Quite frustrated in the lack of attention to detail at this place. I had to point out a few spots that were clearly not addressed, only for it to barely be cleaned. I really wish this was a better experience as I had to go home and clean the console and more myself. Water spots and streaks still visible. I will unfortunately never come back here. read more

Was sad to see all the poor reviews of this place, so decided to check it out for myself as I was visiting from out of town and my car was in desperate need of a surface wash. If you're looking for a no-frills automated car wash, this is your place! Drove up just before 9 AM on a Saturday and there was only one car ahead of me so a very minimal wait. It was my first visit so wasn't sure where to enter (as you first see the full service area), but eventually figured it out and when it was my turn, I drove up to the self-serve kiosk to pay. I had received a free car wash coupon online (what a great deal!) so an attendant helped me complete the transaction by entering the coupon code on his tablet. I received a free exterior car wash which was exactly what I needed! -The attendants were patient and polite. -The car wash was quick and efficient, and instructions were clear. It was even fun with all the lights and I could see kids getting excited for this cheap entertainment! -I got access to 5 minutes of free vacuum usage when it was over. The only very minor complaints I had were: 1- the vacuum head fell off a couple times while using it, and it was a little wonky to put back on securely. 2- the vacuum hose was quite dirty and got my pants dirty as it rubbed up against me while vacuuming (pro tip: don't wear light color pants!) 3- I didn't see the self-serve towel area in the vacuum area until I was leaving because there were some big trucks in the way, but I did peer in and didn't see any clean cloths available - guessing if I needed it, I could have asked for more. Otherwise my visit was perfectly pleasant for what it was (granted, I didn't use the full service options which might have been what the predominant complaints were about) and I wouldn't hesitate to come back! read more

I found Hutch's Car Wash while I was in Reno for appointments, and the location couldn't have been more convenient. On my first visit, they were running a great promotion, $10 for the first month of unlimited car washes -- which was an easy yes. I live in Lake Tahoe, and driving over mountain roads (especially in winter and spring) means my car gets really dirty. Now, anytime I'm in Reno, I stop in, and it's always quick and easy. There's usually no line, which I really appreciate. The car wash itself isn't anything fancy, but it gets the job done. They also offer self-serve vacuum stations, which are great and easy to use. Every employee I've interacted with has been super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The only downside I've noticed is at the very end of the wash -- when someone helps dry the car. That part feels a bit unpolished compared to the rest of the operation. It's not a dealbreaker, just something that could be improved. read more

What a shame! A customer of Hutch's for years and had great experiences. Under new management every change has diminished the service, selection and quality. Today I waited in line for 15 minutes to get to the single kiosk (another change for the worse) only to be told they could not/ would not offer any full service washes, express only. No explanation and worst, no sign telling customers before they waited in line. In the full service finishing area were maybe 3-4 people, where there used to be dozens. Went in to speak with management but there was no one working. Now on the look for a new full-service car wash. If I have to do express there are options closer and with better service than the Wash Shop. read more

I paid $45.99 for the showroom shine their most expensive single wash package I should have just went and used my monthly Surf Thru Express membership and saved my money! After 4+ years of loyal membership, I will NEVER return to this car wash. I have been a dedicated customer paying $100/month for the highest-tier membership with automatic payments. Today, I was refused full service by the new General Manager (tall, bald man - goes by Perry or Mike). When I asked for an explanation, he completely ignored me and refused to discuss the situation. RED FLAGS I WITNESSED: REFUSED SERVICE despite active premium membership CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP without explanation or discussion REFUSED to provide corporate contact information when requested YELLED AT STAFF in front of customers - staff who have been there for YEARS and clearly know their jobs RUDE AND DISMISSIVE to multiple customers (not just me - 2 other members approached me to complain about his behavior) MICROMANAGING and disrespectful to long-time employees This GM treats the place like he owns it. His arrogant behavior and poor management are clearly why this location is losing both staff and customers. I watched him berate employees who have worked there far longer than he has. The staff members are wonderful - they deserve better management. But as long as this individual remains in charge, I strongly believe this location will continue to hemorrhage customers. Formerly known as 'Hutch's Car Wash.' It is now under new ownership I think within the last year. Since the transition, I have noticed great improvements. There is an automated kiosk when you pull up now. It seems there has been some confusion with the kiosks so there is almost always a staff member present to help patrons select what kind of wash they want. The Wash Shop still offers detailing, interior and exterior washes. I believe you're able to make an appointment for detailing other vehicular modes of transportation too. The owner is always there when I go, and he is very friendly and helpful. He has always given me a complimentary microfiber towel. The Wash Shop is also used by my place of employment to get cars washed. They do a phenomenal job! Even if you don't pay for the full interior wash, they have complimentary vacuums to use and a station with towels and wipes. read more

On way into car wash, guy directing me kept waving me forward and he turned to look at something else while hand gesturing me to keep moving forward. Loud crunch and my hubcap was gone. Car wen through and got out to verify hubcap was gone. Complained inside and another guy with his tesla was waiting for management due to valve stem missing on his car and flat tire. Manager came after supposedly watching video and told us to order 1 hub cap and bring in receipt for 1 hubcap for reimbursement. Hen he walked away? Now I live in Carson and it cost more than 10 bucks in gas just to go. Got no name, no agreement, nothing. This place was always packed and killing it. Not the same. Won't be going back. read more

