Without fail, their gyro meat laden tzatziki covered gyros always hit the spot. Next up, their Greek salad, I love the tzatziki that comes as a side as well as the Greek dressing. The salad itself has loads of lettuce, onions, feta cheese, and the whole salad itself has a ton of olives. It comes with a side of like a French bread and a good way, but I actually haven't bothered with it. Then they have their old bay fries! Crisp and spicy. This is actually a very popular item here. OK, and so this is a pizza place and I can say the pizza is pretty Primo. I discovered the Greek pizza today that was quite good with the meat and olives, and the cheese pizza has always been a hit with the kid. I've never eaten here nor have I seen the actual restaurant itself. But I'd be excited to go one of these days. But for now I'll just keep on ordering from here at least twice a month. read more

Starv'n Marv'n Family Restaurant has been a Klamath Falls, OR breakfast and lunch icon since they opened their doors back in 1997. The restaurant is noted among locals for serving one of the best breakfasts in town, and I hear their hamburgers are outstanding as well... As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a "faux chef" holding a "Please Wait to be Seated" sign, a board announcing the daily specials, and a smile from one of the friendly staff members. There is a long counter, and the kitchen is located to the rear of the restaurant. Corrugated metal seems to be he focal point of the decor, which is very attractive and somewhat unusual. You know you're in Klamath Falls when you're in the dining room, as "Klamath Falls" is featured on an overhead lighting fixture. The dining room is large, and features tables-only, and they're spaced quite far apart... possibly a leftover from the COVID-19 days? There aren't any booths... hope you like tables! The walls are painted with contrasting colors, and framed paintings and photos are hung on the walls for decoration. The dining room is well-lit from large windows, and is very comfortable and attractive. The fourth page of the menu lists "Breakfast for the Starv'n Marv'n," and that description fit me on this Wednesday morning in early July, as had worked up quite an appetite. I scanned the entire breakfast section of the menu - you can order from the lunch section if you choose - and my eyes landed on "The Klamath Farmer," and I went with that, as it seemed to be the "flagship" breakfast choice of this fine restaurant. From the "Breakfast for the Starv'n Marv'n" section of the breakfast menu, I went with "The Klamath Farmer," which headlined the second page of the breakfast section of the menu. Since today was my first visit to Starv'n Marv'n, and I was in Klamath Falls, this seemed like a great place to begin. The menu describes "The Klamath Farmer" as, "Double hash browns topped with two sausage patties and three eggs smothered in our homemade country gravy." This breakfast was HUGE, and was definitely fit for a hungry, hard-working Klamath farmer. The foundation of the "farmer" is a double helping of hash brown potatoes, which were perfectly deep fried to a golden brown on the outside, and tender, chewy-white on the inside. On top of the hash browns were two sausage patties, which were tasty, juicy, perfectly seasoned and tender. Next were three fried eggs, in my case, perfectly fried, over easy, as I ordered. The whole mountain of breakfast goodness was covered with in-house-made sausage gravy, which was thick, seasoned, and had lots of chunks of sausage. Thick, "Texas style" sourdough toast on a separate plate rounded out this amazing breakfast. Such a great breakfast, as everything was cooked to order, and simply delicious! This breakfast will satisfy the hearties of appetites - like my breakfast appetite - and will keep a hungry lumberjack, linebacker or rancher satisfied all day. I skipped lunch and just enjoyed a small salad for dinner. I recommend this breakfast! I absolutely LOVED my hearty breakfast, as it was perfectly cooked and delicious! It was so HUGE that I simply enjoyed a small salad for dinner, as it kept me fueled for the rest of my day. I have been back and forth to the bathroom ever since I came back from this place. The food that I ordered looked ok but the taste threw me off because it tasted old. I don't think that frozen fries are supposed to be sitting on the counter to thaw before cooking. Also, the onions had a weird aftertaste to them.... almost tasted like flowers or some other type of herb. Clearly the food wasn't covered properly or stored correctly because what I ate made me sick.... BIG TIME! It's now 6:20 am and I haven't gotten any sleep because of it. Never going back. Where else can you get delivery at midnight during the week? Starvin Marvin's may not be perfection, but it's worth keeping a menu of theirs around when you need some decent take out food. They have a great selection. We tend to stick with salads, sandwiches, and pizza. They have a whole section of burgers and Italian food on their menu, but I know I'm a bit picky on how this type of food is prepared, so I keep my orders simple. It's a no frills take out spot. My go to item to order is the Zorbas salad. It's a HUGE greek salad with both gyro meat and grilled chicken. The portion of meat on this thing is great, I often have enough for a full meal of leftovers. The pizza is pretty good here too. My personal favorite is the Big Fat Greek Pizza. Gyro meat and feta on a