Slow going

We stopped for a cup of Joe at this Starbucks today. It's a typical Starbucks where you can get great coffee and they have a number of choices to curb that hunger. We did the drive through for a Vente Pikes Place and it was as good as any other Starbucks. But it was very slow. And that's why I gave it a 4.

Aside from a very small parking lot, and some water bug awkward and tight location, in terms of the drive-thru, no real complaints here. Very typical Starbucks with a very friendly and decent staff. Haven't had a bad experience here. Like most Starbucks, though, you will have your days where your drink is spot-on and perfect and then you'll have your other days where you drive away and you can tell somebody didn't follow the recipe, was in a rush or just didn't care. I can't think of one Starbucks that I repeatedly visit that has any type of consistency. That isn't a blemish on Starbucks, but rather the fast food industry as a whole. You sort of expect to expect the expected, if you will. And, unfortunately, you never know what you're going to get. Would I go back? Yes. This is a local location that I stopped at occasionally. I haven't had a horribly negative experience there. One downside on the drive-thru is that, it's the type that "once you're in, you're stuck" design. So, if that line is long, and you're short on time, you may want to think again. Once you're in line at this Starbucks, you're committed. No matter what happens.

This one is the nearest to the AMC, so we stopped by to have a beverage here. Great place. The staff is good. The overall ambiance is really good. With direct sunlight available from two sides, it's a great place to relax on a sunny day. Plenty of seating options inside with quite trendy chairs. They have a couple of low height but high-chair design chairs on the service counter which I haven't seen in any of the Starbucks I have visited till date. We went for their Chai Tea Latte with Soy Milk and it was great - pretty much the same taste as everywhere else. Overall, great place to relax.

Tis the season ago for pumpkin flavored everything including Starbucks drinks! Starbucks released a new drink, Nitro Cold Brew with Pumpkin cream, along with the classic pumpkin spice latte. The first sip was delicious with hints of cinnamon on the foam but the more you drink it, I believe the flavor of the coffee is diluted by the pumpkin cream. I wonder if it was just how my drink was made, or if it is the nature of the drink. I believe the drink tastes a little more of cinnamon then pumpkin, but everyone to their own. If you are looking for a less sweet version of the PSL, then this might be the drink for you.

Who doesn't love Starbucks...unless you're thoroughly against big business?! I can appreciate that mentality, but they're no WALYWORLD! I love my neighborhood Starbucks! The people there are ridiculously friendly. I have to say going there is my guilty pleasure and it happens every day. My son (and dogs) get tons of attention! He loves going to see them...he even tells me when he's ready to go sometimes! My drink of choice is an iced soy cinnamon dolce (or pumpkin/gingerbread if in season) chai. I NEED IT!!! The new cake on a stick, wow. Had the birthday one and thought I was in heaven! I did a fund raiser for a Hamilton, OH homeless shelter by selling coffee in my driveway in the dead of winter just before Christmas. When I talked to the manager, Debbie, about what I was doing, she gladly offered to donate the coffee and all the amenities toward my cause. We made over $200.00! Thank you Debbie!! And THANK YOU to the entire group at the Union Centre Starbucks for making my visits fun and tasty!!!

Your typical Starbucks. I mostly visit when placing a mobile order that I pick up at the end of the counter. In the two years, I've been visiting this location the service has been consistent and I don't recall my order magically getting lost like at other locations. Inside the seating is right up next to the line, so if it's a busy time of day you could have other customers along your table waiting to order. You'll find folks from local cops working the beat, rushing commuters, and teleworkers at this location. Five stars after visiting on Christmas Eve morning and receiving great service. My first words to the staff were "Good Morning. Thank-you for working today" They were the same perky selves, maybe a tad more pleasant since there didn't seem to be a morning rush. Decided on trying something new, the Eggnog latte. Which was ok. As I was deciding, they did offer to make something new if I didn't like it. I took the opportunity to mention that if Starbucks didn't remove my favorite holiday spiced flat white from the menu this would be so much easier. We joked around how my entire holiday travel was ruined without it. So, hopefully they bring it back next year

Holiday cup!

