The atmosphere is nice. The servers are good. This place would have been great 15 years ago. Unfortunately for them bars have really upped their food game. Stats tastes like a diner. Nothing interesting. It all seems pretty frozen and bagged. Crinkle cut fries? Really? And you are offering them truffled? Come on, cut some potatoes and fry them. Do not get the jalapeño appetizer. It is a mostly raw jalapeño with some cream cheese on it. Guess what? The same cream cheese goes in the stuffed mushrooms. Innovative cooking there. When they first opened I tried a burger. It was a frozen patty similar to what you would get at a 24 hour diner. It sucked. Hopefully they changed it but I'm not willing to risk it. Why three stars? Because the wings redeem this whole place. The wings are good. But in a total cheapskate fashion they charge for blue cheese dressing or ranch. Really? The wings are about 12 bucks for 10 and I'm paying around 7 bucks a beer? You can't give me two tablespoons of blue cheese dressing? Stop nickel and diming people it is tacky. It has potential. Someone has to get the fact that we can pay for a good beer at a whole lot of places now. You need thoughtful food to keep people coming back. read more

I have been in here many times and the staff never disappoints...it's too bad they let their manager go a while back because he was the best and no one wants to really own up as to why they let him go. Place was running great and you just up and fire him...stupid move in my personal opinion. There are tons of burgers on the menu BUT I would guarantee(and I had a staff member look for me and prove my guess wha right) that they use 60/40 beef. That's why the burgers taste so weird to me and to many. Nothing worse than cheap beef...ask them, they use only salt n pepper on burger so that "odd" taste is the meat. I personally can't stand their burgers and I have tried them several times and throw most of it away. It's a shame when most of the menu is burgers. Other foods have been excellent along with the bartenders mixes...try the poppers awesome! I give only one star for poor burgers especially when the majority of your menu is burgers. Plus you got rid of a good manager....just bad business. He's built good relationships at the bar and with you being a new bar, bad move. I'll go elsewhere like Raffertys in Countryside for an incredible blue cheese burger and beverages! I needed to get some lunch and didn't want the 'grab your lunch, sit by yourself' hustle and bustle of Portillo's. I wanted to be waited on in a place where I could get a good meal and a bottomless cup of coffee (I was working). So I went one building south of Portillo's on Kingery Highway to Stats Bar & Grill. It wasn't crowded (there were some guys at the bar, another couple at one table and a large office party at a row of tables). I grabbed a table to looked over the menu. The first card I grabbed I thought was the daily specials, but it turned out to be their selection of beers. So I grabbed the food menu. They have a good selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. My server was Agne and she did a great job of being attentive without being annoying. I ordered the Original Angus burger. It was HUGE! (Check out the picture) The burger was a quality piece of meat and the fries were good and plenty. I think they might have had some kind of breading. There was so much food I couldn't finish it. The one gripe I have about this place is they toasted the bun slightly. I'm not a big toasted bun guy so I told the manager they should mention that it comes toasted, either on the menu or the server should say something. But that's just me. Even with it toasted, the bun was almost gone when I finished. I asked for a container for the fries. I thought I might eat them later as I drove around. When I first entered, it was very noisy compared to how many people were at the bar. I was greeted quickly. My friend and I both got the chicken melt. I did like that it was on garlic bread. Dont even think of ordering the Cesar Salad and expect it to be a Cesar Salad! This little spot is tucked in the strip mall right across from Portillo's. If you blink, you may miss it. Stats just opened, so when you walk in you get that "new" smell which excites you.. you know the smell, right? Like when you sit in a brand new car and take it all in. Pretty sweet if you ask me. On with the good stuff.... We visited twice in one weekend. Friday night, for a drink on the way home & Sunday for some football & food. They have plenty of drafts on tap and more bottles if you need something more to choose from. Sunday, $5 Bloody Mary's! Yesssss! Carrie was the bartender on Sunday and she mixes a mean one so make sure you give it a try. The kitchen seemed to struggle a bit (which is why I only gave 4 stars) but I think they'll get better once they find their rhythm. It was not busy by any means and it took about 20-25 minutes for our burgers to come out. When they did come out, the specialty fries we wanted were not on the plate so we had to send it back. I ordered the Moo, Cluck, Oink burger with truffle fries. Basically, it is a burger with bacon and egg on top & was pretty good but undercooked. Not usually a big deal for me but I ordered it medium and it came out medium rare. The "truffle" fries were okay, definitely not the best I have ever had. They spayed truffle oil on them and sprinkled the Parmesan cheese all over and sent it out. Both the oil and cheese was distributed unevenly & way too heavy in spots. The burger was delicious though, even with the hiccups. Like I said, I think they just need a little more practice and they'll be well on their way. So, with plenty of TV's for game day & drink specials, this place is a pretty neat spot. They're offering a Groupon right now, give em a try! read more

