Finally had a chance to come out and try the nEw place in the neighborhood, unfortunately I wasn't impressed and in fact sent my food back, twice. We were sat down in about 10 minutes, not bad considering the place was slam packed. Service wasn't great, maybe due to being packed. Drinks took forever and so did the food. The Brussels sprouts and pretzel and sausage plates were really good. Once I got my meal though, and I'm not a picky eater by any means, but I refuse to eat chicken wings that are undercooked. Asked the server to take a look and she agreed and took my plate to the back. She returned with the same plate, same wings (I know since one still had my bite marks on it and a chunk of meat missing). I'm guessing they microwaved them or maybe put them in some sort of oven for a period. But that didn't work, still undercooked and completely mush. I asked her to take them back again and not to bother with it I wouldn't be eating them. The kids got burgers and were "meh", though the fries were good. Wife had chicken wrap, she liked it. I love having a true sit down restaurant in Reunion. Everything is the restaurant is nice, from the interior, the staff and their menu.

Great atmosphere bad service. This is the second time we've been here. The first time the service was terrible over a year ago. Thought we give it another try and the service was even worse. After we sat down no one came around to help and we left after 10 minutes of no contact with the staff. So sad to see this in an establishment like State House and I wanted to like this place but there's so much room for improvement here. Hope it gets better as our area needs it. Very expensive for what you get. After wrong orders the last two times, we gave it one more try. Wife got turkey instead of chicken in the Caesar salad, and I added instruction to please add additional Caesar dressing on the side. Gave the new restaurant in town a shot today. Been looking forward to it since options are limited in this area. Went in at about 3:30 on a Sunday and were sat quickly. There are TONS of of TVs so would be great for hanging, drinking a beer and watching the Broncos. Service was friendly and fast. Food was fine. I got an impossible burger which was basic and got a little soggy on the bottom, but the patty and fixins seemed fresh and tasty. I got a side of sautéed kale and spinach that came with it. It was completely unseasoned and a little disappointing but edible. The bacon brussels sprouts app was what you'd expect. I'd get it again. My wife got a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup and enjoyed it. We weren't drinking so we both got sodas. I ordered a Roy Rogers that tasted like cinnamon with no cherry and flat Coke. At one point a staff member (manager, I assume) came up to ask how the appetizer was. We let him know it was good and I mentioned the Coke was a little flat. He responded as he was walking away that it was carbonated but he would get me a new one if I wanted. ‍ They'll do fine for a while because they're new and there are not many choices out this way, but they'll need to step up their game on food and leadership if they don't want to go the way of so many other restaurants out this way. read more

Disappointed with three young useless hostesses, no sense of urgency to help, one person bussing tables and the manager was just as useless. 3 out of 5 restaurant fail within 5 years - this one will be one of those three. We had horrible service. Unacceptable with the waitress hanging out with her friends at a table for 15 minutes while we wait for our ticket and drinks. Why would anyone want to deal with that and a limited menu? We'll head somewhere else next time. I moved here from California in March 2020. Because of COVID-19 I hadn't been able to go to the restaurant. I had a business meeting for a partner coming from North Carolina. Took them here. Terrible service. We had to constantly remind the staff to bring us flatware, drinks, and dishes that were ordered. None of the staff wore masks. One server seemed sick yet sat right next to my husband to apologize for his meal not being prepared. We were charged for drinks we didn't order and had declined and full price for the dish that was brought out late and undercooked. There was an abundance of staff - most were just standing about in the half empty restaurant - so we couldn't understand the reason for the bad service other than that every one seemed deeply unhappy to be working there. read more

This place stinks, it smells like an unclean gym when you walk in. They need to bleach and clean something. They have good drink selections but not a good food menu. They don't have blinds so if you sit on the bar side at the wrong time of day you eyes get turned into burnt eye sockets. read more

I've been here on two different occasions now. Both times the food was absolutely disgusting. The chicken and burgers had a horrible burnt taste to them. Each time something was wrong with the order. Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. Firstly, the restaurant stunk. The kitchen is open to the dining room and you are immediately overwhelmed with a mixture of smells. Onions, beef, fish, pork, fries, all coming at you at once. I would invest in a better ventilation system. Secondly, the menu is very very small. Burgers mostly and three "entrees." Not a single STEAK on the menu! Did the owners even do a trial or focus group to test the menu? We had a chicken burger and a hamburger. Honey Mustard Chicken burger looked burnt but maybe it was supposed to be "blackened." No mention of that menu.Taste 6/10... Slopper burger was basic. What green chili? Burger was dry, no slop. Taste 3/10. Service was mediocre at best. Order multiple drinks if you expect to stay satiated throughout the meal. We may come back in a year to see if things have improved. read more

Plenty of seating and overpriced food/drink menu. The place was empty for the most part but it still took someone a few minutes to notice us waiting. We tried State House tonight. I have to say it was a horrible experience. My wife ordered the Colorado style burger well done with tator tots with cheese. I ordered the Sloppy burger well done. All the plates of food I've had have been really good, exceptionally fresh. Bartenders make good drinks and it's a nice open atmosphere.

Jenia is a fantastic server. We have two young children and she went over the top to make sure our kids were happy so we could enjoy a meal. We love the wings and burgers. My family and I have been to statehouse twice. I have had the lamb dip and a bacon burger. Both times I was satisified with the food and would go back. The service on our second trip was less then would be desired; different server and less busy. I would recommend however and see myself eventually returning. read more

A. Literally not a single bartender smiled the whole time. Not once, not to new customers or even when bidding them farewell...B. Got the pretzel and sausage appetizer. Was really good other than the sausage being cold. C. Beer was flat...that's a big one for me. D. Second beer we ordered, someone that wasn't serving us, swung by dropped them on the table and left. Literally. E. Long line at the door which is good for business on a Thursday evening, but tables and parking are sparce. F. Menu is very limited and despite Statehouse sounding like Steakhouse...there's no steak. The good... A. There are 29 TVs for the sports enthusiasts. B. Our waitress was very nice, professional and smiled a lot. C. Bar/Restaurant ambiance feels good and welcoming. D. Bathroom was clean. E. Dinner was a cheeseburger with fries and had a side house salad. Both were good with fresh veggies. Ranch was a little watered down so get extra. Fries were crisp. F. The restaurant is nice. The servers were pleasant. It seems like they are having some trouble with cooking the proteins, though. Went there over the weekend, my chicken breast was charred - completely dried out and stringy. Went back tonight. I ordered a sirloin - medium. It was completely raw. They took it back - along with my fries - and brought me a sirloin that was completely back - and no fries. It's would be a great place it they can straighten out the cooking. read more
