Seriously the people working behind the counter near the cakes and premade salads need to do their jobs. Every time I go there there's 2 or 3 employees yucking it up with each other and flat ignoring people at the counter who want to order. After several minutes of standing and waiting to be acknowledged someone will come from the back of the other side and help. It's almost laughable how bad the customer service is here. I have been shopping here since the store opened, and I have to agree with some of the poor reviews. I remember most of the staff was very polite and helpful for many years. The last few years I have noticed a decline. They used to have the best prices, but now Vons and most other stores are the same or less. I also agree that the new "updates" have not made this store better. ONE entrance/exit is ridiculous. It is small and crowded... not an improvement. I also agree that self checkout would be a good idea, because the express lane I was in yesterday was the slowest line, and the older man (checker) was in NO hurry, and I felt like he couldn't care less that I was waiting which seemed like forever, while he had a looooooong conversation with the 5 year old (and parent) in front of me. If I would have noticed they broke up their order into two (the mom and 5 year old) so they could use the express lane, I would have avoided getting behind them. The checker then proceeded to be rather unfriendly almost rude to me. I will be avoiding this store as much as possible. read more

I love this deli! I come weekly for salads and sandwich meat, and the quality is always fresh. But what really keeps me coming back are the workers. Leeland and Jacob are fantastic! They're always engaging, humorous, and actually seem to enjoy their jobs, which is rare these days! My husband and I always look for them when we shop because they make the experience so pleasant. Good customer service is hard to find, but these two have it down. If management is reading this--give them a raise! read more

I shop at a few diff Stater bros stores depending on where i am on that day. Today I was in the store on Limonite / camino real. The store was very busy for some reason. while all the staff is usually very nice one person stuck out , his name tag reads Jesse. He help me find something i needed and then because checkout got busy He opened an additional register to help lighten the lines. All while having a big smile on his face. I have seen him a few times in the store and he is always this way. Ready to help with anything that's needed and so welcoming and focused on his job. This is the second time I've bought something, got home and realized it's moldy!! These sausages were just bought yesterday! The other thing was sliced cheese. Absolutely disgusting. I am only giving 1 star because you have to select at least 1 to post review. I am an avid shopper at this stater bros since 1984. There is only 1 checker that seems to have a huge attitude problem, Marilyn. I do not know why. I have never been anything but nice to her, but she apparently has issues with me for some reason. This morning, my interaction with her makes my skin crawl. While putting my few groceries on belt, she looks directly at me, says Hi and rolls her eyes at me! I say to her I'm only in your line because your the only cashier right now! She checks out my 3 items and very rudely asks if I want a bag. For 3 items I really don't need one but I say yes, and she let's out a loud sigh. Why?? Like I said before, I do not know why this one particular lady has such a big problem with me! Its baffling. I have reviewed this place before but I just keep having awesome experiences with the staff. I want to give a shout out to Elijah in the front and Leland in the back. Both these dudes are super helpful and kind. From Elijah wanting to talk to me about my day and Leland assisting me in the back with getting things from the deli and just being a funny and fun dude while doing it. You guys rock. I live in between a few Stater Bros and this is the we go to the most. The store is clean, well stocked, and the food is always fresh. The staff is always polite and helpful. I went to a different location that was on my way home today and left without buying anything after not being helped at the deli. I drove past my house to this Stater Bros. Jacob, in the deli, was super helpful and friendly. I told him I was frustrated because I was told at the location that they wouldn't make me the family sub that get regularly. Nothing crazy, just turkey and provolone with whatever it usually has, but no tomatoes (my kid won't eat anything that has had tomatoes on it). He asked if I wanted anything else on it and made some suggestions that sounded good. He made us a great sandwich. This tired and hungry mom is very grateful to Jacob for his help read more

I bought a Rideye Roast and had it cut into steaks, when I got home to vacuum seal them I realized that they were not cut the thickness I asked for, I'm very hesitant about returning food, but I decided to return it anyway. The Manager that Sunday morning was a younger man (Dillion) and was Very helpful and I could tell he wanted Me to be Happy about my purchase, he took me to the meat counter and introduced me to Josh the (meat manger) and Josh picked out a new Ribeye Roast and had it cut perfectly to my liking. After I received the roast Dillion re-bagged it. I bought some other items and told Becky (cashier) (I always go in her line) because she is so cheerful and helpful, and told her about My Roast story. I come here out of pure convenience only because I happen to live nearby but I will torture myself no longer by avoiding this store as of today and I encourage everyone to do the same. Almost ever worker there is rude and seems very bitter to work there . One very kind always pleasant young lady named Mandy is the only exception, she is a delight always. Everyone else seems to hate their job . The meat department is run by mostly stoners along with the baggers. Out of all the Stater bros. in the area this is by far the most run down store , the worse vegetables ever . I even found a slug in my lettuce once. And their meat has black chunks of styrofoam I'm sure that's not healthy. I will no longer shop here . I dump nearly $300-$400 weekly on groceries here but now I will travel further out just to avoid this store. I'm done with this place . read more

We will continue to drive out of our way, passing 2 other Stater Bros, including the brand new one on Arlington and Van Buren, to go to this location. Why? Because of the outstanding service provided by Francisco in the meat department. We love to BBQ and he has been very knowledgeable in what types of meat we are looking for. went in for a quick run of groceries with my partner, and at the deli I was met with immature workers who would rather talk among themselves than actually provide good service to a guest. I asked for our deli cuts to be done thinly and every time the worker showed us it was exactly the same, a standard deli cut. it reached a point where I just agreed so we could get along with our day. I know what it's like to work in a deli and seeing things like the conditions of how the slicers were in, shows someone really needs to reevaluate who they allow in there to work. read more

