My husband and I were super hungry on Christmas Eve after church and knew that family dinner wouldn't be ready for a while, so we decided to stop for food. We were pulling into Wendy's when I saw the sign for Steak Escape and asked if he wanted to try something new. We passed Wendy's and get in line for Steak Escape. The menu is a nice size, but not overwhelming. We ordered a chicken Philly and omg was it goooooood. We loved it so much we looked up where other locations are so that we can try to get another asap. We also got an order of fries-- which are FRESH CUT and sooooo good. The service was top notch and the guy taking our order and handing us our food was so kind!! 100/10 recommend!

    Cheesesteak

Easily one of the best cheesesteaks I've had in the Columbus area right up there with Wario's. Super flavorful, great meat-to-cheese ratio, and the roll held everything together without getting soggy. You can tell there's real care in the prep. If you're a fan of Wario's or just looking for a top-tier cheesesteak, this spot delivers. They have such big portions I was literally sick of eating cheesesteak afterwards which never happens at Wario's.

Even better than expected, and I'm already looking forward to my next cheesesteak from Steak Escape. I tried the new Ultimate Grand Escape (mayo, lettuce & tomato) and it was so good: for me, the right ratio of meat and cheese to bread (the bread was amazing, by the way). To top it off, I went with loaded fries and they were spot on. I wish there was a location closer to Dublin/Powell. Nonetheless, I'll be back as soon as I can.

This was my first visit to a Steak Escape. My son had the Bourbon and Bacon sandwich and I had the Great Escape Fry. My portion of food was huge; for me it provided two meals. However, I don't recall that it had any Provolone cheese, so I had to add a lot of extras to the bowl when I got home: sour cream, feta cheese, and I would have included green onions had I remembered they were in the fridge. That would have been good.... I'm not sure about coming back because I went through the drive through and the air smelled bad during my entire wait time. My imagination was running wild as to how clean the inside of the place was. The lady at the drive through was cheerful and friendly.

The loaded fries are literally drowning in cheese. According to the description I thought the cheese would on top on the fries. Now most of the fries are soggy. I was so hungry too so this was disappointing.

We arrived to a very clean restaurant. The guy who took our order was very knowledgeable on the menu and gave great recommendations. We did dine inside and our order took over 20 mins. Most people ordered after us came and left, but ours took a long time. The food was worth it but took awhile for being a fast causal place, that makes the food as ordered. Pricing was very reasonable for the food size. I will be back, just not on a time crunch.

    Barnyard BBQ sub

Outstanding bbq cheese and chicken sub! The souse was tangy and sweet. The chicken was tender with a great flavor. The crispy onions mixed well with the sauce. I added jalapeños to kick the heat in a bit. The best part to me is the roll that they use, it has a great crunchy crust to it and the inside is soft. Just a great sandwich overall!

The quality of steak escape has declined over the years. I thought i give them a try again but i should have went somewhere else. I had the ultimate escape regular sub a regular fry and reg lemonade. lemonade was watery, Steak was bland and dry. The fries were decent. If you are craving a steak sub don't go here.

Went here for lunch (through the drive-thru) with a pretty complicated order and they got is right. (except to the missing plasticware). The Grand Escape Cheesesteak was pretty darn good. And the Loaded fries were excellent. Actually, I ordered too much (again). Of course, it didn't stop me from eating it all. If I lived here, I'd probably make this a regular place.

This was my first time at Steak Escape, but it's one of my husband's favorite places to pick up lunch for us. There was a lineup for the drive thru and a Hiring sign outside. Super common nowadays. Byron was my server at the drive thru and he provided a very positive experience. He's upbeat and didn't seem to let the swarm of customers coming through get to him at all. Thanks Byron for great customer service!

Barely any meat on the sandwiches. Very dissatisfied. Won't be back. Use to be a good steak sandwich.

Never get the toppings right. Specifically say "No Mayo". Promise you are getting 4 ozs of may on your sandwich.

I had the Barnyard BBQ cheesesteak and strawberry lemonade, my brother had the Grand Escape cheesesteak and lemonade; we shared the Homemade Gravy Fries.

It's been a minute since I've been here, and honestly, I forgot how good it is. I went all in with the Chicken Pot Pie Soup, Mama's Meatball sandwich with peppers, and a bag of Zapp's Hot Pepper chips--because moderation is for people who don't love flavor. The Chicken Pot Pie Soup? Well, let's just say it leaned more "cream of chicken" than "pot pie." The crusty topping... I'm not sure what sorcery that was, but it had the texture of something between a crouton and a pulverized Ritz cracker that lost its way. Not bad, just... confusing. cracker The Mama's Meatball, though, stole the show. Delicious, saucy, and stacked like it's proud of itself. The peppers gave it just the right kick. And Zapp's chips? Always a chaotic good choice. Overall, great lunch, great company, and a reminder that Potbelly still knows how to make comfort food without overcomplicating it. Would I come back? Absolutely. Just maybe I'll skip the soup--or bring a pie crust of my own next time.

I used…read moreto see a billboard on the way to Grandma's house for this quirky-named restaurant that advertised "Best Wings in the USA". Before they became a bigger chain, I convinced my Mom to make the 90+ minute drive in the Buick to Sharon, PA so I could have these wings. I was a foodie before foodies existed. Anyway, for some reason, they all closed down in the Pittsburgh area but they still have a location in Columbus, OH. And since it was close to my hotel in Westerville, I decided I NEEDED to coat my throat with the most amazing thick Arizona Ranch wing sauce. I used to eat an entire bucket of wings myself... and even downed an 18-wheeler back in the day (that's 1.5 buckets), but on this trip, I was good with a super sized single split between AZ Ranch (the best) and Golden Garlic (also a favorite). The wings were meaty and coated nicely. I tore my way through them and loved every bite. Wing prices everywhere are out of hand these days but it was worth it to me. If I could talk to my younger self in the car leering out the window at the Billboard, I'd tell him to buy gold instead. F Wings, am I right? But I spent it all on food instead, and am a happy, sauce-faced foodie because of it.

It had lots of seating, and could accommodate large groups, plus direct bar seating. We arrived just at opening and there were many folks waiting in their car, which led me to believe it would end up very busy, but it was a fairly quiet Sunday lunch hour. We were seated quickly but the service after that was somewhat slow considering the lack of patrons. This place is known for wings and my husband dreams of traveling where they have them. I don't do wings, so my experience was more meh. Lots of wing flavors, my family opted for medium, golden garlic, Arizona ranch - which all got great reviews. I had the Curd Burger and it was just ok. The curds were yummy, but it also had Parm Garlic sauce, which didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. Going in, it just felt like it would be burst with flavor but it just wasn't. The fries were just mediocre and the Pretzel stick app was decent. I also had the Golden Caddy (Margarita), which likely wasn't worth the price but it had a kick. I personally don't need to return, but my wing loving family seemed to enjoy it.
