Horrible service. Had to ask servers multiple times for basic needs, the are clearly either overworked or understaffed. Poor cooks are trying to work fast and keep up. Called before to ask about seating and TV to watch sports games going on said they could accommodate us and then they put us in a corner where we could see, asked to be moved one waiter said and we started to then another said no that they had a reservation but guess what reservation never showed smh . We wanted somewhere quick to eat before tackling the lines at Portos, so we stumbled upon this place. The service is quick, and the place is big with ample parking. Best friend ordered the udon, and I got the spicy ramen. Her udon noodles were overcooked, while mine were uncooked. We also ordered some mango roll to share. While the roll was good - you couldn't really taste the mangoes. Best friend said she would rather have a slab of fish ontop instead. Their rolls are good but their ramen tastes like a bag of noodle soup you buy at the grocery store. Quite frankly the one at the store seems to have more flavor. If you come for ramen go somewhere else. First and foremost, do not dine here with multiple people. If you do, then break up the check with the lowest amount of people possible. I ate here with my good friends and when we got the check we were surprised that our total was more than 10$ over our total amount. Why? Starfish Sushi adds an 18% "gratuity" charge in their total. I'm down for a 15% recommended tip, if service is good. However, when I got my food last night I didn't get my drink untill I asked for it, but the food was good. On my 1st visit, I was not impressed. I had the mango passion (I believe that's the name) and it was bland, warm and boring. There was no explosion of flavors in my mouth which I'm used to when I eat great sushi. I decided to give it another try and on my second visit I had the 911 roll, jalapenos poppers and the lunch bento box. I must admit the 911 roll was delicious, spicy and fresh. The poppers were ok. Wish they had a stronger crunch to them. The price of the lunch bento box was very afforadable for the amount of food they give you. Everything was tasty except the spicy chicken. It was awful! It left a bad taste in my mouth; stale, rubbery, smelly etc.. I would come back and try another roll and hope for the best. Price is moderate and decor is nice. Great Sushi yet Worst Service EVER! Like come on people. They completely forget your order & don't care when you remind them

This is my latest go-to sushi place. This place serves alcohol and it's local unlike my previous sushi place. The alcohol selection is 'meh' because personally, I do not like beer or their plum wine. Their food is very fresh and delicious. You can taste it when you eat it and their orders are accurate and frankly, amazing. We always get the garlic edamame which is pretty much life changing, to say the least. But there's is no different than any other I have tried, but other sushi places don't even have the option of different flavored edamame (based on my experience). The only reason why I give this four stars instead of five would be because of the service. The service is super friendly but pretty slow. After we got our food we probably didn't see our waitress for another hour or so. Leading up to ordering and getting food, the service is FAST, which is great. But after that, you never know when you're going to see the waitress again. Last time, we didn't even wait for the waitress to give us our check, we just went to the front and asked for it and paid there. Maybe that's what you're supposed to do? But the negatives don't outweigh the positives, obvi. Every time we go, we just plan on a leisurely dinner. read more

Overall I was disappointed. The Thai tea was perfect and the jalapeño bombs were great. We ordered a fire salmon roll expecting it to be flavorful and spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. First the presentation was poor and not like the image in the menu. It needed soy sauce and wasabi. I preferably don't like to use either on a speciality roll but it was necessary for me to enjoy it. Was my first time, but they had a lot of variety which I loved. Service is ok could use a little improvement. I ordered the creamy shrimp rock for an appetizer, it looks cooler than it is, it's shrimp tempura drowned in spicy mayo on top of greens. But the jalepeno bomb was delicious. Wow, this place was awesome. You know how sometimes you go to a sushi place and they give you either quality sushi but smaller portions or you get quantity and not the quality you expect? Okay, well, this place gives you quality AND quantity along with great service. It was the best overall sushi experience I ever had. The staff was super accommodating (we were a party of 7 with two babies) and helpful in entertaining our babies. And we ordered 8 rolls and they all were ah-mazing for a variety of reasons. The manager was totally visible and made it a point to stop by often and check on our table. And she was so welcoming. Really, I would come back here over and over again.
