I think the term lifestyle center is applicable: inside, there was a mix of people--some working on laptops, others spending time with friends, and a few (like me) ordering to go. I enjoyed my coffee drink; but more importantly, the overall atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was friendly, and my order was prepared quickly. I'm no stranger to Philz but this location was conveniently located in the shopping center across my hotel. I'm a fan of their early open hour and their pastries - but specifically love their cheese jalapeño bagel and almond croissant. However, for today's visit, I just opted for coffee only. I usually get an iced honey hazy with light oat milk and light honey -- topped off with cocoa powder. I ordered for pick up and it was ready before the scheduled time. The inside was super clean and they were fully stocked. Thank you for making this another successful Philz visit :) the consistency is hard to beat. Absolutely loved this matcha! The flavor is smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced--not too bitter or overly sweet. You can really taste the quality of the matcha, and it has a fresh, creamy finish. Philz is my FAVORITE go-to Coffee Shop. I am a Philz- Fan wherever I go.I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Philz just across from my destination in Bella Terra at Huntington Beach. Of course! I stopped by! I love the colorful mural around the shop. The branch here has relaxing and welcoming vibes. The shop is spacious and has indoor seating. They have fresh baked goodies same as other branches. Although the shop was busy, we got our drinks very fast. The service was very convenient. The baristas were nice and friendly. I ordered caramel banana brew and spiced vanilla. The coffee is constantly aromatic, fragrant, rich in flavor, silky and refreshing in every Philz branch I go to. I love Philz and it has been a few years since I had been. I decided to stop in today since I was in the area. I ordered a tiramisu iced coffee with almond milk and lightly sweet. The tiramisu iced coffee was the perfect balance of sweet and bold. It was topped with hot chocolate powder which created an interesting contrast of flavors. I mobile ordered for 10:10 and my coffee was ready by then. The barista showed me where the pick up. The inside was pretty empty. Several places to sit in a bright atmosphere. the drinks are always yummy, the inside is clean with lots of seating for studying/work. the employees here are a bit unwelcoming though. came in around 9:30am, there were three girls in the front that just stared at my brother and i after we walked in, no greeting or smiles. stood at the ordering counter with no acknowledgment until one of them came up and took our order. i almost thought we came in while they were closed...the guy making our drink was really kind though, i appreciate them letting you try your drink to make any adjustments before you leave. i'll have to order online if i ever come to this location again. read more

I love this store so much (I wonder why). My most recent experience was incredible and it was so good to be back! Georgia who I had never met before was so kind and made our drinks so delicious. Kat and Kole were great warm faces to see! Loved catching up with them and I miss seeing these peeps everyday! I'm super stoked to see the direction the store is going. I found Philz while visiting during a work trip. We do not have any Philz shops where I am from. The interior has the typical vibe of a coffee shop. There are about five small tables. There are some food and drink options near the register. Although I did not try any of the food, some of the options looked appealing. We were immediately greeted when we walked in by the friendly staff. I asked the cashier for her advice on a light roast option and she recommended the Dancing Water. The coffee only took a few minutes to make. Man, was I surprised by the great taste of this coffee. Hands down beat my typical order from Starbucks. I'm so happy that they opened a Philz here! This Philz Coffee is in Bella Terra at the old Peet's Coffee spot and it just opened a couple of months ago. It's not a huge location and only has room for about 5 or 6 small tables and seats to match, but it's a central location in a busy plaza that needs a good coffee place. Like at all Philz, you can customize your drink with type of milk/cream and sweetness levels. If you are unsatisfied with the taste your barista will gladly adjust your drink or make a new one for you. Mint Mojito - I get mine creamy and extra sweet and they made it perfect. It's like a coffee mint lolly treat, with pound mint leaves at the bottom and a couple of fresh sprigs on top. My drink came out fairly quickly. Yay for more Philz! read more

Does it taste better then Starbucks? Yes... Does Starbucks have a better menu? Yes... Does Philz have a drive thru? No... So here's my final review of our tryst. If Philz had a drive thru, I'd be loyal to him. But since he requires me to fight for parking in this hellhole of a shopping center (Bella Terra), I'd have to say... I visited the Huntington Beach Pacific City location, and let me just say -- they never fail to amaze me. The coffee is that perfect mix of bold and sweet. Not overly sugary, not too bitter -- just really high-quality, smooth coffee. You can tell it's the real deal, especially with the hot drinks. Nothing cheap or watered down like you might get elsewhere (looking at you, Starbucks). I will say the iced coffee CAN taste a little too watery for me personally, (weird ik) but it's not a dealbreaker. Still quality coffee that will have me sippin' it down. What really stood out, though, was the staff. It's a crew of mostly young adults, and honestly? I expected it to be kind of standoffish (it's HB, let's be real), but nope -- they're so attentive and friendly. Made the experience even better.
