    Order counter

I came here shortly after they opened on a weekend. It was very good and I was happily impressed that the restaurant is doing well despite all of its changes and years since I've been here. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was freshly mopped. Employees appeared put together. Food did not take long. We loved it all. We intentionally came here to try the beef tallow fries. I don't see a huge difference with the old fries. But all of it was great. My favorite was the Biscoff milkshake. It compares to the cheesecake Biscoff at the fair but priced much better. They got rid of table service and made it an order at the counter and then grab your food and sit type of place. Ruined the classic diner vibe and personal aspect. Will be back anyways!

Came here again to share with you all an interesting experience I had at this establishment. Upon walking in I was greeted as I opened the doors and was welcomed with a warm smile and offered help in case I had any issues with the ordering kiosk. The person who greeted me with a warm welcome was this beautiful smiling soul named Navmina. What makes this interesting is that I have been to so many steak 'n shakes all over south Fl... and I never had anyone ever greet me as I entered or even offered any help with the kiosk. I was actually touched by her kind gestures and I was compelled to ask how long she has been worked there and she said that she was just hired not too long ago to be a greeter! I feel as if Steak'nShake is truly stepping up their customer service game big time! As someone who likes to eat keto my orders are not your typical burger orders. When my order was being served the Shift manager came out to greet me as well and wanted to confirm with me that she got my order right before handing it off to me. Her name was Gayle..... and she was genuinely concerned and wanted to make sure that they got my order right! Not only did she get it right, she did it with care and a beautiful smile! As my wife and I were eating or delicious food I could not help but notice how hard Navmina was working. She constantly kept coming to our table just to check if we needed more napkins, a refill on or drinks and even to clear our table...... Honestly I was so impressed with her! She is a rock star!!!! And I between taking care of all the guests she was non stop cleaning! I tell it like it is and this is hands down the best customer service I ever had at a SteaknShake and it was also the cleanest one ever..... some other one I have been to feel as if I was walking on an ice rink because the floors were greasy. WHAT EVER YOU ARE DOING Steak'nShake..... keep it UP!!!! I would give them 6 stars if I could !

OK, we're not talking Michelin star restaurant here, but for what it is, it was very good. Came to steak 'n Shake on a whim craving some cheesy grilled cheese sandwiches and some cheesy covered fries. The place had a few people eating one large table with like six people and a couple of tables with 2 to 4 people. The one thing I don't like is that they no longer offer waitress service. Prior to the pandemic, you can get a waitress and an order of food at the table and that was nice. Now they use those machines that I really hate using to place your food orders. I had a very simple order two grilled cheese sandwiches extra cheese and french fries with cheese. My food was hot and fresh. The fries really crispy and skinny, the grilled cheese sandwiches oozing with cheese. Oh, and one additional complaint. You have to scan your ticket to get soda and it's not easy to use. I've never seen that before. Overall, I mean it is fast food and it was tasty. I just think steak 'n Shake would be better if they had the waitress service again and they took away that scanning machine at the soda counter.

Best burgers in town. I like the kiosk payment method they have. No deal with the staff making order, you pick what you want in the kiosk and they make it for you and that's it.

    Burger and fries

Restaurant is extremely clean. They have lots of kiosks where you go in order yourself then you choose a seat and wait for your number to be called. The burgers are hot fresh and juicy. Since I put this restaurant in a fast food category the burgers are much thicker and better than the others. Save your receipt with the QR code because you have to scan it to make the soda fountain work. Fries are thin and crispy, the shakes are phenomenal!

First, the restaurant appeared clean. Tables were wiped down and it appeared neat. The floor looked clean but seemed sticky when you walked. The kiosk system is ok, you order and pay at the kiosk The drink station could be a little temperamental in tfat you must scan your receipt before it allows you to get your ( self serve) drink . 2 burger meals were about $16 simular to McD's but the burgers were way better.

