This location used to be my every single day stop pre COVID on the way to the airport for 10 years. I decided to cut the stop out three years ago for health reasons. I've been back a few times this year and most recently enjoyed an entire remodel. It looks super! I also used the restroom which was spic and span with proper supplies. Covid review circa April 2020, when this was one of the few Starbucks even opened. Even with reduced hours and access limits, something is better than nothing. Seemed the employees were trying to make the most of the less than ideal configuration with positive attitudes. I can get by with making coffee at home but my wife enjoys a 'bucks Caramel Mach like nobody's business. Instead of waiting in the long drive thru line, we parked and ordered/paid via app, then headed inside after 5min for pickup. At the time, only 1 customer was allowed inside at a time for order pickup. No restroom usage, no tables/seating. Drink was ready and we were back on the road...home for shelter in place, but with a happy caffeinated wife. read more

Seems silly, but this is my ride or die Starbucks location! We have about 3 locations all within the same distance from our home, but this one just really gets my drinks right. Do you ever take a sip of your drink and want to personally thank the barista who made it? That's me every time I order from this location. Today I got the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, different from my cult favorite-- the Sweet Cream Cold Brew. I was a little hesitant at first because I'm definitely a "cream with a little coffee" kind of gal. But the woman taking my order knew exactly what to add when I told her I like sweet coffee! Located along Northampton Blvd, this Starbucks has it going on! When you place a mobile order they have a shelf and you pick your order up without people touching your food and drink order. Private parking lot and they do have a drive through. Very clean and well lighted inside in the event you choose to siphon their Wi-Fi and music. The employees actually greet you when you enter and as you pick up your mobile order they encourage feedback to make sure you are happy with your selection. Not all Starbucks do this. Most will silently pray that you go away quickly and leave them a tip. Definitely a location I'd frequent if in the area. read more

Worst experience ever. On Covid Phase 1 opening Day my son ordered a Hot Breakfast Sandwich. The server was rushing closely toward him with his food without a mask. He had to jump backward to assure he was 6' away. His food was uncovered, her without a mask, passing through crowds too closely and his food was partially frozen. She broke all the CDC Guidelines and Guidelines set by our Governor. This place violated every rule. No crowd control. My son did not accept the food and had already paid. He lost Money & time. So apparently this is considered one of the worst Starbucks locally. Luckily, I caught them on their "off" streak of sucking. My experience was uneventful via drive thru. My order was expeditiously taken and I received my unicorn frappuccino in the same manner. To boot, it was served with a smile! Take that all you non believers. ;-) (I'm playing. All I know is that Princess Lily was responsible for those unicorn deaths. As for these limited time unicorn drinks.. I think Rainbow Brite got a little too happy with the sweet tarts in this drink. It reminded me of a marriage of creamsicle and sweet tarts and evidently sweet tarts wears the pants in this magical potion drink of sweetness, or excuse me tartness. I say if you want to experience the novelty of the drink, go for it. But go short or tall , really small with this drink. Unless of course, you're a tart lover. I'm sad to say I don't feel this drink was instagram worthy either. It looked more like Pop Art colors representing for sweet tarts. Look at it. Psst.. it looks like the colors of a sweet tarts' wrapper. In the end. You do you. **REVIEW FOR DRIVE THRU ONLY** This Starbucks location is a little difficult to get to just because of the traffic patterns at this area but other than that the experience was great! There was hardly a line which was unexpected since it was around 5pm (I expected everyone to be getting their after-work caffeine fix). The parking lot was large and from the outside the building looked very clean. My server on the intercom was very nice and was patient when I was having a hard time deciding what to get! I received my wonderful pink drink just the way I wanted with the exception of the strawberries that are supposed to be included with the strawberry acai refresher. I guess while I was sitting there, a military challenge coin that I have been carrying around with me everyday since 2007 must have fell out of my pocket. I called this morning to see if anyone had found it and turned it in. I was speaking to Natalie and after some probing questions, she confirmed having found my coin in the seat cushion and made arrangements for me to be able to pick it up. I'm giving this place 3 stars off of past experiences here. Funny that the first time I go ahead and check in, I get 1 star service. So me and my coworker go in and order frappuccinos (which is common after a busted day at work). She ordered the venti caramel frapp and I had the grande mocha frapp. She got here fairly quickly, and said it was horrible. At this point, we are still in the store, so I'm not sure why she didn't return it. We had time, because they still had not made mine yet. 15 MINUTES LATER, which is an eternity at Starbucks, I finally get THE WRONG DRINK! They made me a hot mocha instead of the frappuccino. Then had the nerve to say "that's what they rang up". Ummm, no they didn't. As expensive as Starbucks is, it's not $5.25 for a hot coffee, unless you put a butt ton of shots in it. I guess this guy was new, because he didn't know what frapp meant on the receipt! Really? I finally get my drink (no comp coupon for the mistake...which I have gotten because it took the 5 minutes to get me a order in drive thru, which I wasn't even vexed about) and of course, it was bad! They take care of their regulars by going as far as remembering your order. Always a friendly environment. On a perfectly good Monday morning I go to Starbucks like I normally would. However, I was closer to the NorthHampton blvd and decided that I'd give them a try instead of my regular location on Hampton blvd which has never failed me. Today was a different experience all together, I ordered a double smoke bacon cheddar and egg sandwich which my mouth was set for. A sandwich that single handedly would make you a loyal customer. I instead received a sandwich so charred I wouldn't feed it to my dog King who finds most things appetizing. I've never been more unsatisfied in my life. Because not only was my sandwich charred beyond a crisp where it's inedible. The employee who bagged it knew it was charred to this point and knowingly proceeded to send this terrible representation for the companies product out the window to me. I just believe when it comes to providing food for anyone, you don't sell something you obviously can't eat. Guess the whole treat others as you want to be treated went out the window today. Hopefully this was just a one time scenario, however local friends in need of consistency. I warn you, don't be surprised if your food you pay for is inedible too, because if they acknowledge that it isn't edible they will still sell it to you regardless. What, ANOTHER Starbucks Review? Don't you ever go to local coffeehouses??? This is the Starbucks that is (probably) closest to my home and home office, so when I'm out of coffee at home (as was the case today), it is too easy to pop down the street for a quick Venti Bold and be back at my desk before anybody misses me. Today, it had to be Sumatra. Anything less would have caused a rough day to be impossible. Thankfully, the Green Lady obliged, Sumatra was the Bold of the Day. This particular Starbucks has a vast drive thru market it seems, and today the line was wrapped half way around the building. If you run into the same line of cars, park the Honda and walk inside, there is usually not many people inside prior to 9AM. Walk right up to the counter and grab a cup. The vibe at this Starbucks is about middle of the road. Inside seating is nice and sunny all day long, but in the summer time, they tend to go overboard on the air conditioning. Outside is adequate as long as you don't mind drinking lattes in a parking lot. Yea, me neither. For today, yes, I'm a fan. If for no other reason than seeing the big Sumatra sign over the Bold pot. read more

