First off, the price is perfect. Not too much food where you feel like you over ate on Thanksgiving! The food is fine. Not 5 stars fine but it's good. Like you would expect from a diner. The shakes are delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I feel for the servers, out dinner came to $11. So the tip would be crap at 20%. So if you go and like the service, tip at least $5. Poor kids. My downside is the menus and the table flip through ad are gross. Dirty food finger prints all over them. Very disgusting. Other than that, I like this place. read more

Ordered a shake. Was asked what size. Confirmed size. Got to window "you didn't order a shake" I said "yes I did, you asked me the size 5 seconds ago" Then the incredibly rude manager yelled at me to go back around and order one. The fries taste like the grease was old. I took them back on 7/5/2026 @ 3:08pm The manager said he just changed the grease yesterday. He offered new fries, but I didn't want because it would have been in the same grease. I asked for a refund & he said he didn't give refunds. I've always viewed Steak n' Shake as a sit down restaurant to take the family to. Now the ordering Kiosk forces you to order standing up rather than sitting at the table with a menu. It is difficult enough getting Children to focus to order from a menu, mix that with standing and it becomes an even more annoying process. After ordering, we went to get our drinks to find that the sodas wouldn't dispense. Found out you have to scan the Barcode to dispense the drinks and they shut off after 15 seconds. My daughter wasn't even able to fill her cup all the way because she kept hesitating. If I wanted to go to a quick stop restaurant i would have just gone to McDonald's or burger king. While sitting down to eat, a group of elderly ladies came in and sat down waiting to order. It made me even more upset to see them have to stand to order than when my family had to. I understand trying to find ways to save money and If the kiosk is the way the company wants to go, then at least put them on the table. They have effectively managed to limit the amount of staffing, meaning they have to pay less, limited customers to how long they take up a table meaning they could theoretically serve more customers in a day, and limited customers to how much drink they consume, all while not lowering the prices of the product. Make no mistake, the staff was helpful and the food was good, but while it is more similar to a McDonald's rather than the sit down family restaurant it used to be, for that price vs service, I probably won't be back. read more

We won't be going to any Steak and Shake restaurants. Very disappointed in them. First they get rid of the double fudge chocolate shake. Then they get rid of their Royale and Jr Royale, stating that there was an issue with storing the eggs. During the pandemic, they switched to kiosks for ordering and got rid of their waiters and waitresses. Today we went there and they don't even have pepper Jack cheese. DO NOT COME HERE! The food is absolutely disgusting. They use the microwave to heat up the chili so it isn't fresh ($5 for a side cup of chili). We had to constantly send our food back because something was either missing or just wasn't what we ordered. The food was cold when it came out and it still wasn't the way we ordered it. Tried this Steak and Shake for the first time and also the last. It was two in the afternoon and the wait was way beyond long. Yes I understand it takes awhile but I am no stranger to SnS. The soda was cold, the fries were hot, but it looked like the bun squisher was super angry today. I think the reason it took so long, is the cook forgot my food was on the grill. This is a good fast food place for the area. You can usually get a good steak burger, and enjoy a shake for a decent lunch. I usually order their chili and a burger. The service is pretty good, however, over the years there have been a few strange characters serving food, and sometimes they are not always on the ball. The place has the look of a 50's style dinner, and is usually pretty clean. A good place to take kids. read more

This place has been a disappointment the last few times we have been here. I don't think there has been a time recently were our order was not slow or wrong. I feel bad for the servers because one of the positive things I can say is that the dinning room staff is VERY nice and pleasant to deal with. They become just as frustrated when things get messed up. If and when you do get your food most of the time it is not bad. Steak N Shake is Steak N Shake. It's good for what you get, but it's a chain... My stars for this particular location are simply based on their fabulous ability to handle 9 students and 3 chaperones one day into their field trip on a Thursday night at 11 pm and not strangle all of us. Kudos for kind service, patience and getting all 12 orders correct with all the crazy personal requests made with the food to the table in a timely manner and no one dying. And thank you for tolerating the water glass that got dumped, the squealing laughter, incessant questions about the menu, and last minute shake orders. Huzzah! read more

OMG Forget McDonald's and Burger King. Their burgers are junk compared here! The hamburger buns were so fresh and soft it compared to a Krispy Kreme donut. Slower service. Couldn't figure out to have individual checks, check-out was slow as the cashier had issues separating checks, food was ok, a few mess-up (in our favor). Today was not a positive experience. I used the drive thru today and the lady who took my order was super rude. The lady taking my order made me wait 5 minutes to order. And then as I was ordering my milkshakes she cut me off and said got it 3 milkshakes. And when I asked to make sure she had my right order, she's said, "Got it, now pull around." How rude!? And then I got to the window I had to wait 10 minutes for my milkshakes and this wasn't even at a peak meal time. I can't believe it took almost 20 minutes to use the drive thru. We'll my experience was ok work this place The service was good, I was greeted when I walked I'm sat right down as there was only a couple and their young child. She took my drink order fast and also i knew what I wanted so she took that right away. Here is where they get low marks, I got a burger and a fry meal burger was ok meat was falling apart a bit bit the fries were VERY much over done ) over cooked or re cooked. The waitress checked back on me and got me a refill on my drink and gave me my bill. She also was tired and sat on a prep counter in the dinning area for a few minutes and had social hour with her co workers, I should not I was here from 430 am to 500 am give or take so the staff was very relaxed. The food could have been a lot better and the staff could have been more business like, the service was good is why I gave it a 3 star that's what saved it from a 1 star. read more