I love this place. But tonight we tried something different a Parmesan crusted chicken with asparagus risotto. It's was horrible, and truly believe it was a pork chop... I'm a cook and chicken cuts different and looks different. On top of that the service was absolutely awful! She barely spoke to we, "ran" away everytime she left the table, completely rude. So second time to Stats. Having dinner this time. Ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich. The sandwich was excellent. Nice piece of tender chicken. Downer was the fact the fries were ice cold as were my daughter's too. Hmmm. Not too tough to make sure the fries are hot and fresh. Again lack of attention to details. We love this place, My Wife and I will run out and meet my parents for lunch. They have a managed to keep moving forward during the most difficult of times. The food is always great, the staff accommodating and practice all Covid protocols for a restaurants in Illinois. We have eaten here a few more times since my first review. So far, it's never disappointed. The food is really really good and the servers are always so nice. One thing that surprises me, is that the owners never take the time to walk around and greet their customers. That goes a long way when trying to building a strong relationship with the people you want to come back again and again. I am definitely not a fan of writing reviews about places, but I do have to say this is definitely a great place to get some food that is high-quality and also get fantastic service at the same time. Which we all know it's very difficult to do these days. This is my second time here and they were very accommodating both times. The first time was after a 7 Hour drive and I was tired and moody and by the time I got out a lot of the places were closed except this place. I for sure left satisfied and in a much better mood. Second time I went to watch a football game on Thursday and again most places were closed even Buffalo Wild Wings, go figure. This place was a huge disappointment. Rude customer service, and bad food. Never again will I eat here. My coworkers and I had to work New Year's Day, so we decided to get takeout from this place. (Working New Years sucks, but it's not an excuse for poor customer service.) The food wouldn't have been that bad if the woman taking our order had stopped talking long enough to listen to what I was saying. She even got rude with me when I had to repeat the order multiple times. I called to speak to a manager about how the food was poorly made and the order was incorrect, and he thought it appropriate to laugh while saying "oh, well I'm sorry." He didn't even offer to correct the order. Burgers were nasty, and poorly made. Truffle fries had no flavor. The only thing worth eating out of my $50 order was the stuffed jalapeños. Went there 4 times (November and December 2015 and January and February 2016), after work, for a drink and a bite to eat. Quite a few choices for BURGERS on their menu. Unfortunately the meat they are using is worse than (insert an animal here) meat. Has to be a 40/60 mix. I won't even use that for my dog! They need to step up their quality if they want to have return clients. Especially if most of the choices involve ground beef! Also, they have changed their potato skins from fresh hand made, to frozen from a bag. Yuck. and The cheese they use on their nachos is out of a can. Really? Fake cheese on a nacho? Nice small sports bar that we'll go to Saturday's or Sunday's to watch football. We usually sit at the bar, and since the tvs are pretty big and you're close you can really only watch two games. If you're not watching a IL sports team you probably won't get sound unless you're the only ones in there, which has happened a few times even during peak game hours. We usually get the appetizer sampler which is a good taste of everything, and switch it up for entrees as nothing has stood out to us as being really good yet. I think Sangria is on special on Saturday and Bloody Mary on Sunday's or I could have it switched. All Sangria is different and I'm not too picky, but I wasn't able to finish my glass. Bloody Mary was pretty good, she had a real heavy hand with the steak sauce but she warned me and added some more mix when I drank some. Some of the draft beers are pricier than other places, but the selection is pretty good for both bottle and draft. read more

Food is amazing. Drinks are pretty good and everything is reasonably priced. Some of the bartenders are awesome, a couple others seem to have attitude issues. However, I tried to take my boyfriend out for a birthday drink here on a Tuesday, and they were closed before 12am. They advertise as being open until 1am. The food is pretty good, and the staff is overall pretty good too. For the most part everyone is nice and the service is pretty good. Drink prices are pretty high tho for a little corner bar/pub. And one annoying thing is the happy hour prices. Recently I went there and they advertised a special on all domestics; however, I asked for Michelob ultra (which is a domestic) but apparently Michelob didn't apply to the happy hour prices. If they lowered drink prices a little i think their business would pick up. read more
