I am partial to steak and shake... great burgers, the most awesome fries when they are cooked fresh, and the shakes can be outstanding! This particular one can be great or it can be good... but it is always tasty. The service at the drive through is mostly good but we have had a few mishaps as well. The inside could use a bit more cleaning.. but again most of the time is it brett good. In the world of fast food Steak and Shake gets my vote for a top 3 burger for sure!

I've never been a fan of fast food hamburgers until now. The Frisco Melt is probably the best fast food bite I've had in a long time. Self-order screens, big diner style booths- what's not to love?

We try to stay away from fast food burgers but when it's really inevitable (lol) we drive to Steak's Shake (Alpharetta) and we are all always satisfied. Everything is just fine, the shakes, the burgers, the fries, and even the price. That's not easy! At other fast food places you always end up liking one thing but not the other. Isn't it? We normally get the Double Steakburger with cheese meal and we share the huge vanilla shake. I am not going to Steak'n Shake looking for great service, but I was always assisted with courtesy and respect when I needed help. Oh yes, one more thing: I like the open kitchen as I am able to see a real burger being smashed on a real flat top.

Some highlights include: - Beef Rendang: one of my favorite renditions of this complex and very flavorful West Sumatran dish - Chicken Satay: flavorful and creative take on this popular Southeast Asian dish, comprised of chicken skewers and a rich peanut dipping sauce. But give me more sauce! - Roti Canai: very flaky and soft South-Indian style flatbread - Honey Butter Shrimp: so flavorful! We spent $307 for an 8-person meal, including gratuity (no alcohol or dessert). Our server, Ray, was very attentive and courteous. It turned out to be a wonderful meal. Highly recommended!

Our apps came quickly and the chicken nuggets were my favorite dish! The chicken was juicy, crispy and seasoned well and came with a sweet chili dipping sauce. The roti canai plate came with three chicken pieces and a lentil curry along with the roti which was also really good! The roti was thin and crispy and curry chicken had an amazing assortment of spices. The lentils also tasted good and loved the pickled onions on top. For the main, we went with the Garlic butter honey shrimp noodles, rolling Thai hot plate, garlic butter chicken fried rice and the curry chicken with jasmine rice. We got our food within 15min and loved the adorable robot who came by to drop it off at our table. The noodles are my favorite dish and as always tasted good and loved that they kept the portions the same. The Thai rolling hot plate which ended up being another type of fried rice was very flavorful with a tomato based rice, shrimp pieces and egg. The garlic butter fried rice was also delicious and loved the fried garlic pieces on top which added more flavor. The curry chicken was the same one as the one from the roti canai plate and amount of chicken was plentiful. Overall, it ended up being more than we could eat and had to pack it up for to go. There's plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating which makes it a great spot for getting lunch or dinner if you're in the area!

The food was mostly great -- the French onion soup was flavorful, and the calamari had a good spicy kick. The mac and cheese was so good with that crispy breading on top. The steak and asparagus were cooked well, and the sweet potato fries were tasty, though a little too sweet -- they really don't need extra sugar. The mashed potatoes had good flavor but could've been a bit creamier. The martinis were good. The water had a strange taste, the Sprite tasted more like 7UP, and the glassware was a bit sticky, which was noticeable. Overall, good food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff handled our allergy situation really well, which made the visit much better. A few small details could be improved, but we'd come back again.

