The store manager Christian is incredibly rude ! Her barista name started with an E a young man in a puffer sweater took my order, didn't apply my discount and then forgot the item I paid for. This is the Starbucks at Goldenwest and McFadden. This SBX location was an odd curiosity when it was first built a few years ago, the boxy square brown wooden box looked out of place in the parking lot. But alas, people (including myself) have gotten used to the place, and quickly found out that "The Box" is located in a very convenient drive-thru spot. I can't really give a full 5-star rating since this store lacks a proper (cozy) indoor area like most other Starbucks. Still, I've found that this SBX is competently-staffed, the baristas tend to get my orders right most of the time. I've found them to be a bit more friendly and accommodating than the other stores I have frequented. Here's a tip: if you come to this place during rush hour and the drive-thru line is long, just park your car in a parking space next to this spot, hop out of the car and order through the window. You will get your drinks much faster than the long line of cars waiting to get their drinks, and because you are ordering from the barista face-to-face, there is less chance of a mixup (misunderstanding) with your complicated frap order. read more

Came to order a iced green tea latte and was given a hot latte. So I asked them to switch it for me and I also repeated my order again. Order came out again and it was an iced coffee. I thought he didn't hear me, so I told him that the order was wrong and repeated my order for the third time. They took my drink in and added the green tea powder to the iced coffee that they gave me from earlier. Yes, it was green tea this time, but it was mixed with coffee. It was definitely not the green tea latte I wanted. The drink was freaking brownish. At that moment, I was in a rush and didn't take a sip, but after driving away, I tried my drink and it was not what I ordered. Never thought I'd Yelp Review a Starbucks but then again, why not? As a lover of coffee but someone who actually should not drink them because they trigger migraines (weird, I know), I've found Starbucks to be the only espresso I can drink without a headache. Add on a drive-thru option, and it becomes perfect for on the go. Each time I visit this particular spot, it's always friendly and fast, but there's one ongoing issue. While efficiency and speed is key in this field, I'm all for taking a few extra seconds to ensure that the cups are not messy. Every time my cup is handed to me spilling milk, cream, caramel, coffee, etc. and it's super frustrating because the last thing needed on our way to an event or work is to deal with a pile of napkins and stains on out clothes. Even when the cap is closed, it's clearly closed atop overflowing cups and then it soaks up in the lid's rims and spills all over the car and cup holders and lap. Even on hot drinks, they're sticky and messy. Other than that, no complaints. It's definitely a top friendly Starbucks, always greeted with smile and wonderful attitudes. read more

I frequent Starbucks. Like a lot. At this one the drive thru is ok. The walk up is ok, and the outdoor seating area would be pleasant if they didn't lock the bathrooms hours before they close. I feel like it is counterproductive to have to call in and make sure they have what it is I am ordering! On 2 occasions I have ordered on my app and shown up with it not ready because "they were out." I preorder 10+ minuets ahead of time to make SURE it's done and ready when I walk up. Giving 3 stars because the barista made my order incorrectly, and because the line was slow due to the girls being chatty about how much there wages went up (.25 cents apparently!). Thank goodness this is next to my college campus and they work quick. I am always looking for a pick me up and what is better than coffee from starbucks! Great people here, they've only messed up my drink order once and it was most likely my fault, but when I told the girl she was super polite about it and apologized profusely. At Starbucks I did not have a good experience. First they gave me two lids on top of each other, causing a clogging sensation. To top it off, the lids weren't even on! No pun intended. Then, the hot chocolate spilled all over my new shirt. They also put whipped cream on my hot chocolate when we specifically said NO whipped cream. I went to the Starbucks on 15388 GoldenWest Street in Westminster, ca. I order a venti with extra whip. What I got was a frappacinno that was fill up only 60% of the way. When I order a venti frappachino, I expect a venti size frappaccino, not a grande. They didn't even offered to remake my drink. What I got was an attitude from the shift manager 'Francesca' telling me that its normal to cut the coffee when someone order extra whip. She never apologize for cheating me on my drink. I've visit Starbucks a lot and this is the first time in 15 years that I feel cheated on my order. All I wanted was extra whip cream on my Frappuccino. Is that too much to ask? Every time I come to this Starbucks location there is always something wrong with my drink. The orders are either messed up or the drink is completely made wrong. I had to make two returns for my drink because the first time it was made incorrectly and the second time it tasted like pure water. It's a pretty convenient location. Thankfully, they stopped using the creepy new camera that allowed you to see every facial blemish in high definition of your barista. As you struggle to ignore the giant face staring at you from a menu they ask "does the order look right on the screen?", and suddenly your staring at a smiling barista who you know feels just as awkward as you do over making eye contact with a total stranger over a computer screen. It's like being forced into playing chat roulette. The staff has always been polite. There are definitely a couple of issues that drive me to the coffee bean down the street. First the drinks are hit and miss. Rule of thumb, try it before you drive away. Second, there is no priority for walk ups. It seems to be run on the same system as the drive through. So if there are 7 cars in the drive through and you walk up to the window, you will see that 7th car drive off before you even if your alone at the walk up window. Third, there's a male employee that likes to flirt with girls in the drive through. I've been caught multiple times watching him talk post transaction for 10-15 minutes. The last of which was a double whammy because not only was I forced to watch this man work on his libido, but then the drink was wrong. read more