We were immediately greeted upon entry, and pleasantly surprised to find a fair amount of choices left! As we looked over our choices, the employee offered a sample of their donut holes as a first time visitor! The donut holes were nice. Fluffy and nice, not overly sweet. We ordered a glazed persian, glazed crueller and a cotton candy. My daughter didnt care for the cotton candy topping, but no points loss since it is preference issue. It was a little toooo sugary for us. Husband reports French crueller was really good, well made and good flavor. Persian was a bit too sweet for him. I ordered a sugar twist to enjoy later, imagining it to be soft and fluffy like the donut hole. We will be bringing the rest of our kiddos here to check it out in the future!

Their donuts are beautifully made, and I decided to try the doughsant ($4.25). Its shape reminded me of Parlor's version, though I found it not flaky enough, especially at that price point. The location is easy to access, with plenty of parking. It's almost a standalone building, except for one neighboring business. Overall, a nice stop if you're exploring the local donut scene!

We chose to eat on the patio area. Again it was clean and updated. The service was really good. Both servers were incredibly friendly and really seemed like they enjoyed working at Sonder. Where to start…read more... I'll start with the chicken wrap. The blackened chicken southwest wrap. It was great. I enjoyed it. This great wrap that I enjoyed was the least memorable part of my first meal at my new favorite place to eat and drink. Funny because it was the main course. Apparently, they brew everything they have on tap. Their shining star is an IPA called You Betcha! I don't like IPAs, but I love You Betcha! They have a grape variation of You Betcha which is flat-out delicious. Every time they'd stop by and ask if I want another drink, they got a progressively more sloppy, Fargo-accent laden "You Betcha!" Let's talk about their beer cheese for a second. I had it with some tortilla chips, but then ordered some pretzels with beer cheese. To be clear, they also sent out mustard with the pretzels and cheese. This beer cheese is now my favorite food and beverage. I think they should serve their beer cheese in a mug... with a pretzel straw.... it would be great for the ol' cholesterol. The staff ranges from plain friendly to snarky-yet-hilarious. The customers... were friendly. Like, the whole place was cool, and attracted cool people. It made for a fun evening. Highly recommend!

Our server hustled and our drinks and food were provided quickly and accurately. The appetizers were the best food of the night, especially the pulled pork nachos and pub pretzels. Other shared bites ordered were the hummus platter and buffalo chicken dip with chips. I enjoyed my breakfast burger with the fried egg and fries. My coworker that ordered the shrimp po boy sandwich gave it a thumbs up. Most other items, including the pizzas and salads, got poor reviews. My friend noted the shaved brussels salad was one of the worst items he'd eaten. Plenty of beers on tap. The environment at Voodoo was awful, which became a laughing matter. We sat at a high top table made of pallets and the steel chairs were incredibly uncomfortable for some of our team to sit in. Several of us were sliding forward out of the seat and by the end of the night we were in pain having wrapped our feet around the legs to stay out. By the end of the night most of us were standing up at the table. Trivia was the nightly event. The music was loud and person leading trivia was fairly hard to understand over it. Our host that picked Voodoo thought it may be a fun activity for us but we gave up on participating. Lots of seating inside and fine for groups. Private parking lot. If you stop in, ask for a short table (also with bad chairs) and only order apps and beer.

From the very first bite, the food wrapped me up like a cozy blanket. The servers, meanwhile, moved with a laid-back, almost Sunday-morning calm, even though the calendar said otherwise. That easy pace wasn't a deal breaker, but it did have me sneaking glances toward the kitchen, part patient and part curious. When the omelet finally arrived, my eyes widened. Calling it an omelet feels too plain. Picture a quiche teaming up with an airy pile of eggs and stacking itself sky-high, one luscious layer after another. The whole thing reminded me of a savory, egg-only lasagna. Each forkful was soft, buttery, and delightfully rich. While I waited, I hugged a mug of coffee between my palms. Nothing fancy to report--just hot, strong, caffeinated comfort doing exactly what I needed it to do as the morning rubbed the sleep from its eyes. I strolled out already plotting a return for the specialty pancakes everyone keeps buzzing about. If they're half as magical as that omelet, I might have to set up permanent residence. For now, I'm docking one star for the leisurely service. Speed things up a bit and this place earns a solid five.
