Seems to be a lot of people moving around but usual is 10 minutes to put in an order and at least 1/2 hour to actually get your food. Don't know how you could get lunch in a business lunch hour. The food was good, maybe even better than good, but. I ordered a bowl of soup, a burger and fries. The wife had french toast with goetta and strawberry jam on the side. I kept waiting for my soup and after about 10 minutes, looking at the waitress, she asked if I wanted my soup now. She finally brought the soup. It was very good. About 3 minutes later, the rest of our food arrived. The wife's strawberry jam was missing. Had to get another waitress to get it. This place seems to never change--still a nice little swatch of Americana that seems to be frequented by the locals. I had the Hungry Man's breakfast and WOW--what a deal it was. Three eggs, goetta, hash browns, toast (with homemade jelly) and what they called a "small" order of biscuits and gravy that by itself covered an entire separate plate. All that for 10 bucks--dollar for dollar, probably the cheapest breakfast I've ever had. Service was a little slow, but we weren't really in a hurry--pouring down rain outside. Before going to the Creation museum we stopped for breakfast. The reason why we stopped was they had the regional delicacy named goetta. Ok before you pass this place up because of its outside appeal I urge you to take a chance and dive in to see what this place is really about. If your looking for breakfast or lunch or brunch this place is for you. Make sure you get here early as they close at 2:00p.m during the week and 3:00p.m during the weekend and it's a full house the entire time. Super friendly staff and meals the size for kings. Today I had the hungry man breakfast, 3 eggs choice(I had sunny side up) meet to choose from goetta, Cajun goetta, bacon(soft,medium and crispy), ham and corned beef hash. I had both types of goetta with hashbrows or homefries and biscuits and gravy. Needless to say I didn't finish it all. Will DEFINITELY be back. read more

i rated it not worth it in my opinion. here are some of the problems(get this was my boyfriend and i's first time going): pancake was burned on one side and not cooked on the other, hash browns were supremely greasy and wet, we didn't get offered a refill one time, server was absent(she was literally talking to a couple a seat away and didn't bother with us anymore for the time), didn't get what we ordered and they seemed dismissive about it even though they voided it, extremely overpriced(honestly just go to waffle house) because the food, the service, was just horrible. i usually don't rate places but this has been stuck on my mind and i didn't want other people to feel the same. just do not waste your time and money going to this place. read more

Stopped here for breakfast with the hubby the morning after the Baylor Trucker's Appreciation Dinner. What a great find. We got here around 830 am on a Sunday. Plenty of seat yourself seating available. But I overhead the waitress say they'd be lined up out the door later this morning. Hubby had the everything omelet without hash browns and toast. It was huge and served hot and fresh. I had a biscuit with homemade jellies and a single biscuit with gravy. I was stuffed after eating half of each. Definitely a place worth stopping at if you're in the area. It's not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is clean and servers are attentive and friendly. read more

However, Traveling from Cincy back home to Indy, we did enjoy the scenic route getting here and going home. Service - (1/5) : The staff acted like they've never worked a Sunday breakfast before. They were arguing with one another and were openly distressed about what seems to be simple tasks. It took 30 minutes to even get our drinks and order taken down. Luckily, we were just Sunday drivers headed back home in no rush. However, I did notice a gentleman picking up food to go that had to stand waiting for well over 45 minutes for his food. The staff/owner were kind to us though. I ordered the country fried steak which came with eggs, toast and hash browns. I was finished with my country fried steak well before the rest of my food came to me. Food/Drink - (5/5) : Okay, look past the building and suffer through the service and you get one of the best home cooked breakfasts you'll ever have. Again, I ordered the country fried steak that also came with a massive amount of food and my wife ordered the biscuits and gravy and the loaded potatoes. It. Was. Absolutely. Delicious. Atmosphere - (3/5) : This place was a mad house. My wife and I enjoyed the comical chaos but I know that most don't prefer that. Especially on a Sunday morning. Today was the second time I walked out of this establishment. The first time was simply due to growing pains and I was understanding. Today was for the COMPLETE lack of service from our waitress. It was not the first time she has provided our family poor service. Today after an hour my wife asked a long time employee to check on our food because EVERYONE who can in after had been served! She asked our waitress who looked back to our table and my wife waved like "remember us". She came over with no apology just "yep I don't know what happened I'll get your food right up"and then asked for our order again. We selected this place based on the Yelp reviews. They were very busy so service was (understandably) very slow. That wasn't a huge issue, because they were slammed. We waited about 15 minutes before we got menus. We waited another 30 after we ordered. A couple of our orders were not correct when they arrived, but we were not about to ask for them to be corrected! We were never offered refills, which would have nice for the coffee. The biscuits and gravy were awesome! Highly recommend! Apparently the 2 chicken strips my son got (we were told there would be 4) were really good. We had a most interesting experience for our brunch entertainment. People in the kitchen were screaming at one another using lots of profanity, not once but twice. It was shocking and awkward and the whole place fell silent. Then the server was apparently not happy about staying because she dropped an f-bomb or two out in the middle of the restaurant. There were several families in the place so it was just in poor taste. Definitely a memorable experience for our family and we were able to laugh it off but if our kids were younger, we would have probably gotten up and walked out. read more

They were slammed for Sunday brunch. It's a family owned business, and they were busy working tables. The interior reminds me a bit of the local bowling alley where I grew up - like I said, greasy spoon I had an omelet with hash browns. Both were very good, and the servings were large. My daughter has eggs, sausage, and funnel fries for her meal. She said the sausage was good, and she loved the funnel fries. My wife tried the open face roast beef sandwich. She said it was also good. Worth a drive to check out just for the retro feel of the place, and a nice change of pace for Sunday brunch. read more

Definitely not much from the outside. There's an auto shop in the same strip mall with the same brand, Stateline. Definitely a family operation. The servers called one another mom and grandma and they were all very nice. The food was great. Typical diner style menu with enough options to make everyone happy and enough flexibility to make your meal feel personalized. I ordered a Hoosier omelet without meat (onions, peppers, shrooms, and hashbrowns) and a biscuit on the side. I enjoyed the all the veggies, cheese and hashbrowns that were promised on the menu! The food was piping hot and satisfying. The shadowy, silhouette of a man I sneak around with all the time and I'm glad to call mine ordered the hungry man meal. The "small" side of Bs&G that CAME with his meal could have fed a small army. They were not your ordinary biscuits. The light and fluffy texture gave them a cake-like consistency, however the thickness of the gravy complimented them. Gravy could have been more flavorful, not as salty, spicy, or meaty as we would have preferred. But it was tasty and complimented the perfectly cooked eggs and bacon. The service was timely and the prices were totally reasonable. If we are ever in Lawrenceburg, this will be our go-to bfast joint. The few things that knocked that fifth star off were aesthetic: the seat I sat in was a little crummy - like the seat wasn't wiped down after a toddler had his cereal in it - they were not very comfy and the table was set a bit off which made for an awkward eating angle.
