I've been here a few times because it's so close to the Arena Stage, and Station 4 tries to be the upscale option in the area since there are so few options in the area. I came here once for dinner before an event and had a good time. We had reservations for a large group and they accommodated us quickly-don't you hate when a place takes reservations but then acts like they don't know what to do when it comes reservation time? Didn't happen here. The bar makes a decent old fashioned and the lamb was decent. My second visit was for the bottomless brunch and I got the sirloin steak and eggs with duck fat fries. I'm glad the mimosas were free flowing because the steak was on the smaller side and was pretty bland. I usually don't like to dress my steaks with anything more than salt and pepper but it needed an assist here. A little underwhelmed with brunch. My last visit though went well. A large group but dropped in without a reservation, during that weird time between lunch and dinner so it was just the Happy hour menu. The food selection was limited but good. The Die-Hard burger was pretty good. I was surprised by it, figuring it would be a little slider type deal but it was a pretty juicy, well done burger. The wings were surprisingly good as well and our server/bartender was friendly and attentive for a guy who to come all the way around the bar to check on us in the front. Why would anyone go out of their way to come here? I just don't get it. I mean, I come here simply because it's a couple of blocks from my apartment and there really is nothing else in the neighborhood yet ( and they have free WiFi), but I just don't understand why anyone would travel here from VA or Bethesda (you can tell by the mandals that they're from Bethesda). The food is actually pretty good, especially the pizza, but it is extremely overpriced. I never get entrees here because they just aren't worth it in my opinion. The lunch menu is actually better, and is more affordable price-wise. The brunch food is also good, just overpriced as well and for some reason, the prices seem to go up consistently every other month. It would also really be great if they had a few options from the lunch menu available on the dinner menu and bar menus, such as: turkey burger, chicken sandwich, etc. What really angers me about this place, however is the service: it is really atrocious and non existent most times. For this reason, I always opt to sit at the bar, and even then, depending on who the bartender is, that can be pretty bad as well (one time I came, it took OVER AN HOUR to receive a plate of bacon and eggs- the excuse was that the cooks lost my ticket). Sasha is a solid bartender, but is only there for Sunday brunch now, and there is another guy who comes is about once a month and is really friendly and jovial. I liken Station 4 as to being in an abusive relationship: you are constantly treated like crap and neglected, while getting glimmers of hope and sweetness once in a while, but you keep coming back because there is nothing else. The experience was very enjoyable thanks to our wonderful sever Maroun! I dined here with 7 other guests in celebration of my birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. Maroun was very attentive and caterEd to all our requests. He even snapped some amazing photos to preserve our memories. Great brunch! This place is right across from the Waterfront metro station. It's very posh and fancy inside... with chandeliers and red leather booths. There is a kiss mark on the front door... very romantic! ;-) Their unlimited brunch was a great deal. for $30 you can choose anything from the menu and you will also get unlimited mimosas and/or bloody Mary's. Luckily we had a reservation because they place was packed at 12:30 on a Sunday. There were several large parties of people enjoying brunch. Overall we had a great experience! I enjoyed the strip steak along with poached eggs and duck fat fries. Everything was prepared perfectly and it went perfect with my boozy breakfast drinks. The service was very fast and my glass was never empty! My friends ordered the garden omelet that came with a salad. My one friend was super bummed because her salad was only about 2 pieces of lettuce. She enjoyed the omelet but was not filled by the meal. This was a good brunch spot and a great deal. I'm back! 10 months later. The food has definitely improved and the service was good. Larbi was my server and he was very professional and accommodating. They truly honor the bottomless mimosas move! My glass was never empty! Despite the Covid I'm grateful the restaurant was open and complied with all state laws (social distancing, face mask, staff wore gloves) . Having had a number of different experiences (pre-COVID dining, during-COVID dining, drink-at-the-bar, and take-out) I'd say that Station 4 lands at a solid 4 overall. The food is really good. Big thumbs up on the smoked gouda mac & cheese! Food presentation is good too. It feels like more people come here to drink than to eat. I've never seen the dining area full, but the bar area always seems full. And noisy. I'd recommend sitting outside if possible. Nice patio. Service is mostly good. Very friendly service. Every once in a while there's a lapse in attentiveness, but overall the service is good. One drawback: What you pay at Station 4 is a bit higher than what you get in return. With multiple same-priced but higher-quality/experience options just a few blocks away at the Wharf, Station 4 may need to up its game a little to compete. read more

We went there for dinner couple nights ago, the food was just OK. The salmon was a bit over cooked and the chef put sugar or some sweetener on the brussels sprouts which ruined them. But the worst thing was they were mopping the floor with smelly stuff during dinner. It was raining outside but they should've been using plain water. We should not be smelling that cleaning fluid smell while we're trying to eat. I hope someone from the restaurant reads this and doesn't let that happen again because I would really like to have a nice restaurant in the neighborhood. read more

So I came here Saturday July 18th, 2020 for my birthday celebration and I want to say I was DISAPPOINTED from beginning to end! First off, the host was very nice and moved fast when setting up my table. My server Aracey came behind her to wipe the table down before I took my seat. As soon as I sat down the table smelled like a dirty rag. My server took quite a while to come and give me my initial greet w/ a glass of water. So that's two red flags already! Then I asked him to wipe down the table with a clean rag because it smelled. He did and then he asked me "does that smell better?" Like wow sir I'm sure you knew the first time it smelled bad. I just thought he was trying to be sarcastic by asking that. Anyways moving on, I got bottomless and it's supposed to include bloody Mary's and mimosas but they were out of bloody Mary's for the day smh. The food comes out and my friend & I ordered the "eggs Chesapeake" entree which essentially is a Benedict w/ crab meat. I'm sure most know the eggs on Benedict comes poached runny. Mine & my friends came out HARD BOILED! We asked the server for new eggs those came out correct. However the dish wasn't all that good the potatoes that come with it were a little under cooked and the whole dish was kind of bland. I also felt that my server moved too slow & wasn't efficient enough, he also kept taking his mask down to talk. When it came time to pay he split the check up and put wrong items on wrong checks! My aunt also had a discount through yelp for this restaurant and he told her she couldn't use it UNLESS SHE GAVE A GOOD YELP REVIEW. I'm a server myself and I would never ask for a good review from my guest that's weird. I feel like the only thing he did do right was constantly have the mimosas filled up. And the birthday dessert was a nice gesture but the dessert wasn't good. The one star was because it was pretty restaurant but I will not be returning. read more