Much can be said about Starbucks stores as each one isn't an exact replica of the other. I've always believed in the saying, "Your experience may vary" for good reason. This store sits on Northampton Blvd which is a very busy thoroughfare in the region. It sits in the south end of a small strip like mall location that features the likes of a Quiznos Sub, Fed Ex store and Sakura Japanese Sushi Bar. The parking is plentiful but I should warn you that traffic flow can be confusing and dangerous. This location has a drive thru that empties into a one way. The problem is that no one bothers to obey the 'Do Not Enter' sign posted or the big white one way arrow that's painted on the pavement showing how traffic flow should proceed. As such, if you happen to enter the parking lot from the Burton Station Rd entrance keep your eyes peeled for cars zipping around the corner trying to exit. I've seen too many near collisions here. I originally started visiting this location when I worked on staff at the nearby Norfolk Academy. Personally, to me, the baristas are what make this location special to me. Coming here over a hundred times and I'm sure more times that I just simply forgot to check in for, I got to know these baristas on a more personal level than the casual customer. For the sake of brevity, I'll just say that I've never encountered a problem with a barista or with the service provided. I've had two botched drinks (in over a hundred check ins) and the impact on my morale was minimal as these baristas saw to it that I got what I wanted in the end. Aside from great service, I will say that the store itself is a bit bland and cookie cutter compared to others I've been to. The new location on Military Hwy has some awesome architectural aesthetics that I appreciate. This one? Not so much. However, there's ample seating inside and a small landing/patio area in the front of the store. Overall, I enjoy my experience when I come to this location and you best believe as often as I've been here these baristas yell "Attention On Deck!" When I come through those doors! LOL! Extremely unsatisfied with this location. I ordered a hot pike place coffee and it came out cold. It was literally cold and undrinkable. I went through the drive-thru and didn't try it until I stopped at the intersection leaving and it was too late to go back. The last time I came to this location I ordered an iced coffee and there was so much ice in it I couldn't even fit the straw in the cup. Of course it only took me 5 sips to finish the drink and then it was all water. It's a shame because I live right down the road but the quality is such an inconvenience. read more

This is pretty much a cookie cutter Starbucks. It has the standard drink fare, and decent food selection. It has a nice sitting area inside, but the only problem is that the windows face south and soutwest, which means in the afternoon the sun is really blasting in, and it can get really warm sitting there.
