Consistently great Starbucks location. Even though there's a good amount of turnover, the baristas are always top notch. Service is routinely fast and friendly. The thing I like most about this branch is that they take the time to make my drink properly. I often order long shots, but many locations don't run the shots that way, despite my instructions. I'd say I only get long shots about 10% of the time. Anyway, here they always let the shots rip for the full amount of time and you can absolutely taste the difference. Good job for never cutting corners on my drink. Five solid stars from me. I really hope we can move past the pandemic and get back to sitting and drinking our coffee in the shop. Alas, on my last visit, the life had been sucked out of the place. We couldn't use the loo. The staff was uninspired. And we couldn't even sit outside... I've frequented this location several times, and the best thing I can say is that both my quality and service are consistent. It can be hard to review any Starbucks location, because any customer knows that the time of day when one visits is a major factor in speed, and sometimes quality and service. This location is on a small street corner in Yardley Borough. It sits among a few other restaurants, stores, and bars along the main streets. Most of my visits here have been during off hours of the day. I haven't come during the morning or afternoon rush. Across the board, employees are friendly. Some are nicer and more accommodating than others, but I can't say that any of them have been rude. Almost every item I've come, I've gotten my consistent Starbucks order. This entails a Venti Iced Oatmilk Chai with half of the chai pumps and half of another syrup which I alternate seasonally. Speed of service is usually less than 7 minutes, which I think is solid for any Starbucks location. I've sat in here only once, as my other visits have happened on the go when I've been in the area. The seating area at this location has a pretty homey vibe. They have a few larger lounge chairs, similar to what you'd find in someone's living room. They have additional tables and a large bench across an entire wall that serves as a booth section for each individual table. Not every table is clean, but you can't always expect that considering how frequently customers are in and out of Starbucks. The one criticism I have to give is that the trash areas and cafe floor can certainly be more tidy. Overall, this location is solid. I rarely find any Starbucks location to be exceptional, not do I find most locations awful. The parking here somewhat limited at the actual locations, as there are few spots with a 15 minute limit. However, there is plenty of parking across the street that serves various businesses for customer parking. I wouldn't run to this location specifically, but it's a good one to be in and out of if you're on the go during off hours of the day. read more

I love coming to Starbucks after a walk from Morrisville to yardley! But I was there a few days ago, and imma say if you can't read or are to lazy to read you shouldn't be working at a Starbucks. I had this guy (larger, scruffy beard, can't read for the life of him, probably new), remake my drink because he forgot to add the cold foam... he could have just added it to my drink, instead he remade it but didn't read my ticket all the way because it said "no ice" and he added ice, it also said x4 berries and he didn't add berries and no peach juice like i asked. At this point it's been 20 mins, and I wasn't gonna ruin his day by being a Karen and asking him a 3rd time to remake it because it's wrong. I love this Starbucks! I lived in Yardley for a while, and this is my go-to coffee/study spot in the town. There is plenty of seating, and it doesn't get too loud, so it's easy to focus and get work done. All of the baristas I have dealt with are great. They are super friendly, accommodating, and have been extremely helpful with suggestions if I'm not sure what to order. I'm not a huge coffee fan, but I've tried almost all of the fruit teas/lemonade-type drinks, and they've made me many different flavor combinations to try out. The parking lot is pretty tiny (4-5 spots, I think). If you haven't been there before, I'd recommend parking across the street in the shopping center with the CVS and a few other places. It's easy to walk across the street, and there's plenty of parking there. I would 100% recommend this place! read more

My happy place. Parking is terrible & it is hard to get a comfy chair, but every customer is treated like royalty. It is crowded often throughout the day, but you will always get a perfect drink. If you aren't 100% satisfied, they'll make you another. Justin is a fabulous barista! He's never too busy to greet you by name & to make suggestions when you want a change. Everyone knows what Starbucks offers at this point, so I am comparing this location to others. The parking lot parks four cars and is super cramped so you will most likely need to find parking on the street or one of the neighboring lots. It was impossible to get a seat and the people that were there looked like they were camped out. There was literally a knitting club there that had earmarked about 20% of the store's "real estate" to sit and chat and knit. Very annoying since I just ordered a Chai tea and had no place to sit. The person who served me was polite enough but if you are looking for a place to sit head down the road to the Starbucks in the Kohl's shopping plaza - - better energy and lots of seating. read more

Lovely to look at, but impossible to love. The setting alongside Lake Afton is as pretty as a postcard, but the 3 car parking lot is ridiculously inadequate. It makes a difficult traffic location that much worse, forcing people to focus on parking rather than driving. Double and illegal parking happen every day, creating a dangerous condition. Amazing that the Yardley government permitted Star$$$ to do this. The coffee is the same as everywhere else, which to me is poor to average for the basics, but decent if you fall prey to the insidious upsell pressure to go latte or capp in order to be able to imbibe the burnt tasting brew. The facility is pleasant once inside, with windows facing Main Street or the lake. It is also a front row seat to the near miss accidents that routinely happen there. read more