I finally got to attend this place and always wanted to try it since I moved to the Atlanta area…read more I've heard nothing but great things about it. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. It's a beautiful restaurant inside meaning it's good for a date, a night out with friends or family, or a great place to celebrate for a prom or graduation. It's more upscale than a traditional restaurant however I loved it! I came here with my business coach since I won a competition and the prize was to have lunch at the place of my choice. She ordered the soup of the day, which was like this cheddar soup that came with these two sauces, which one of the sauces was a jalapeño based sauce, which was spicy, but not too spicy to wear it wasn't edible. She did like her soup and she also ordered the lobster and smoked Gouda ravioli for her entrée. She had no complaints considering she bagged the food up to go and wanted to finish it right there, but she couldn't. Lol. I ordered the twin seared chicken, which is actually half a chicken pan seared. My chicken was so delicious! It was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection to where it was fall off the bone. Just how I like it! The rice and the green beans paired well with it. My rice was cooked well, meaning it was not mushy or hard. And my green beans were a great consistency as well. My little one had a chicken tender salad since she loves cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, pretty much anything that comes in a salad that's not the lettuce. Lol. I must say I was impressed by the size of the salad because it was huge for a child. It would be great as a size salad for an adult. The chicken tenders were an amazing size, bigger than what most restaurants would give especially for a child's plate. I was highly impressed by the size of the portions for the children because the price is pretty standard for a kids meal entrée in comparison to other restaurants that give less. Our service was awesome! I wouldn't expect anything less considering the ambience of the restaurant. Our server was attentive, and he even bagged up both of our meals for us. This place is a 10 out of 10 and yes, I will be frequenting this restaurant a lot more in the future, even if it's by myself to sit at the bar.

Honestly everything about the place is pretty on point, it's an upscale restaraunt with alot of exposed wood, spacious, well thought out originally. The staff has always been corteous and knowledgeable, the menu always a great diversity (main courses, salads, starters - you name it, always slightly original and inspired) Personally though, it's more of a 'bring a date spot' eating in the dining room (cozy setting) and the bar is a dark area. During covid they removed the patio, so there is actually no outdoor seating anymore. I think that's why I most find myself not going there - is the dining and bar areas aren't super to my liking, I like bright and airy feeling venues. But they do have some live music and specials every day during the week that do make it appealing to be here different days otherwise which is brilliant marketing.

I'd come in for a drink after earlier day shifts, and grab a small bite on occasion. Back then, it wasn't ever busy but it has taken a positive turn for its reputation in the Avalon area. My husband and I ate here recently for brunch, I had no idea what to expect as I'd never had brunch here before. Sat immediately, and served promptly by the nice gentleman. We got to chatting and found he had just started, working mostly just for the holidays. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and they were incredible--even without the sausage! Not a big pork eater, here. The flavors were authentic Cajun, and do recommend it if you're ever here for Brunch. My other half ordered the breakfast burger--warning this thing is HUGE but according to him an incredible foodie adventure to conquer. Atmosphere is a bit dark and drab, but not a deterrence from coming back to try again. One last note to wrap it up, service needs to be sure to recognize Happy Holidays versus immediately resorting to Merry Christmas--very adamant from our server when I said Happy Holidays upon leaving. It's just a courtesy to those like myself who do not celebrate the mainstream holiday. So folks, if you're shopping at Avalon and want to get out of the cluster of the mall, drive across the main road and find plenty of parking to try out Firebirds!

It was disheartening that the cooks could not seem to figure out how to time the ribeyes so no one had to pack up their meals to go home to continue to cook them. We had the range from bloody rare that should have been medium to the pink "well done". The ladies didn't make a fuss. They all just asked for theirs to go and we just enjoyed the outing. Interestingly enough, our waitress ignored our empty glasses and I had to ask a manager to bring my next drink from the bar as waitress never came back or brought it. 2 other managers came to "see how things were" as a task crossed off a list. We mentioned to one the steak issues and he asked "so what should I do? Go fire the chef?" And he laughed. But it was not funny and it was not a joke. It was his way of dismissing us and our concerns. He dismissed our experiences while refusing to acknowledge their failures. The dismal service and lack of service recovery was intentional and deliberate. It was disrespectful and off putting. The message sent and lack of corrective action was not subtle. My "ribeye" was the only meat that was cooked as ordered. However, I've never seen a ribeye that looked like this. When a colleague called to tell them about the poor experience, the manager said his conscience bothered him that night. (He knew what he was doing) He said when he asked the waitress did we have e a nice meal, she said she didn't think so. We left her a nice tip...because we are nice people. However I was disappointed and embarrassed my colleagues had to suffer the poor treatment and missed the opportunity for the Cajun Ribeye to be done right. $700 later.....I recommend you go anywhere else.
