the pleasure of coming into Coffee Bean on Crenshaw + 182nd in Torrance today! First off it has a drive thru -- loved! I went inside, first time there and it was so cute! It's one of the nicest Coffee Bean's I've seen! I mean the decor, the modern style and aesthetics were everything! I was greeted so warmly and was helped by a manager Lorena I believe her name was. So, nice... was awesome to see that another customer who came in (a regular, it seemed) she knew names and greeted warmly, just the same. My drink (Reg. Matcha Ice blend w/ Almond Milk + Cinnamon in blend) was called out at the pickup stand... they actually had signage that said "Pick up" ...like I've been to many CBTL's and for me this one was just so super cuuuute in there to me! I also appreciated the little extra something to my drink as well (putting cinnamon on top), was a nice touch. OVERALL: I would recommend this location. Right off the 405fwy exit Crenshaw. This was by far our worst experience here at coffee bean unfortunately. The service was mid, baristas were unenthused. Which reflected in the quality of our drinks. We've had coffee Bean plenty times before and this was definitely just a complete waste. They just aren't on it. Our drinks were not made to par. They lacked in quality and taste. It's a shame because there are so many other coffee places to choose from so to spend nearly $20 for poorly made products is a clear indication to spend my money elsewhere. The banana walnut loafs were nasty, hard, dry and not tasty at all. Extremely dried out and not in the least anywhere worth the money spent. You make the cute inside all you want! Horrible decline in quality and service. There was a day when CB&T focused on quality coffee, tea, and baked items. It is now basically an chain focused exclusively on selling blended drinks with tons of sugar and artificial flavors. Their employees are disinterested and don't know a coffee bean from a kidney bean. The baked goods are pre-packaged low quality items that you would get at a 7-11, but they sell them at top dollar. I went to through the drive through this morning 10 mins after opening. The lady working the window taking orders opened her bandaid and was scratching her womb at the window. I did not see her wash her hands and she continued to hand us our food. Honestly, I felt uncomfortable having my meal after seeing that. The general manager, Samantha, and I say this with NO exaggeration, is the greatest thing to ever happen to the coffee industry. She runs this Coffee Bean like her life depends on it. I've never seen her working slower than hyper speed, and she treats everyone with such great amounts of respect. I do not know how she does it. She is, dare I say, an inspiration. The rest of the team is awesome too. They've made morning commutes so much more tolerable. I opt to go inside the store instead of the drive thru because it's such a pleasant experience. The CBTL on Crenshaw off the 405 is old school, and has a cozy and inviting atmosphere- and thankfully, a hold out on the old style decor they were known for. We opted to "coffee in ". The cappuccino was on point, they have excellent decaf lattes if you want one, and do have a good selection of pastries. They also have a drive thru, which is cool, if you're on the go. Our order was good of course. At other CBTLs they used to plate your pastries for you. I kind of miss that extra detail. Most CBTLs I go to are busy, and so I get you can't expect that every time. But our location was not busy at all. So I feel they left off what I wanted which was a little bit more service. Do stop by this location a bit. It's much better coffee than bucks and I will always consider CBTL the place to beat. read more

I'm done with this location. I've accepted the poor service here for too long simply because I'm a fan of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand. Tonight was the final straw (pun intended). Let's start with tonight. Drive thru hours are listed online AND on their actual store window as being open until 10:30pm. I pull up to the drive thru at 9:22pm. I'm waiting at the menu for someone to greet me. 7 minutes later and a row of cars behind me...nothing. So I pull forward to the actual window. Lights are on, machines are running, but there is nobody to be found anywhere. This isn't the first time this has happened, either. Same thing happened to me about a couple of weeks ago and I just brushed it off figuring the employee(s) might be on break and hopefully not hiding from me (see paragraph below for an even earlier incident). Visits in between these two recent incidents were ok. Now let's back up about a month and a half ago... I pulled up to the drive thru at 10:00pm (keep in mind, posted hours are listed as a 10:30pm closing time) and again, nobody greeted me. When I pulled up to the window, nobody was there. As I started to drive off, I saw a guy pop up and he said "oh shit" when he saw that I saw him. I backed up my car and a girl then popped up at the window as well, looked embarrassed, and ran to the back and out of sight. Then the guy returns to the window and says "hey man, I'm really sorry about that...we didn't expect anyone to be here. We were trying to close early." I told him not to worry about it and that I would just leave, then he told me, "I think we can still make you a couple of drinks...what would you like?" So I placed my order and he handed me the drinks. He apologized to me once again for his behavior and I told him not to worry about it. I'm only worried about it now because I've had multiple strange incidents of hiding/disappearing employees in the past 45 days. I always come around the same time (between 9 and 10pm) so it's not like they can say they're not open those hours. Where is the work ethic? I don't even want to think about what that guy and girl might have been doing behind the counter. Might want to roll the camera footage back for that one. This location is a total embarrassment to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand, which I generally consider to be more upscale than Starbucks. It's a shame because this location is so close to my home. I'll just have to drive to another location from now on, or worse...Starbucks. read more

The best it's like the motto is quality over quantity. Down to the hand soap in the bathroom. The coffee is alway great. The people always so nice fast and more than make up for any mistakes they have ever made. I even forgot my wallet once and they still gave me my coffee. I wanted to shed a tear cause I was having the worst day and they had no idea. The coffee made it a bit better. I love the EV car charger. It's the reason I started coming more often. I really love this place. I wish I had one closer to home. Suggestion an additional Ev charger just in case this one is busy I can still come and charge my car. Maybe even solar powered so it's free. I ordered the watermelon mint tea and the cinnamon coffee cake at the drive thru window. Pulled up to pay for my purchase, the agent at the window took my credit card and presented me first the my 32 Oz drink, then after my warmed coffee cake. Then the cashier turns and walk away from the drive thru, and starts talking and laughing with co-workers. Wow I'm waiting on my receipt. The window was cracked so I beeped my horn, they were looking at me but she never turned around, so then I tried calling her, nothing. I've then beeped for the 3rd time at this point they knew and realized I was going no where. So she finally came to the window to see what I wanted and I asked her for my receipt. She seemed to have an attitude. She then give me the receipt and tells me that If I take the survey, I'll save a $1.00 on my next visit. Well here is my Survey my drink had a watered down lack of watermelon taste, Little if no mint at all. Well I could not taste it. And the coffee cake tasted like warm slightly soft drywall with cinnamon sugar on it. I need my money back. And I cheated on Starbuck for this trash, and horrible customer service. I live in city of Compton and I'll come to Torrance or Gardena expecting to get better service, but nope it's just certain people who have jobs where they don't belong. If you are not a people person, please stay away from an establishment where you need to interact with customers. The best thing out of this whole transaction were the napkins, because I was able to spit that nasty coffee cake out, and wipe off my overly iced filled drink with no taste. read more

My go-to Coffee Bean! The workers here are always nice, especially for a fast-paced work environment. I almost always get a Cookies & Cream Ice Blended with extra cookies. With or without coffee, it's sooo sooo good. **FUN FACT: I found this drink on google & it's actually known as "the Phoebe drink" (from the show "Friends")** The best part about this particular Coffee Bean is that I rarely have to wait longer than 10min, even with a long drive-thru line.
