Worst Starbucks I've been to. I'm wondering if you guys can ever get my order right? Is there a certain training provided to employees on how to make drinks? This has been the fifth time I go in and ask for a brown sugar shaken espresso. Not only is the cinnamon missing but you guys either make it really strong and dark or really milky with a lot of sweetener . I am not one to complain, but I just think it's crazy how many times I have to repeat myself yet my order is still horrible. At this point I'd rather drive 15 minutes off base than risk my drink being made without care. Very disappointing. read more

these workers have no sense of urgency when making drinks. lines get longer, food gets colder. ive waited 30 min for my drink it's ridiculous. as someone who used to work at starbucks prior to service, this is the slowest location ive ever experienced. read more

This Starbucks (that's located in the Marine Corps base - twentynine palms), you're great & I like you! It's located inside the PX by the entrance & the check-out lanes. I'm here from Oceanside, CA visiting my husband (he's here going through a course). Stopped in the PX to look around & saw they had a Starbucks! (Cue the heavenly bell chimes). One barista took my order then I paid with another - they were pretty friendly (THANK YOU - I love Starbucks locations with friendly employees), the items were stocked, the place was clean, & my drink came out at a great time! I just want to say that I appreciate that there was more than 2 employees working - 1-2 were out on the floor cleaning & stocking, while the others were taking orders & making drinks. I LOVE THAT. Keep doing what y'all are doing! I hope that if I ever come back up here, it's the same as what i'm describing ^ :) read more

I love this place, but this was a buzz kill this AM ): this place is great most of the time, but my coworker brought back a drink this AM and didn't realize it until she gave it to me...super chunky almondmilk. Ordered drinks here several times, ranging from Cold Brew to flat whites. They even knew what a medicine ball was! Capable baristas and clean enough areas for how busy they are. I'd say they lose half a star for having the music too loud most of the time. Hard to hold a conversation if you're sitting in there. All in all, a good experience. read more

Ok 2 stars because everyone here is really nice. I asked for a soy milk chai latte. I tasted my drink when it came out and it tasted like regular milk. I even asked the girl if she used soy and said yes but it tasted way too watery for soy milk. I'm extremely lactose intolerant and now am physically sick because of this mistake. Please don't tell your customers that it's one way when it's another especially when someone's health is involved. read more

I'm so glad there's a Starbucks on 29 Palms! It makes being out in the desert much less sucky. That said, this Starbucks is exactly what you'd expect. There is free wifi throughout the PX which is plenty strong. The only thing I wish is that it would open before the rest of the PX. I take hubby to work at 0500, so 0600 is way too late for my morning pick me up. The Dunkin' Doughnuts at Pendleton opens before the PX, why can't our Starbucks? read more

The Starbucks on the Marine Corps Base is where you'll find all the derelict SNCOs and officers hiding out during the workday - just kidding... sort of. The coffee house on base offers gourmet espresso drinks and snacks that are higher quality and price than the convenient store offering in the café of the MCX just 30 feet away. While your money doesn't go as far in the Starbucks, the service is still good and they carry all of the items that you'd find in a normal SBs. Good for a place to meet and catch up and I often see families in here passing the time in the lounge style chairs. For the Marines, don't forget that you're still on base, so make sure you're within regs because there are senior Marines that can make you less than comfortable while seeking out your caffeine fix and while its a great place to relax, some may find it harder to do so with the customs and courtesies looming. So, fine place to grab some coffee on base, just make sure you have a good hair cut or Gunny might walk you two doors down and disrupt your morning joe. read more

I've only come here a couple of times but I have always been pleased with my order and the service. The employees are always very friendly and work quickly despite how busy it can get. I remember this one employee in particular. I was one of the only customers inside and I was debating whether I wanted to try the Green Tea Frappe because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. I asked the employee if she'd ever tried it and she gave me her honest opinion. I ordered it and I guess she noticed that I was still hesitant because she told me that she'd be happy to make me something else for free if I didn't like it. I thought that was nice of her to offer, even if she only said it to get me out of her hair haha. read more

I've been here a couple times and my go to drink at any Starbucks is the VSC cold brew, light ice. Usually they taste great but at this Starbucks they like to water it down. Half cold brew half water...the whole point of light ice is so that it doesn't get watered down so fast. It's happened more than once and makes the drink taste like crap. Like almost every starbucks, staff is friendly. Drinks are okay as far as starbucks drink go. Only downside, no order on the go!!

This place decided to close in the middle of the business day. I mean, to have a little employee party or something. Not like people might want a coffee right after lunch, right? I mean who does that... manager must not like the store making money. read more

All about that Mocha Frappuccino baby. I'm pretty sure it is the only item I have ever gotten at Starbucks and plan to keep it that way. It never fails. The girls here are very friendly and get everything done right. Had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich one morning and it was pretty decent. My buddies and I head down once in awhile and will probably keep that up until we leave. read more

Slowest service , coffee will not taste the same as other star bucks I have been there a few times, they always perform with consistency, consistent disappointment, but hey what would working hard actually get them? nothing so obviously they get paid by the hour working extremely slow. Great staff but their hours are so erratic it's hard to keep up. The hours listed on the MCX 29 Palms website say open at 0600 but sometimes they're not open until 0800 or 1000. It's really disappointing when it's one of the only places to grab breakfast on base besides nasty Carl's Jr, on a Saturday morning. read more

I visit quite often. Drink quality is known to vary depending on the barista. They are always willing to remake a drink if it isn't up to par. Staff is friendly. I have witnessed the "head" manager (older lady, short reddish hair) sit around during very busy times. read more
