Here ye, here ye, step right up but make sure you have a reservation first! This hot spot had a line 15 minutes before opening! We were smart to get there a half hour early putting us second in line for no reservations. Although we weren't able to snag an inside seat we were accommodated outside in the misty patio area. They promptly opened the umbrella for us along with providing thick blankets to place over our laps. Or server Ronnie was the best! He was able to direct our taste buds for drinks and menu choices which I always love because I'm an indecisive Aries. I opted for a coffee drink that had orange in it which was surprisingly good. Their speciality coffee drinks seem to change with the seasons so come often if you find something you like. I also had the avocado toast that was sprinkled with seaweed. My girlfriends had the potato pancakes and the traditional breakfast all very tasty. Everything is farm to table so if your entree doesn't come with their homemade biscuit add one because it's perfectly paired with their in house jams and such a treat! This was the perfect kick off to our girls day date and I can't wait to come again! Enjoy.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch with a party of 4 to celebrate my friend's bachelorette. We waited about 20-30 minutes for a table, and the seating was a bit tight. The menu has a nice mix of Hispanic- and Asian-inspired dishes, but it's definitely pricey--even the avocado toast was $22, but that's expected in Carmel. I really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts Caesar, which was fresh, light, and a great portion for 1-2 people. We appreciated the complimentary champagne for our celebration. Service was just okay, but overall it was a nice spot for lunch.

What a lovely restaurant! We had a delicious breakfast. We ate at the bar... There usually is a wait. Make reservations if you can. The menu is over the top delicious, diverse and very gourmet. Service is great. Attention to detail. I ordered the Avocado toast! Thick delicious with very creamy avocado toast. A wonderful yet pricey breakfast. Enjoy and Bon Appetite!

Popped in on a Saturday AM, it wasn't too busy, made resy's on Fri afternoon. Checked in at the host stand & were seated shortly after. Outdoor and Indoor seating. Service was not the best, we couldn't get water refills. After asking our server (2x). Had to ask a random employee for our check. We noticed our server tending to other tables--but from seating to ordering got checked in on maybe once(when we asked for a refill--wasn't busy). Cinnamon Roll: (Off Menu item?) 5/5 bites, absolutely incredible, no words, well, wait- the texture was just what I want in a cinnamon Roll, crisp, soft moist, the carrot, the icing-YUM. We took the remainder to go after only having a few bites and let me tell you, we had some the Next day and it was still Great, even maintaining a slight crisp in the bun. Chilaquiles: 3/5 bites Red chilaquiles with chorizo, there wasn't really any chorizo in there, asked for salsa and it was ok. Nice space in Carmel, would return for the cinnamon roll but take it to-go. Just a tip: Parking can be tough in town so plan accordingly and make Reservations!

We are visiting Carmel for the weekend and decided to check this place out for dinner (couldn't get a reservation for brunch). It is a cute spot nestled in between buildings and has both patio and inside seating. We brought our pup and took patio seating. It was cold BUT they provided blankets and heaters! We got the fruited sour and I got the Porto Branco. The drinks were great. Sour was great and PB was perfect. We had the sourdough bread and butter to share as well as the farmers salad with avocado. The vinaigrette was fantastic, the bread was soft inside and crispy outside with the perfect bread to butter ratio (we had extra butter left over). My husband got the lobster roll which was good (not the best) but the brioche roll was great and very filled. I got the King Ora salmon which had complex flavor with miso, pepper and the cabbage was fantastic. For dessert we shared the basque cheesecake which was amazing. It was more creamy and went well with the blackberry. Service could be better but was still pretty good and we would come back again to get brunch!

We came to try their dinner after one of the servers mentioned they serve dinner now... Wonderful friendly service & beautiful aesthetics. The local Ad Astra breads are yummy! Hamachi crudo was fresh & balanced. Cavatelli pasta was a bit too al dente and dense, but the fixings were delicious. Lobster roll ($48) needs more flavor (should have read the reviews), and the double burger is huge! Overall very pricey (see website menu for current prices), and the dinner entree menu options are pretty limited. For the high prices I would want to be wowed by every dish and flavor, and to have more options, to be enticed back.

