I want to start by saying that our waitress, bartender, and the staff who greeted us were wonderful. They were friendly and attentive, our drinks were great, and we enjoyed two of the three food items we ordered. We did not enjoy one appetizer and returned essentially the entire dish after our waitress told us we could swap it for another item. We ordered the replacement and enjoyed it. However, when the bill arrived, we had been charged for both the returned dish and its replacement. What should have been a simple billing conversation became an incredibly unpleasant interaction with management. Instead of calmly explaining the restaurant's policy, the manager became argumentative and dismissive, repeatedly walked away during the conversation, rolled her eyes, and ultimately mentioned calling the police over the disputed charge. The issue was never whether we could afford the item. It was the principle of being told we could swap a dish, returning it, and then being charged for both--followed by an unnecessarily hostile response when we questioned it. After the bill was paid, the interaction became even more uncomfortable when items were abruptly removed from our table and placed on another table with enough force that a glass was knocked over. I have lived in Atlanta for nearly eight years and have dined at restaurants across the country. I have never experienced management handle such a minor customer-service issue with this level of hostility. It's particularly unfortunate because the other staff members were excellent, the drinks were good, and we enjoyed most of the food. I had actually planned to return with family and friends. After this experience, however, I cannot recommend Zanzi Bar. Excellent frontline staff, but the management experience completely overshadowed everything they did right.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the hostess, plus a very inviting bar behind the stand. Prior to coming, we needed to change our reservation and they were happily able to accommodate. It was everyone's first time here, so the server explained how their menu works and what are the popular dishes. We started with the seasonal Thai salad, Smokey cabbage and pork belly. Our server put in the incorrect order, instead of the pork belly, she put in the chive fries, but she happily comped this due to error. Out of all the apps we tried, my favorite was the salad and actually the chive fries. Salad was fresh with corn, tomatoes, snow peas and the dressing was nicely salty and a bit spicy. The chive fries are reminiscent of chive pancake but cut in long strips, shaped like fries, though I found the sauce it came with too sweet. For our main entree, we all shared the chicken satay (my personal favorite and that satay sauce was to die for), crab fried rice (flavorful but found the old bay seasoning a bit too overpowering), whole market fish was trout that night (loved this was topped with a fresh salad) and crying thaiger (I didn't eat the steak but the grilled okra and the sauces were delicious). All of the entrees came with jasmine rice, but there's an option to get sticky rice and garlic rice for extra fee. I thought this was a good meal and our server was great. We found service to be a bit slow, but they were pretty busy. It got better towards the end of the night as people were leaving. They also gave free dessert as someone in our party was celebrating their birthday.

I didn't really get much and I think I just got some French fries and bought something but I wanted to see what the layout looked like. So this spot does get a little crowded depending on when you go. They do have parking but it's very scarce in the front and they have valet in the back. Just be aware that on a Saturday night you may have to work parking out somehow. Now they had some drink specials posted everywhere. This was actually a good spot to check that out because they have a lot of variation of it. You can see a couple of those in my pictures. The last time I was there they had live music so let me just back up for a little bit. They actually have a stage area where you may go and see some live entertainment and a crowd around them. What's nice is the stage part has its own bar so you don't have to keep running in and out of the food hall to get drinks. They have an outside play area for kids and it's kind of like a green turf situation so you can sit down and let them play. They have seats there and they have seats outside on a covered patio area as well so there are options for seating. Of course they're sitting on the inside and the seats there are not available. They are decent even if you don't count the bar itself. The bar is a pretty long bar so there's plenty of space to sit there. It has a lot of liquor options and it has a couple of TVs so you can actually watch a game or something along those lines. Overall if you're going to head to downtown Roswell, this will be a pretty decent spot to grab a bite to eat because there are a lot of options there. They have Italian, Mexican, cheese steaks, and other things that you can pick from. I do plan on actually going and trying all the things at some point in time but I just did an initial walkthrough. But this does look like it's worth my time to go back.

I tried to ask questions of the headphone wearing kid working there. He tried not to acknowledge me and was greatly annoyed when finally he had to. I ordered the spicy chicken ramen and it took 30 minutes to come out. When it finally did, it tasted like grocery store packaged ramen with grilled chicken and canned corn. The only option is to order via a screen, which asks you to leave both a tip and a donation for no one to speak to you. We got the Cajun seafood dip from the creole location. It was delicious but almost $20 for 4oz of dip with chips out of a bag. You could make 10x the volume of this at home with some rotel and Velveeta for the same price. The loaded tots and chicken strips with fries from the tavern were ok. I wouldn't seek them out. The chocolate milk shake was actually a vanilla milk shake with one squirt of Hershey syrup. The only item of note that we ordered out of the almost $100 spent there was the green chili vodka Bloody Mary. It was good because it was vodka with ZingZang bloody Mary mix and fresh lime juice. It did not have any sort of horseradish or Worcestershire or any sort of fun garnish, including even celery for $17. If you're going to this venue for live music, eat before you arrive.

10/10 -- An Experience We Won't Forget!…read more What started as a completely random, spur-of-the-moment stop at Canton St Social turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, our hosts Lay and Katlyn were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They immediately made us feel comfortable and set the tone for the entire evening. I even asked for something that wasn't on the dinner menu -- crème brûlée -- and instead of simply telling me it wasn't available, they made it happen! That level of service says a lot. But I have to give a special shout-out to Tony and Amelia. These two absolutely made our night. Tony made some of the most amazing drinks, and every cocktail came with a little bit of a show and personality. He wasn't just making drinks -- he was creating an experience. Amelia was just as impressive. She had great knowledge of the menu, but what really stood out was her personality and conversation. She was personable, funny, engaging, and genuinely made us feel welcome. By the end of the night, you would have thought we were old high school friends sitting around catching up after not seeing each other for years. That's what separates good service from a truly memorable experience. The food and drinks can bring you through the door, but the people are what make you want to come back. Lay, Katlyn, Tony, and Amelia -- thank you for turning an unexpected night out into something special. Excellent food. Amazing drinks. Outstanding service. Even better people. We will DEFINITELY be back very soon! Will the GM!!

I came in on a Saturday for a 6:15 PM reservation for a party of four. I arrived first on time and my first guest arrived at 6:20 PM. I was told I had to wait till the rest of my party arrived. I set at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party. My friend approached the hostess stand to ask if we could be seated as a party of two . Also, advised the Mexican girl that it will be only 3 but, we don't have to wait for her cause she's not gonna be eating since we're on a time schedule and was attending an event. The hostess was very rude and dismissive, stating "that's not how it works" in an unprofessional tone. Later, another hostess came over and said our reservation had "run over" at 6:35 PM, even though we were already in the restaurant before our reservation time window had passed and there were clearly open tables available. The restaurant wasn't packed at all. When we asked again about a table for two, we were told we could either sit at the bar or wait. The interaction felt very unwelcoming and unprofessional. We told the hostess we wanted a table for two to sit down and eat . The black hostess said , so you want to stay at the bar or you want a table . I said a table. She said , the bar ‍I said no a table. She then said that they could refuse service if we had an attitude, which was not the case . I simply answered her question by saying no . Told her I didn't know that saying no is me having an attitude. At that point, we chose to leave and not spend our money there due to the poor customer service and the rudeness of the hostess. Overall, the staff we interacted with on June 20th at 6:15 PM were rude and unprofessional and clearly need better customer service training. Based on this experience, I understand why there are so many negative reviews.
