Staycation is located in a cute little house close to Main St in Richardson. I gave this place a try today and was intrigued by the London Morning Latte on their menu as I have not seen that flavor combination anywhere else. I got my drink made with oat milk and it was delicious. The drink is reminiscent of an orange creamsicle but not in a way where it feels like you're drinking a dessert. It felt more refreshing to me and I am curious to try their other flavors. Immediately after entering the cafe you are met with this home-like vibe. There are different kinds of seating such as tables, couches, and small chairs which is great for different purposes. This seems like a place you can sit down and study at, catch up with a friend, or even hang out with a group at. The baristas were nice and I did not feel any pressure to rush when ordering. The overall vibe of the place and people felt very relaxing and comforting. I will be back to try more of their drinks and other offerings! read more

Thai is my favorite coffee shop in Richardson! My husband and I like to try different coffee shops in the garland area and we came across this charming little house after someone recommended to us. I love the the coffee I always get the iced vanilla latte but have also tried the iced Dulce de leche and both are delicious! I also love the unique layout with a backyard area where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and it's also perfect for kids to play or dogs. I love brining my baby here when the weather is nice even though he can't walk yet he enjoys watching other kids play. Entering feels like being welcomed into somebody's home, and the interior matches this spirit - it's fit with leather chairs, wooden tables, and soft throw pillows. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick, adding to the already welcoming ambience. As for the coffee, I always order house drip or pour over (unless the location specializes in matcha). The roast is on the lighter side, perfect for a morning cup. The mouthfeel is nice and the flavor doesn't linger excessively. I wouldn't say the coffee was exceptionally complex, but that didn't detract from the experience. I also noticed the pastries they source from local favorites like Bresnan Bread & Pastry and others - an excellent touch. Overall, I enjoyed my quick stop into Staycation and am happy to have checked it out as their permanent close from this location will be later this month. But to my surprise, the wifi wasn't working for me and my partner and we had to use our personal hotspot, and there was too much noise that we couldn't work after a few minutes of being there. If you are a remote worker or are looking for a place to plunk down with your laptop to work, there are a few nooks inside where you can sit and diligently type away. It's not really ideal for larger business meetings, especially if you want to sit inside and enjoy the A/C. The place is small and crowded, so you may have to plop down in a lounge chair and balance your laptop on your lap ir wait to get a seat. This establishment is in an old house that has been renovated into a coffee shop. The menu has coffees and teas. There are a few baked goods like croissants that you can munch on too. Such a cute little local coffee shop! I went in during Valentine's week and they had a special latte in the spirit of Valentine's Day. I believe it was a raspberry chocolate but I'm not sure. What I do know is that it was delicious! Staff was really friendly and drinks came out pretty quickly. It is small so has limited seating, but does have an outdoor area as well with additional space. My hubby and I stopped for an afternoon treat and to cool off a bit so he grabbed an iced tea and I grabbed, when I was told, was the last Apricot Goldenberry Spritzer of the season. Lucky me! The owner told me that she makes her own goldenberry syrup for the spritzer and I just happened to get the very last of it for the season that day. I was glad I got to try it before the season was over, they always have such creative drinks and I love that so many items are artisanally made in house. It's also a beautiful thing that they offer goods made from other local artisans, makers and creatives, they certainly do not take for granted the power in providing a space for true community support. This is such a neat little coffee shop with great food and drinks, lovely ambiance, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. They had a specialty banana latte when we went in, and the staff were telling me how delicious it was. I was skeptical, but they weren't kidding, it was so good!! I also got a pig in a blanket, and the bread was so delicious and the sausage was so flavorful. A friend and I set up shop to work remote, and it was such a great atmosphere. Went on a saturday during lunch to grab some iced vanilla latte with oatmilk togo. Their baked items were starting to be sold out so I could not grab a croissant. it was pretty lively - full house in there. Coffee got done in 5 minutes and 2 chairs cleared up. but we were getting it togo anyway. They use some decent beans, you can smell the aroma coming in. My drink ended up being $5.5 pretty good price! Beans good, I wish I drank some before leaving so I could add some more syrup, it was on the lighter side of sweetness, and the oatmilk choice - felt a little more watery then I would like. Such a cute, cozy coffee shop! It's like going to visit a good friend's house! They had a good selection of various coffees and other non-coffee drinks available. Also a selection of breakfast food items to choose from like bagels, pastries, etc. We were on our way somewhere so we took our order "to go" but it would be fun to sit and stay and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. We ordered an Americano coffee and a cinnamon hot tea. Both were very good. OMG!! The caramel sticky bun! It was so flaky like a croissant dough with pecans and currants/raisins. I fell in love with this coffee shop on my first visit. It has the perfect ambience! On the outside, it looks like an ordinary house, but on the inside it is a magical coffee house!! The interior is beautiful decorated with calming colors and decor. There is comfortable seating for couples, individuals and a small group. The service was great! I was kindly greeted when I entered and placing my order was quick and easy. The barista was very knowledgeable about coffee and my drink perfectly made! The food was absolutely delicious, my favorite items on the menu are the mixed berry pastries and the sticky buns. Be sure to get there early as they tend to sell out of the sticky buns pretty quickly. There is also a back patio with lots of tables and chairs in addition to hammocks. This is essentially a vintage Dallas home that was repurposed as a coffee shop. Super cute! The coffee here is excellent and I especially loved the toffee latte (seasonal). The lavender Latte is also pretty good. They also offer a selection of bakery goods which are on display for you to see. I've tried a couple and recommend getting the banana nut bread. If it's not too hot, you should check out the outdoor seating area. There's plenty of chairs and tables and it's nice to sit out there on a lovely day. read more

The coffee shop is located inside of an old house, and there is lots of parking to the left of the shop when you arrive. The store's front is adorable, as well as its inside has plenty of seating and is thoughtfully organized. On a hot summer day, the iced dulce de luce latte that I ordered was nice and refreshing. The Tweed coffee beans simply weren't as acidic as I prefer, which is the only reason this review isn't five stars. When the coffee beans rotate once more, I'll have to come back. read more

Just West outside of the Highland Terrace neighborhood in Richardson is the cute cottage of Staycation Coffee. I recently attended a Pirate Cookie popup event that was happening after hours. While Staycation coffee house was not operating, outside the backyard were picnic tables, hot dog vendor, backyard games along with board games, and a live performer. The atmosphere was relaxed and the crowd very chill and friendly. It would definitely be a great venue location to hold a small to medium size event. read more

I had to add another review now that summer drinks are in to say that this place feels like a warm hug; every time I go Nicole and her staff are down to earth, deeply listen, and genuinely interested in conversing with/ letting each customer feel like they are seen. No matter how busy it is, they're always attentive, friendly, and calm which makes me feel cozy/ right at home. I came in today to try the Strawberry Fields (I ordered it decaf), one of their new summer drinks, and it was absolutely *delicious*!!!