Came for a late brunch and everything overall felt underwhelming. The strawberry jam was very watery, and for $27 for the plate, it seem overpriced. Granted this is also one of the cheaper items with more food. The biscuit was delicious, but nothing special about the eggs or bacon in terms of flavor or textures. Trying more of a variety of dishes may be worth it, but I would say nothing stood out for a "nicer" brunch place.

Looking for a spot in Carmel-by-the-Sea? Stationaery is a must-visit. We stopped by for breakfast and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home as soon as we walked in. Tip.. don't try and get in early though :-) As for the food--it was excellent across the board. I ordered the Potato Pancake, which was perfectly crisp and flavorful. My wife went with the Breakfast Plate, a solid and delicious choice, and our friend tried the Ceviche, which was fresh and bright. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted even better. Highly recommend, perhaps a little Instagram trendy and a tad too much tourist tax but I couldn't fault the delivery or the content !.. Thank you ....

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! From the plethora of outdoor seating to the cute greenhouse in the center of it all, we can't wait to be back here again. This incredibly dog friendly restaurant had the best customer service we have received from a restaurant in Carmel in quite some time. We had originally planned to be by for breakfast, but opted for a quick coffee and pastry instead. This allowed us to enjoy brunch. On a Sunday morning they were packed, but we came towards the end of the breakfast rush and were seated immediately with our dog in tow. She ended up being the star of the show - more on that later. The hostess Maddie, was welcoming and efficient with all of the busyness around. We also met another woman and aren't sure if it was the owner or the manager, but she and our dog Stella became the greatest of friends. Every time she would walk by she would say hi. There were other dogs on the patio and they were all well behaved. The menu consisted of breakfast and brunch options, and even a small dog menu! We opted to share the breakfast plate with some extra eggs and fresh OJ. The eggs came scrambled with chives and were fluffy and not overcooked - they were perfection. The three slices of bacon were plentiful, and the star for me was the perfectly homemade biscuit and jam. We haven't been to Carmel in quite some time because it has become increasingly popular and at times difficult to walk around. This experience ignited something in us and we can't wait to be back. Throughout our service, our waitress was very attentive. She also gave the top recommendations of what to order when we first arrived.

Food was good. I enjoyed their breakfast plate and my husband enjoyed the short rib and eggs. He raved about his plate, mine was solid. Service was good, the hosts were very kind and personable. However they did forget the ticket for our coffees and we didn't get our drinks until we were done eating. It was pouring down rain as we were seated in the glasshouse and it was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, minus the forgotten drinks. I would've cancelled my drink order if I knew we wouldn't get it until the end.

Food was good. Service was terrible. Coffee was cute but weak. Hard pass. For not being busy the wait staff barely came around. I dont the ovwr priced items if it come with service to back up the price. Not again.

The fish and chips is the ultimate meal. The burger was savory, soft and creamy just he right amount. It perfectly paired with the Talbott pinot noir they recommended. The only comment is make is the amount of French fries that were served with the burger. The plate was a lot larger looking because a sparse amount of fries was served alongside. Maybe add a little more next time just to balance it off. The servers/bartenders knew their stuff. They provided what they could in terms of what was popular and well liked. They said both items we ordered were the most popular. The fish and chips have won best fish and chips 3 years in a row. I would agree with this since I usually am not wowed with this dish. I couldn't resist ordering a dessert. The applied tart with vanilla ice cream was so satisfying. Overall service, food quality and experience was very good. Nothing catastrophic happened, but it felt like we were inconveniencing staff rather than being welcomed. We experienced multiple instances where basic hospitality was lacking. At meals, we often had to ask for water, request the check, and follow up on things that should have been proactive. One evening we came downstairs for dinner around 8:25 PM and were told the kitchen stopped taking orders 30 minutes before the restaurant closed. While that's certainly their policy, it wasn't communicated beforehand and the interaction felt more dismissive than apologetic. There were several small moments like this throughout our stay. Individually they may seem minor, but together they created an atmosphere that felt awkward, rushed, and inattentive. Given Carmel's reputation for hospitality and the price point of the hotel, we expected a much warmer and more polished experience. The inn itself has a lot of charm, and we enjoyed the area, but the level of service simply didn't match the setting or our expectations.