Went to get my car washed today and the truck in front of me either the truck not loaded correctly into the rails, the driver didn't put the truck in neutral, hit the breaks during the wash, or the attendant didn't provide enough space between the vehicle to prevent them from running into each other. I had my car in neutral during the whole start of the wash. Halfway through the wash, the vehicle in front of me got closer and closer until my car was pushed into the truck. I hit my breaks so I would keep getting pushed into the back of the truck. Unfortunately, there was a car behind me. This car was placed also too close to me. Now I have the car behind me hitting me and the car in front of me. I am sandwiched between a Ram truck and a large SUV. I am driving a 4 door sedan. I'm being push forward and backward, being hit in the front and in the rear of my car. I'm being whiplashed back and forth in my car, unable to get out and stop what is happening! I felt trapped and hurt from all the back and forth throwing of my car and body. As did the passenger in the car, my fiancee. When I finally get out of the wash and try to ask what the hell happened, I'm told to talk to the manager. I don't get to the manager, some poor worker has to take my complaint and tells ME I need to call the police to report what happened. Recently stopped by for a quick wash. They have many, many options including interior detailing but they were all too expensive (upwards of $40) for us. We did the least expensive ($8) wash. The lady at the entrance was very helpful - as it was our first time we weren't sure how everything works. You pull up to the automated machines in front of the arm barrier and pick/pay for what you want. The arm opens and you drive up to the wash tunnel. Outside the tunnel, there were a couple people who gave our car a quick swipe (and perhaps guide you to the left if you purchased more services?). Outside they have self service vacuums, towels and glass cleaners. The vacuum we used was actually broken so perhaps they need to check the equipment. But it was nice it was available for use! read more

I try to support this business because it was Hutch's even though it is out of the way for me now. Sadly today is my last visit. The staff is friendly no problem there. The problem is the equipment. This visit, the process stopped during the drying so my vehicle wasnt even close to dry. I could have lived with that as I usually do some hand drying anyways. My biggest issue (which I have mentioned to the staff before) is the vaccums. They DONT have enough suction to be effective (I tried both side). Just not worth going out of my way for a service that doesnt deliver. read more

I had a great experience at the oil changers to get my oil changed. However, the whole point of this set up by Hutch's is for the experience. The good service, the place to "shop" while you wait. I went to get my car washed and paid $40 plus tip for a clean inside and outside... the woman vacuuming my car wasn't really vacuuming. She was throwing around the head of the vacuum "like" she was doing her job. There were still dust marks all over my dash and console. She was also very rude when I handed her the tip. I had been going to hutch's for over 10 years and never had a complaint. I am so disappointed in this service and I will not be supporting this business any longer. read more

I've been a loyal customer of this car wash for the past year and had been through roughly 30 times with my Jeep and my two other expensive cars. Up until this incident, I genuinely liked coming here and never had any issues. On my last visit, I specifically told the employee that I have a mounted jack and that the top brush needed to be turned off. He pushed back and told me it would be fine and did not need to be turned off. I even have footage of this interaction. During the wash, the top brush came down and hit the jack, forcing it into the side of my Jeep and causing significant damage to my fender. The impact was strong enough that I was genuinely shaken, and I could barely open my door afterward. I reported the issue to the on-site manager the same day, but was told the damage was my fault. I've since followed up multiple times, including speaking with management again and providing a professional repair estimate of over $1,000. Despite clearly raising the concern beforehand -- and being told it would be fine -- the company has refused to take any responsibility for the damage. I understand that modified vehicles can carry some risk, but when a customer specifically warns staff and is given the go-ahead, there should be accountability if that guidance leads directly to damage. This review is simply to warn others TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS CARWASH!!!!!especially those with aftermarket accessories or 4x4 vehicles: be very cautious. Even if you speak up ahead of time, you may still be held fully responsible if something goes wrong. It's extremely disappointing to have been a repeat customer and have a situation like this handled with no accountability. read more

Unfortunately went Hutch sold to the Wash Shop, the business went downhill. The tunnel does not do as good of a job, they use less soap during the wash and it's of a lesser quality then when it was purchased from WhiteWater Solutions (local business) and the vacuums are not well maintained. They have also gotten rid of the rear wiper blade protector and it has ripped my wiper off twice. Management has refused to take ownership of this issue and has instructed me to purchase a wiper assembly from Amazon, not the factory. The manager on-site was extremely unprofessional. I will be taking my business back to buggy bath. RIP Hutch. read more

Buff and dry? Try spray crap all over and walk away. Vacuuming interior? Nope, literally nothing was vacuumed. Waste of money and time. Sprayed a bunch of products everywhere on my car then walked away. The staff are too busy trying to upsell you on a membership to actually clean the damn cars. Took my brand new Honda pilot in for a top of the line car wash - not detail. Not expecting detail job but an appropriate wash with wiping down of all the crap they sprayed everywhere and vacuuming would have been nice. Spent nearly an hour and a half and $50 plus tip for this trashy job. That I am going to have to pay someone else to fix cause there's speckled product spots everywhere now. Very disappointed. Poor service. Poor quality job not cleaning the car. Will not be back. Manager and owners should be ashamed of calling this a service. If you're satisfied with this service raise your standards. Gone here occasionally over the years. Full service(?) Wash is now $45. Quality has gone down a LOT. The wash was worth maybe $20. A rinse with the garden hose would have resulted in nearly the same. It looks like they are changing ownership as the new sign says The Wash Shop. Probably won't go back. read more