Aww man what happened? The quality here has gone a quite a hit down hill since I first wrote my 5 star review in 2021. On our last visit the burger buns were not fresh, the meat had an excessive amount of steakburger seasoning (to the point where it was excessively salty and off-putting) and the fries were cold. We really disliked the food all around and came to the conclusion that this Steak 'n Shake really hasn't been very good since the first few times we ate there in 2021. Our new go to is Habit Burger and the quality is far superior to Steak' n Shake. There's no two ways about it. Long story short, one star down from five. Won't be going back I don't think.

Once in a blue moon I get cravings for onion rings, the Frisco melt and a shake and I come here. Hits the spot. Soooo mmmmmm

Mint Oreo cookie milkshake with whipped cream

In honor of National Ice Cream month, we visited Steak 'n Shake for some milkshakes. (Ok, isn't every month ice cream month? I'm really not looking for any excuse to eat ice cream. Really. That's my story & I'm sticking to it.) Although we were happily surprised to see the extensive list of shakes, we probably shouldn't have been since "shake" is part of the name of this place. As a purist (wife says my tastes are "boring"), I ordered the vanilla shake. It was creamy and rich... just like a good shake should be. My wife enjoyed her mint Oreo cookie shake. The mint was a bit artificial tasting, but the pieces of Oreo cookie throughout the shake contributed to the overall good taste. It was spoon-worthy (thick enough to eat with a spoon rather than with a straw) yet it could have been even thicker to be a top-grade shake. Overall the shakes are a good value as compared to similar, and even less creative, options at other restaurants.

I had my daughters birthday party at this location and everything was great! From the time we came in everything was setup for us and the manager Sam and Gail were outstanding! Thank you guys for making my daughter birthday extra special

Great place. A man in a suit gave us our food and he was so polite. Maybe a manager? Either way, great service!

Excellent service from Sisco Excellent food from the kitchen…read more Excellent drinks from the bar. What more to say? The greeting from our server set the tone and standard for the evening. The lobster appetizer was phenomenal. The chicken oysters, I personally don't see the hype there but the potato served with them is both the crispiest and the softest potato I've ever eaten. The short rib entree with mole sauce was as tender and flavorful as can be. The local jerk swordfish was cooked perfectly and everything on that plate together created wonderful bites. Cornbread dessert was my choice, I love cornbread and that hit the mark with the blueberry compote and ice cream. One nitpick, and this is absolutely a nitpick. The string lights that hang down the wall to the tables are filthy. So dirty they looked like twine rope. Now that didn't change my experience or make me question the cleanliness of the kitchen at all. That food was perfect. And I wouldn't lower my rating .1 because of it I would go back to driftwood more frequently if my schedule fit their hours better, this place is top notch. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to look over the menu before ordering. We started with the Steak Tartare, served with beer-battered smoked onion petals, truffle, egg yolk, and manchego. It was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the Za'atar Roasted Local Vegetables with spicy greens, feta tzatziki, lime pickles, and pepitas. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite dish. For our entrées, one person ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef ragu, housemade raw milk ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Jerk Local Swordfish from Fort Lauderdale with braised Swiss chard, local radish escovitch, and jackfruit miso beurre blanc. While the swordfish itself was cooked well, I wasn't a fan of the jerk seasoning. The flounder, however, was outstanding and probably my favorite entrée. To drink, I had the Les Fumées Blanches Orange Sauvignon Blanc, which I really enjoyed. Someone else had an Old Fashioned. For dessert, we shared the Affogato with mascarpone ice cream, dark chocolate, and espresso, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It is on the pricey side, but that's fairly typical for a farm-to-table restaurant using quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot. Overall, it's a fun place for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Or if you want, they have a great bar and you can hang out there and have a bite.

The cheese sauce works with it instead of fighting it. The scallions actually added something, which in South Florida is rarer than you'd think. And they served the sour cream and pico on the SIDE, which is smarter than most restaurants twice the price have figured out. The Fork Rule was violated. But when you put chili and cheese sauce on chips without layering, physics wins every time. That's fixable. Layer it, add more chips, and this nacho moves up significantly. At $10.95 after a good night out with the music loud and a cold beer in hand? These nachos are exactly what you need. Not trying to be anything they're not. 6 out of 10.
