I have been coming to this location for years and I have never had a complaint over one of their fresh burgers, shoestring fries or their shakes. Their AC though? Pretty cold at all times. Their soda machine is also self service but to prevent customers from stealing, you get a QR code that you scan after paying for a drink. Love that they revamped their menu with beef tallow-cooked fries and grass-fed Wagyu beef burgers -- that's what made me come in to give them a try! I've had Steak 'n Shake before, but many years ago, and never went back. This location is nearby and I drive by it all the time, so I figured it was worth a second chance now that the menu is better. The place has plenty of outside parking and a drive-thru. We dined inside, where you order at the kiosks and they call you when your food's ready. Everything is made to order, so it's nice to know your food is fresh. The location was clean, and employees were acknowledging even if there wasn't much interaction. There's an old-school diner vibe to the place, and they've even got those quarter machines by the entrance where kids can grab a little toy -- a nice nostalgic touch. My husband and I ordered the single smash combo plus an additional single smashburger, so we could each have a burger while sharing the fries and drink. I also got the Frisco sauce on the side. For drinks, we went with the brewed iced tea (they have sweet and unsweet), though there's also a soda fountain for those who want soda. They also offer milkshakes, which their signage claims are rated #1 by Zagat -- we didn't try one this visit, but it's definitely on the list for next time! We found a booth and sat down, and within 5 minutes our food was ready. There were a few other patrons in the restaurant as well, and there was plenty of seating. The burger was great, and the fries were skinny-ish and also delicious. The Frisco sauce was great on both the burger and the fries, IMO. I came here shortly after they opened on a weekend. It was very good and I was happily impressed that the restaurant is doing well despite all of its changes and years since I've been here. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was freshly mopped. Employees appeared put together. Food did not take long. We loved it all. We intentionally came here to try the beef tallow fries. I don't see a huge difference with the old fries. But all of it was great. My favorite was the Biscoff milkshake. It compares to the cheesecake Biscoff at the fair but priced much better. They got rid of table service and made it an order at the counter and then grab your food and sit type of place. Ruined the classic diner vibe and personal aspect. Will be back anyways! read more

Came here again to share with you all an interesting experience I had at this establishment. Upon walking in I was greeted as I opened the doors and was welcomed with a warm smile and offered help in case I had any issues with the ordering kiosk. The person who greeted me with a warm welcome was this beautiful smiling soul named Navmina. What makes this interesting is that I have been to so many steak 'n shakes all over south Fl... and I never had anyone ever greet me as I entered or even offered any help with the kiosk. I was actually touched by her kind gestures and I was compelled to ask how long she has been worked there and she said that she was just hired not too long ago to be a greeter! I feel as if Steak'nShake is truly stepping up their customer service game big time! As someone who likes to eat keto my orders are not your typical burger orders. When my order was being served the Shift manager came out to greet me as well and wanted to confirm with me that she got my order right before handing it off to me. Her name was Gayle..... and she was genuinely concerned and wanted to make sure that they got my order right! Not only did she get it right, she did it with care and a beautiful smile! As my wife and I were eating or delicious food I could not help but notice how hard Navmina was working. She constantly kept coming to our table just to check if we needed more napkins, a refill on or drinks and even to clear our table...... Honestly I was so impressed with her! She is a rock star!!!! And I between taking care of all the guests she was non stop cleaning! I really miss Steak & Shake since they left my current city, so when I know there is one nearby, I make the effort to go. For some reason, this one has such a dismal feeling to it, which is odd. Every time I've visited, it's been dead except for the employees who are on default setting, just getting by. You order at a kiosk so you don't even interact with them (which I guess they probably prefer). One of the kiosks do take cash, and thankfully it was working. I had to take a minute to figure out the drink machine (you scan that little receipt to activate this) but once I got it, it was fine. Food arrived within 5 minutes and I was on my way out. Of course, it was good. I decided on the kids steakburger with cheese, and their fries were always delicious. So no complaints there. I've been to another steak n Shake further south and maybe it's just the location; it was more lively and within a shopping center, so maybe this one just being alone in the lot gives that feeling, I don't know. OK, we're not talking Michelin star restaurant here, but for what it is, it was very good. Came to steak 'n Shake on a whim craving some cheesy grilled cheese sandwiches and some cheesy covered fries. The place had a few people eating one large table with like six people and a couple of tables with 2 to 4 people. The one thing I don't like is that they no longer offer waitress service. Prior to the pandemic, you can get a waitress and an order of food at the table and that was nice. Now they use those machines that I really hate using to place your food orders. I had a very simple order two grilled cheese sandwiches extra cheese and french fries with cheese. My food was hot and fresh. The fries really crispy and skinny, the grilled cheese sandwiches oozing with cheese. Oh, and one additional complaint. You have to scan your ticket to get soda and it's not easy to use. I've never seen that before. Overall, I mean it is fast food and it was tasty. I just think steak 'n Shake would be better if they had the waitress service again and they took away that scanning machine at the soda counter. read more

Restaurant is extremely clean. They have lots of kiosks where you go in order yourself then you choose a seat and wait for your number to be called. The burgers are hot fresh and juicy. Since I put this restaurant in a fast food category the burgers are much thicker and better than the others. On our last visit the burger buns were not fresh, the meat had an excessive amount of steakburger seasoning (to the point where it was excessively salty and off-putting) and the fries were cold. We really disliked the food all around and came to the conclusion that this Steak 'n Shake really hasn't been very good since the first few times we ate there in 2021. The mint was a bit artificial tasting, but the pieces of Oreo cookie throughout the shake contributed to the overall good taste. What a great place. This location a few years ago wasnt good so I stopped going there. In the past year, I decided to go back. The place is now serving great food and its clean and well maintained. I began by using the app to order and in the process got to know the manager. I told him I loved steak and shake because im from Indiana , where the chain originated. After a few orders I realized the place was making a major comeback. Food was fabulous. People were so friendly. I now go weekly and am so happy with the place I am letting others know.
