Ive stayed away from trying this place for years, mainly due to the mixed reviews. We stopped by for lunch as we were in the area. Typical weekend crowd, only saw couple parties waiting, took our name to be added for the list. Surprisingly was not that bad of a wait. 30 min was more like 15. Place is clean, typical sushi spot. We ordered several rolls, and edmamae. Thats what makes or breaks it for me. Service was good, no complaints servers were nice and made us aware of some specials. Gotta say after trying the food, it does not deserve the poor ratings. Not sure what people expect when eating here. Food was fresh, rolls come in a variety, nicely sauced and tasted fresh. I like when you walk in they have a Japanese style booth eating areas. The service was awesome, and the chefs did a great job of communicating With you as they made your food. There were so many sushi options. I didn't know which one to pick. But I think we did a good job of picking some great ones. I recommend the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi along with the crispy rice with spicy tuna to start off. Then you can order the volcano roll along with the Loja role, and the hungry roll. It just tasted like instant ramen does, but with some extra ingredients in it. I was expecting it to be better, especially for the price. Regardless I still enjoyed the meal, the service was okay. We came on Valentine's day so it was really busy and we didn't get someone assigned to us to take our order for a while and we were being helped by various staff when we needed something. But this was expected. We had to wait a while to finally get our bill at the end. But it was a holiday, so I will come back again and try more.