I've been a shopper in this store for the past 20 years and the direction of this store is concerning. First, I know a few of the managers by name Jackie, Anthony and Brad are amazing and I always enjoy going to them for help, they've been helping me for years find groceries I need as well as special orders. Most other employees look worn down and no customer service. Lines are usually long in the evening times. The management team above at this staters is the only reason I keep coming back. I also asked for Rob on Friday and was told by a cashier he no longer works at this location which is unfortunate but makes sense, he was a great smile at this store. Love this market. Wish we had more markets in competition though. Because it can get quite pricey. Can't say too much more. Nothing extraordinary other than your typical clean supermarket with a decent selection of food items. Constance seriously now the person that complained about it being old is quite correct. Look at the stores in Pedley, Mira Loma, Rubidoux, and off Van Buren at Jurupa Rd. Then look at your Murrieta store off the 215 and Alamo Rd, or the one in Rancho Penasquitos and both those stores are more modern because they were built new or refreshed. Giving the shopper a pleasant experience shows you care about your customers. read more

I had a pretty great shopping day here. The thing that impressed me was the different new fruits and veggies they had. Pink pineapples that i had never heard of. Something called a "cherrymoya" i think. and a personal favorite that i ended up buy a full bag of was the cactus pears. The staff in the section went above and beyond to give me recommendations about stuff i'd never tasted. im loving the new items they carry. The meat section has the great taco meat on town. i always go here for their meat. i use it for when im grilling for my fam to make tacos. read more

This review is on behalf of my spanish speaking mother. She visited the store Saturday on the way to an event in the area. This isn't her usual store, so she was unfamiliar with the layout. Since she speaks only spanish, she is somewhat hesitant to ask for help. Seeing that she looked lost, Javier approached her and asked her in Spanish if he could help her. She was able to get exactly what she needed. The young man was very helpful and courteous. She was very impressed with the how polite he was. Most kids his age are not very polite and helpful. Customer service I horrible here. The kids at the checkout spend so much time talking to each other then the customers. You say "thank you" they say "mm hmm" never "your welcome". They look made hike ringing you up. The young ladies are the worse with the snappy attitudes. Someone needs to do a mystery shop day and come in on purpose to be rung up to see how their associates treat customers. Walking around the store you can see how staff won't look you in the eye and avoid you so you won't ask them for help. I had a small child with me and even my child noticed that the customer service at checkout was short, snappy and rude. You would think we had an altercation or something with the way the young lady treated us. This is my favorite Stater Bros. It's not the closest one to my home but it is the best one! I shop there at least once a week. It's always clean, the employees are friendly and very helpful. The manager Rob is great! I usually see him in the store with a smile. Whenever I need an item they don't have on hand, they order it for me and call me when it arrives. He must be a really good manager because the employees seem happy. When I was there today the young man who helped me unload my cart, pack my groceries, and loaded them in my car was AMAZING!! The customer service in this store is AWFUL!! Today will be the last time I shop at this store. The rudeness of the employees is ridiculous. I worked for the company for eight years, twenty years ago. The customer service expectations were very much emphasized upon back then. Employees were not allowed to carry conversations in the check stands with each other. I had to interrupt on a conversation between three employees to ask a question about a product that was not on the shelf. Then, I had to get out of a gmc's way as he very rudely cut me off. Never bothering to say, "Excuse me". It's like he was raised by gorillas in the jungle or something. Another two employees were pulling a cart with no regard for the customers. It was all about you better get out of the way!! No consideration for those who help us keep our jobs. I'll shop at the Jurupa store for sure! read more

I just recently moved from Corona/ Dos Lagos to Riverside/ Jurupa coming from an uprising community where everything was fairly new to Jurupa Valley Riverside area in an older community. I have 3 Staters Bros in my area, 2 on Limonite and 1 on Rubidoux which are all very old. I shop at the Staters on Limonite and Camino Real, it's the nicest one of all 3 but I seem to have a lot of issues with the produce, every time I pick strawberries I look through 3-4 boxes finding mold or mushy fruit, the avacados are either all hard or all ripe (mushy and too ripe). Once I was in the store early in the morning, the produce guy was filling the vegetables and I went to grab asparagus and I noticed they were dry and the tray they were standing in, which should have water, was also dry and I made a comment to him which he replied in defense of his job stating that it was broken and leaks and he doesn't have the means here to fix it. I was surprised, a reply of "sorry about that, we will try to fix it" would have pleased me. One last thing I have noticed at this store is the cleanliness of the 2 restrooms located in the store. I am currently 8 1/2 months pregnant and also have a 16 month old toddler, every time I have entered the restrooms, they are both disgusting, dirty, pee all over the seats, no toilet seat covers and no changing room for kids in either one of the restrooms. A new 2018 law has been passed and all establishments, especially as big as Staters Bros should be aware and have changing tables installed for all moms and dads convenience to take care of our kids needs. read more

This store was always very nice to go to. Always could find what u needed. But after Covid-19's hit it has changed a bit but not their fault. Workers are still very nice and caring. The worst I see everywhere is the people that come in and fun out with carts of food stealing. But that seems to be in all stores around here.