I recently had my birthday dinner at Station 4 and me and my family had a great time!! The food was good, the service was very good. Everyone was very professional. We had a party of 16 and they were very accommodating and didn't miss a beat with 16 different orders. The atrium room outside the main room was beautiful. They have two gorgeous back drops where we took some really fun photos. We actually had the room to ourselves. A birthday to remember. I came here on sunday for their brunch. I ordered a veggie omelette with the toast and side salad. Everything was really delicious. My friends actually were running late and the hostess had no issues moving our reservation. The inside and the seating were so pretty and everyone loved their food. Our waiter was great and really accommodating. They have a $25.00 deal where you can order one brunch and unlimited bloody marys and mimosas. My bloody mary was a little bitter but i ordered a mimosa after that and that was delicious. Upon entering the restaurant, we were "greeted" by an apathetic hostess who barely said hello. Our server seemed rushed and annoyed when we asked questions about items on the menu. He also seemed upset that we didn't order any alcohol. The appetizers came out quickly. We ordered a Caesar salad, which was fine, and gambas al ajillo. The gambas, which appeared to have been heated up in a microwave, had very rubbery shrimp. For the main dishes, we ordered a salmon salad and a Kobe burger. The dishes were average and lacked flavor. Our server took awhile to return to our table to check on how our food was or to see whether we needed anything. The one good thing was dessert. We ordered a gelato and sorbet dessert, which was delicious. However, we would still recommend finding elsewhere to eat if you are in that area. read more

The service was slow and I felt they tried to upsell us on everything rather than just answering the questions I had about the menu. The mussels my date got were overcooked but the sauce was delicious. The calamari is a must for an appetizer if you like calamari - it's well cooked, the batter is light and flakey so enhances the taste of the squid rather than drowning it out. I visited here yesterday and the service was absolutely terrible since the moment we were seated. My boyfriend and I decided to come here for the brunch due to the restaurant week special. After the host sat us, we waited 15 minutes before I had to stop a server walking past to ask could someone please come assist us and get us started. I'm not sure if the servers were switching shifts or if our entire section was not assigned but we were all there over an hour before receiving food. When a server finally did come over it took her 30 minutes to even give us a glass of water let alone our mimosas we ordered. Another 30 minutes goes past and she comes back to ask "what did you all order again?" There was no sense of customer service and the experience was not good. Then we received our entree but the brunch experience was supposed to include an appetizer which we requested fruit for her to tell us the kitchen ran out of fruit? Let me start by saying the restaurant had a great decor food was decent up until my friends and I saw not one but two mice right under our feet at the table. All though upset we still offered to pay for the drinks but the food we did not want to eat it's unsanitary and mice by our feet while we eat is not acceptable. They did not agree to paying for the drinks and insisted we get a free bottle of wine which wasn't apart of the agreement. My daughter and I ate at Station 4 when recently visiting my son. While there was nothing wrong with our meal, it didn't seem special in any way, especially considering the price. I ate the crab cake appetizer which was three very small fried bites, each one on top of guacamole for $22. My daughter had the shrimp scampi - again completely adequate, but not particularly impressive. The thing that bothered me and left a bad enough taste to leave a review which I rarely do - is that I ordered a bottle of prosecco off the menu. When the bill came, I was overcharged by $6. When I pointed it out, the waitress was very quick to say she would take it off, and she did. But I didn't like that the price on the bill was different than the price on the menu. When you go to a restaurant, you want to relax and pay the bill, not check to see if you've been scammed. I would never go back there as a result. read more

It was a younger waiter that when we requesting anything kept saying "I got you" when he didn't get anything. 100th Review! Woo! Sorry, I had to get that out. Anyway, I stopped by Station 4 for brunch on a Saturday with four friends. I made the reservation because...well I always do. One of my friends actually beat me to the restaurant though, and they don't really have a waiting area so she ended up waiting outside. Once a couple of us got there, they sat us, and we got to work. They do offer bottomless mimosa (or Bloody Mary if you're into that kind of thing) and an entree for $35. So it's about in the middle of the range for bottomless brunches in DC. Food: I had the Western Omelette, which came with home fries. I liked the home fries. They were cooked well so they were crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside, and they were seasoned well. The omelette was not bad, but not incredible, and somehow I was still hungry afterwards. So I ended up splitting the French Toast with one of my friends as well. The French Toast was pretty. It came topped with berries and powdered sugar. Tasted pretty good. Was cooked appropriately, no weird texture issues. One of my friends had the smoked salmon platter which she noted was good but because of the way it's constructed, it's hard to spread the cream cheese unless you remove the other things from the flatbread first. Our waiter was awesome. He checked back with us a good amount, and was quick with refills on drinks. He had answers to our questions about the menu as well. If you're going, take the metro/Uber/Lyft. Parking in the area near the SW waterfront can be tricky, especially if you're trying to park for free. Good, but somehow not quite amazing. They probably deserve more than 3, but not quite 4. 3.4 feels about right. read more
