I went to talk to the front-end person about some of the pricing and was offered a free car wash. I took them up on the offer and was pretty pleased. I am a member of Sierra Car Wash's monthly program, although their machines are starting to age, some of their employees seem like they don't want to work or be there and do a terrible job. So I was happy to see this place at about the same cost, with a much better and longer tunnel, longer wash time, all indoors, and also an area where someone could help you drive the car if needed. This place is so easy to use. Drive up, pick your wash, pay and pull up to the car wash. They do have detailing and other services. Vacuums are easy to use--hoses don't get tangled. They suck. I mean they are truly powerful. They also have monthly memberships. I think their price, $12 for a basic wash, is a deal. read more

This is the longest car wash drive through I've ever experienced! Definitely not missing a spot and is thorough. No wait to get through and only$10 for basic wash. Everything is newer and vacuums have great suction. Has the air sprayer too. My favorite thing is the self vacuum area is covered, so I'm not too hot. So frustrating! Went through and the dryers barely did anything, so of course I got out to dry it. Well apparently the rinse didn't do anything either because there was pink soap watermarks EVERYWHERE. Literally had to scrub them all off so they don't stain and it took 4x longer than the car wash itself. Notified the attendant the the car wash was leaving soap, he couldn't care less. Bummer to go through a car wash that leaves the car dirtier than before! Will not be returning :/ read more

My wife and I pulled up to this car wash. Having been advertised as a hand car wash. We were happy when we pulled forward and there were two people there ready to wash the car. However, we observed that the car in front of us got one little swipe with the brush on the back of it, and then was told to move forward. And then I go into a lane and my car is being driven for me through a machine car wash after going through the machine car wash, which I didn't want a machine car wash in the first place I see the little bay that says hand wash and I'm assuming that you just pay a lot more and then you pull into there instead of the machine wash, but it doesn't say that it just advertises hand wash. After going through the wash I get out and my car it's all spotted. There is soap everywhere. The extra five dollars that I paid for my tires to shine.....One of them didn't have anything on it and the other three had about a half to 1/3 of the tire covered. Horrible experience why would I pay $35 for a dirty car and why would I pay extra for something that was never applied or partially applied?? Definitely not recommended. When I got home, I looked at my receipt and it tells me that I paid eight dollars more for weather mat cleaning. But it appears that no matter which car wash you pay for, if you pay extra for your weather mat cleaning, you still clean them yourselves after the car wash is over, in their little bay with the vacuum. The wash itself was supposedly the platinum version for $22 and then I paid five dollars for tire shine and eight dollars for mat cleaning. $35 when I could've just did a spit shine on my car and have $35 to spend on something else. I believe all the good reviews for this place are from their friends. One last thing, there's another car wash that is very close to this one around the corner, that originally I went to when I really meant to go to this one. So then this time I went to the one I had originally meant to go to, and the first one was better. My apologies one more thing.... They give you a little air freshener that is supposedly new car smell, and you don't have a choice as to what fragrance you would like. The new car smell, has the same smell of something I would return to the dealer, if my new car smelled like that. It smelled like a hopeful batch of chemicals, with no hope in sight. I have been a member of many car washes over the years but none have ever done as good of a job as Starlight Express. Their prices are great for everything that is included in your wash. The people at the front who do the prewash and scrub really get in there and do a great job. Then you just sit back, relax and enjoy the show as you are escorted down the long car wash tunnel. The rollers are very effective at scrubbing off our Nevada dirt and winter road salt and the dryers are next level. We decided on a whim to vacuum while we were there and the suction was incredible, not your typical go over the carpet 30 times before you get it clean. Everyone we interacted with was also great and easy to work with. This is our new go too car wash. read more

We live near by here and we have never been disappointed by Starlight Express! From their most inexpensive to fanciest washes, they do a great job. The folks who do the initial scrub and rinse are fantastic! They really take their time and give you a good wash. They also have a super long tunnel that gets all the nooks and crannies. Their blow driers work great and they have the best vacuums in town! For us, there's only one place to get a car wash these days and it is absolutely Starlight Express! read more

First-time visit; I have an older Prius, your prep crew were the first ones that cleaned the smoked glass under the little spoiler on the rear hatch, which always gets pretty dirty especially after driving in the rain. Everyone sees this place from the highway, and I was curious to try it out. I've been growing tired of Sierra Car Wash and the long lines to get dried off. Usually. I just give up and leave. Starlite is physically located very close to a different car wash place, so make sure that you're on Stardust St. (by the highway) as you enter. I chose the monthly membership on my return visit and have been completely satisfied. My SUV's front is power washed and the long washing runway does a great job. At the end, someone is always there to dry off your vehicle, including the oft neglected running boards. Military and vets get a substantial discount. Just mention/prove that upon entering the tunnel and you'll see the discount the following month. That's fair enough. read more

We have been watching as the old bowling alley has been transformed slowly into this car wash, and noticed it was open today, so decided to give it a shot with our dirty car. We chose the 10 dollar wash, which I think is of great value, as it includes pre wash and towel dry with what looks like microfiber cloths. Car looks great, will definitely be using it more in the winter months as we get dirtier. The staff was super friendly. I never had to put my Tesla in neutral before, and had issues with that, but we figured it out. We didn't know going in that we were going to have a person dry our car at the end. I had no cash on me, and wanted to hand the guy a few bucks, and felt bad. I'll get you next time! Price : perfect, keep the value pricing, and you will do well. Quality : great wash My constructive criticism : Your car belt system is very narrow, and I have somewhat low profile tires, so if it hits the side, the wheel rubs, and I think it did some today. I had decided to try this car wash after the overwhelmingly positive reviews I've seen, and was disappointed with the results. The staff seemed friendly and my wheels came out looking great. The vacuums are indoors and had good suction. As for the rest of the experience, it was rather underwhelming. The brushes sounded like nails on a chalkboard against the paint, and was not able to pull out the deeper bug spots. There were more spots left untouched compared to other washes I've been through as well. I had paid for the platinum wash and was offered an up-charge for tire shine. read more

This was an experience. I got the mid level wash and it was thorough and done with double machines. The dryer was double as well. My car and the others in the bay sparkled. The vacuum could only be described as a sucking vortex. The suction was impressive. They offer thick microfiber towels to dry and clean your windows and there is a choice on where you vacuum, it can be a garage type bay that is shaded or an outdoor bay. This car wash has sadly elevated my requirements for a car wash. It was $17 for the wash. For how clean my car was, it was worth the money. read more

Locally owned and operated family business. Great staff. Great car wash. They use ph balanced detergent which is easy on ceramic coating finishes and closed cel brushes that don't trap dirt. I left Sierra after 3 years because their detergents and brushes were damaging the finish on my black F150. Something to think about if you value your vehicles finish. They towel off after the wash, something that Sierra only did if they had staff, which they only did about 50% of the time. Oh, less expensive than others for multi vehicle monthly costs. read more

We stopped at Starlite Express on our way through Reno. It is very convenient, right off the freeway. The staff was so friendly and eager to help us out. From greeting us with friendly smiles to offering us help with our wipe down. The car wash itself is pretty impressive. Probably one of the longest tunnels I have ever been thru with plenty of brushes (with cool fun lights). Our car came out so clean, it was actually shiny!! Couldn't have been happier. There are car washes all over, but Starlite's product and service definitely sets them apart from the rest. Highly recommend. Keep it up! read more