pizza? Yes, please. The cheesesteaks and cold cut subs are a whole lot better than a few of the other places in the area. Also worth noting - the bacon cheese tots. So good. Bring a friend (or three) along with you on this one. They give you a ton! *This place really doesnt have any frills when it comes to their customer service. They are pretty short on the phone and tend to put you on hold. It might even be worth just placing your order through Grubhub or Slice. I ordered food to be delivered. I asked the manager if they could put some of the toppings on the side. He replied that that was too confusing. He would just put them all on the side When it arrived, the sandwich looked like I had made it two years ago, not to mention there was barely any turkey or cheese, the things that he gave me to put on top were ridiculous. I ordered delivery on Doordash from this place a few hours before closing and I was neutral about my entire order all throughout. I ordered the Pepperoni Lovers Medium (14.95$) and the Wings Dinner (10.45) , we were bored and wanted to try something new other than Papa Johns. The pizza had like a cheese capsule on top and under had more pepperoni it was really strange as if they topped it twice in a pattern, it wasn't good but it wasn't bad either I could still eat it but I wouldn't go out of my way for a slice. stuck in my hotel tonight and ordered in to a thick accented fast talking Starvin Marvin Gaithersburg. Friendly enough but hard to understand I ordered a Pizza which came fairly quick. First off it was $22 bucks for a medium meat lovers with 2 cans of Brisk tea. No worries but a bit too high. Next I opened the box and it really didn't look bad but boy it was a lot like Domino's of Papa John's. With chewy cheese and chewy dough I am expecting not feeling very well tomorrow. Now I would have given them 2.5 stars because the speed accuracy and presentation but the pizza doesn't impress me. My advice is try someplace else. read more

I order from this place once a week for several years. Tonight I ordered my normal order. The delivery person when they were setting the pizza down took it out of the bag and help it sideways! I still,paid and gave them a tip because I'm not a monster. I was in shock! I gave them a hard time bout it. I came here yesterday for the first time ! Staff are friendly. I ordered the appetizers sampler. I like their mozzarella sticks. The breading is thick and not the thin ones. I ordered their quesadilla supreme which has veggies and jalapeño peppers in them! It is fantastic. It used to be mostly fine. But now the quality has gone way down hill. The fries and the onion rings always taste like they've been sitting in the oil for too long. They're just completely saturated with oil. And so that's all you taste. It's not particularly appetizing when the container it comes in has a puddle of oil at the bottom. They have THE BEST Old Bay chicken wings--I wake up in the middle of the night craving them! They are crispy and juicy, and so Old-Bay-ey? Not sure that's a word. The pizza is kind of doughy, but I love it that way. The gyros are made of meat from a spit (or at least it seems this way)--it is not the pre-cut frozen stuff. Also, because they have such a huge menu, everyone can find something they like. Definitely recommend this place, especially for a crowd. Starvin Marvin Pizza joint wavers back and forth for me on so many points + Just the name reminds me of early southpark when i used to watch all the time and LOVED every new episode. -Buffalo Wings sucked, not even close + 12" cheese pizza for under $9 - Cheese pizza has too much sauce, and a bit too doughy + Garden salad comes in a big square clear plastic box - Salads come with Ken's dressing, which is watery and disgusting + Delivery to the hotel room +/- I was in the shower since they showed up in 20 min when they quoted me 30-40 min - not really good NY style pizza + not domino's or pizza hut - comes with nasty garlic butter oil packet + sometimes comes with free stuff :) In the end, the meal of pizza, wings and salad was made palatable by a beer, and I might look for another local join to get a pie, but i still might stop in for a slice. This place is best for carryout or delivery, they have a few tables but mostly it's a great place for subs & pizza to go. They have everything you could want: Outstanding Subs and Really Good, scratch made, hand tossed pizza using homemade sauce that has plenty of garlic in it. I've been eating here for over 20 years and only wish there were sandwich shops as good as Starvin Marvin in DC & VA. Their crispy seasoned french fries are good too. I no longer live nearby so when I get a chance to eat there I usually get a Steak & Bacon Cheese sub, toasted, with American cheese. Their Gyro is also really good, so are the cold cuts and various unique subs. They get fresh sub rolls from Ottenberg's Bakers everyday. Really you can't go wrong with anything you order here (except Salads, This is not a place for a Salad). Also, I recommend their Meatballs. Meatball & Cheese Sub or Meatballs on their pizza. First off this place is a total shit hole....it's not pretty and it sometimes smells like old cheese. But then I think about all the shit places I used to eat in college, while stumbling home drunk at 2 in the morning. Yeah this place is way better than that. They have such a huge menu that I have not tried everything, but im pretty sure you cant go wrong with anything here.
