My sausage and egg breakfast with pancakes.
Rick C.

Left home looking forward to an awesome breakfast but it didn't turn out as well as we hoped. As we got out of our car we noticed signs posted on the door that they will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until further notice and another advising that they were hiring for cooks, hostesses, and servers. There was one young lady inside doing her best to run between the cashier position to the hostess stand and seating guests. She looked frustrated but was trying to hide it. Once seated we were greeted by our server who did an excellent job. Unfortunately the menu was about 1/3rd or less then it used to be. We both ordered and were served our meals within 8-10 minutes and it was piping hot and correct. I complaints here or with our service. The food was very good although since the choices on the menu weren't what they used to be I had to settle for what was being offered. The side / add on items seemed to all be very overpriced for what was offered. Note that this is in a Sunday at 11:00 when there is usually a line out the door and a 45 minute wait. Not today which is sad to see. I feel like they are on the way out and it would be sad to see another local restaurant closing if it comes to that.

Hadn't been here in awhile. Service was fast and friendly on a Thursday. Menu has a decent amount of breakfast offerings. A little surprised they didn't have jelly for toast, just preserved. Belgian waffle was good and hearty.

Once again, The Original Pancake House did not disappoint. My daughter likes coming here occasionally in remembrance of her father who passed away a few years ago. It was his favorite breakfast stop. The food was fresh, hot and a feast for the eyes and stomach. My Strawberry Belgian Waffle was prepared exactly as I like it; with tons of whipped cream, powdered sugar, strawberries, & strawberry syrup, along with a side a bacon and their famous deluxe potatoes. It was way too much food for me to eat but I gave it a good try. I went on a Wednesday morning and it was the first time we did not have to wait to be seated which was even better as wait times on the weekends can be long sometimes. Our table had a wide array of food such as Strawberry Belgium waffle, Bacon Belgium waffle, Chocolate Chip Belgium Waffle, Pancakes, Bacon, Deluxe potatoes, sausage, and an assortment of juices. If you have yet to try this place, what are you waiting for?

Told 10m wait. 40+ later watching dozens leave and no one being seated. I get it "help wanted" sign but very frustrating wait. Hope the food is worth it!! Finally seated (they're doing huge bunches instead of trickling as in/out. Seems inefficient) Told 15m for food. We'll see! 30m in and still waiting... Got it (see pics) Great server and we tipped her but rest of system here needs some work!!

Eggs and Canadian bacon with pancakes

When we first came the hostess wasn't the friendliest, but our waitress was amazing. The menu needs a little more clarification that pancakes come with the eggs and whatever meat you decide on. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The food came out hot and fresh and everything was delicious. Highly recommend for breakfast.

Went here at request of a visiting family member, the place just isn't what it used to be. Menu has shrunk considerably and it seems dated, reminds me of a 1990s breakfast restaurant. Service was okay, nothing bad nothing special. Pricing was very reasonable. Potatoes and pancakes were good. My major complaint is they don't have any REAL maple syrup, just the genetic chemical stuff. I would only go back if out of town family request it again.

Veggie omelette, orange juice

I found this place by accident and gave it a try. It is really good. The first time I had a stack of pancakes and an orange juice. The juice was freshly made. The pancakes were delicious and cane with a homemade jam. My server Sharon was very helpful with the menu. The food arrived in a good time. I went for a second time and had the vegetarian omelette. That was a monster! It was a big omelette with fresh veggies. The menu is not as limited as other reviews said. It has lot of options of eggs dishes, breakfast meats, toasts and pancakes. Both pancakes and omelets highly recommended

Should have included a Mimosa for this price. And spare me the tip suggestions!

Service was fine. Place smelled weird. Bathrooms were disgusting. Food was undercooked. I would absolutely not return.

They have a combo that's not on the menu that includes pancakes, potatoes, eggs, and sausage or bacon - that's the way to go!

If you're looking for a good casual breakfast or brunch, or the best way to start your day of…read moreshopping, you need to check out Toast & Berry! There are tons of different options, the service is friendly and helpful & the vibes are great! The blueberry pancake is huge & the compote on it tastes awesome! I'm a big chicken & waffles fan so I had to give the sandwich a try! The chicken is crispy on the outside, but tender and moist on the inside. The Belgian waffles hold their ground and are the perfect platform for this sandwich; getting the chicken Nashville style is the way to go too if you like a little zip!

Ordered the Hemingway Benedict. The eggs were closer to hard-boiled than poached. There was maybe a…read moreteaspoon of hollandaise. There was a bunch of smoked salmon, but it was meh--one of the driest benedicts I've ever had. Coffee was good. Twice I tried to get a waitress's attention (once she looked directly at me and walked away). There was no spoon to stir my coffee at the table or in the rolled-up napkin. So I got up to grab one myself. When I grabbed a spoon from the empty server station, I got a dirty look from the waitress as she started approaching me. I told her I needed a spoon, but she ignored me. She then asked me to check the silverware roll. I told you. And she walked away. The orange juice was okay. Did not taste fresh-squeezed; maybe the oranges aren't good. I guess I'll keep going to greasy spoons: better service, better food, better price.

Sigh, I want to root for you, Fireside Cafe, but you make it a challenge. Everything tastes like…read moresomething I can make at home, or worse. Kind of a cross between bar food and food from DQ, but I've had bar food that's better than this. First, why Fireside? There is no fireplace! Also, the space gives off more of a bar & grill vibe than a cafe vibe, IMO. When we stopped in at Friday at 5, I was hoping we found a hidden gem. But, seeing no one here to dine should have been the first indication to go elsewhere...this was the worst meal I've had in a long time! Fried Ravioli - not enough sauce, and they were round? All other friend ravioli I've had were square. They were not good, would have preferred them to be meat instead of ricotta. Fish & Chips - while the fries were cooked well, they had no seasoning. Fish was meh. Was given something that looked and tasted like honey mustard, but lo and behold they put mustard in the tarter sauce...vile. Fruit cup was good, until the honeydew...tasted off. My husband had the chicken parm, which he liked, but after tasting it, I don't see how. Tasted like straight up flour. Maybe I ordered the wrong things? I may never know, as I see no reason to return to Fireside Cafe.

I stopped in for an early working lunch as I work remotely. Great service, they had one waitress on…read moreduty but she was young, energetic, and covering all the tables. She also quickly delivered drinks, order, etc. Food was pretty good, I got a build your own pizza. Tasty, dough is made fresh on site, but not the best I've had. I was initially concerned by how large their menu was but the restaurant executes it well. The pizza was good, but a little more sauce and more generous topping application would have made it great. I've seen this mentioned in other reviews as well, please turn your ceiling vent fans down. I was wearing a jacket and was still feeling cold!