Decent Starbucks. Very small parking lot, maybe 5-6 spots. Behind it is a huge Lake & in the winter when it's frozen, it turns into an ice rink. Kids and adults alike, play hockey and twirl around from morning till sunset. They all pile into Starbucks to warm up after, so it's always busy during the winter. There's about 10-12 tables/chairs down one side of the store. There are four leather club chairs by the front window which are a coveted spot. Across the front there's a counter top with some stools. Two big, clean bathrooms in the back, with baby changing stations. The place was clean. My particular barista couldn't have been nicer! There's also additional seating out back, overlooking the scenic lake for the warmer months. The only thing missing is a fireplace. The Newtown location has one, which makes it my favorite location. But, they closed today 1/7/18 for 3 weeks of renovations!! Ahh!! Now, I have to get my caffeine fix someplace else till they reopen. I adore this Starbucks. I don't live in the area but I come to Yardley every few weeks as my parents still live in the area. The location is great right on Lake Afton although parking can be tough. Staff is super friendly and seem to know their regulars quite well. They do a great job of creating that third atmosphere experience (not work or home but the local hangout). I placed a mobile order through the Starbucks mobile app and paid for it through the mobile app on 6/17/20 for pickup at the Yardley, PA 19067 store at 1 North Main Street. When I arrived at the store I went to the mobile pickup area and told the server behind the counter I was picking up a mobile order and gave her my name. The bigoted person behind the counter scowled at me and yelled at me that I needed to go stand in a social distancing spot over near the door of the store on the other side of the store . There were no other customers in the pickup area and I was the only one there and I was practicing social distancing and I was wearing a mask which covered both my mouth and nose so there was absolutely no reason for the rudeness or anger displayed by the employee. I saw my order being brought out by another employee and handed to the rude mobile pickup counter person who put it down behind the counter and walked off (it was not placed where I could pick it up and she did not tell me the order was ready). A few minutes after the order was brought out I approached the mobile pickup counter again and asked if it was my mobile order that had been sitting there for several minutes and was already getting cold. The counter person proceeded to lie to me and say she didn't have any orders for pickup and that I should go back over by the door and "practice social distancing" and wait (mind you, I was the only person in the mobile pickup area). When I pointed to the order which was sitting on the counter in plain sight right in front of her and said that yes she did have an order to be picked up and it was sitting right in front of her (and it had my name on the bag) and I once again told her my name, she then lied again and falsely said I had never told her that I was there for a mobile pickup and proceeded to argue with me before finally handing me my breakfast sandwich which was already getting cold by that time since it had been sitting there on the counter for several minutes. This is the first Starbucks location anywhere in the country where I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing an employee who was extremely rude, openly lied to me, displayed anger and argued with me, and apparently didn't want to serve me because of my appearance. FYI, I did raise a formal complaint with Starbucks corporate on 6/17. read more

While this is a national chain, one would think it would have better sense to locate a store that enough parking and was easy to get in and out ( whether on foot or driving ) this location has neither. How many times do I have to order decaf before you already have it brewed? I wish your coffee was awful so I wouldn't be compelled to drink it. I could just go to Wawa and be happy with their so-so brew. But no, your fabulous Java (not that house blend, it is awful, I refer to the good stuff, Verona, Sumatra) makes me try again and again. Yet I am thwarted, every time. When I order it's like I'm speaking in tongues. A new word from this stranger, 'decaf'. What could it mean? Then the penalty for my individuality is meted out. The location is key to the success of this coffee shop. Not far from Washington's Crossing, Bristol, Morrisville and such. The layout is nice with lounge chairs and a high top bar in the front. Tables around the side in the back along with an small outdoor deck. The staff is knowledgeable and are efficient with their sense of urgency to the customer. Free wifi (as with most Starbucks). I visit a lot of coffeehouses in the greater Philadelphia area and this is one of my staples. So yeah I like it because it's solid not necessarily because it's a Starbucks. read more

What is different about this Starbucks is that it's situated next to a lake. There's outdoor seating, and it's got a nice view. However, the parking is terrible. There are only four or five spaces on a tiny stretch of asphalt next to the shop, and the parking is terrible if you enter the lot from the "wrong" direction. Exiting is also a nightmare. read more

Hey it's a Starbucks. Hard to tell them apart except for the staff. They do a rotation between Newtown and Heacock road. Starbucks embodies the ultimate McDonaldlization of society. Regardless of your staff you can always for the most part get what you want and it taste fairly similar. I.e. friers on the right levers on the left. So what I'm saying for an organization that is not franchised, who really runs them. Typically it's going to be your students and possibly mid level managers. Customer service is paramount. I think the idea for many customers is they like to build relationships and see that familiar face at each location consistently of the staff. I've noticed that both customers and employees seem to be discouraged when they are store hopping. It feels good when you walk in welcomed by your first name and they know what your order is. I think that a Starbucks cared they would stop the movement and allow those relationships to form. Their sales would increase their ability to upsell would increase as well. It's all about relationships folks. I give three stars not because of the staff because of the executive management that does not value this type of relationship. I believe training is the underlining cause. Which probably breeds inefficiencies if someone does not want to move as the incentive is to excel to run the store. But this is only for the short term as Starbucks has a high attrition rate as this is only a stepping stone. read more

This was the first time I've ever come to this Starbucks, but I will be sure not to come back. The poor barista working was left all by herself while her partner was in the back doing who knows what. While they weren't incredibly busy, the woman before me had placed a rather large order. The barista then called her partner out from the back for some help. He asked what drinks he could get started on for me and my friend. I placed my order for an iced green tea latte and he gave me the wrong size. There is quite a size difference between a grande and a venti but the price difference is small so I'd much rather have the venti and get the bang for my buck (considering more than half of it is full of ice anyway). Then he hands me the cup which is basically milk that he threw the matcha powder on top. He did not mix it at all and handed it to me. The girl barista quickly pulled the drink back and said "Umm this needs to be mixed" but by the time she said that be had already run to the back room. He definitely was not a trainee, I would have had patience for that. He was just in a rush, depite the fact that there were no customers in line behind me. I honestly would have rather waited a few more minutes to have the woman barista serve me than to have this guy. He made me feel as if I was wasting his time and an inconvenience to him. Overall I'm a bit disappointed because the store itself is nice and the woman barista was nice, but the other barista really set a bad first impression for me. read more
