My coworkers and I came here for late lunch during our break because we were craving steaks. The spinach dip appetizer on flat pita bread was surprisingly good but it makes you crave beer so order yourself a nice 20oz draft beer to complement the dish. I tried the renegade sirloin with red rock shrimps and upgraded my steak to 8oz. For sides I got their mac and cheese and it was really good. The steak, however, this was not the first time they messed up the temperature. My steak was cooked to well done when I asked for medium. The server asked all of us what our desired temperature was, why ask, if you are going to serve well done steak anyway? They took a long time to bring out the entrees and our break time was running out, so I didn't bring this to the server's attention. Mac and cheese and the spinach dip really was 5/5 stars until the steak came. The server was nice and friendly. First there was a piece of paper or plastic wrapper in my salad. I pointed it out to the bartender. Other than her making a face of disgust, she did nothing to correct it. She didn't offer a solution. I guess maybe this is common. The bartender clearly doesn't love her job. If you don't like your job, find another job! Yeah your tip was low, because of you. The tip calculation in the receipt calculates tip on the taxes. In what world do these people live? The tip is always calculated on the SUB-TOTAL, not on that and the taxes. Why would they expect a tip on the tax? Nevertheless it does not matter because they've lost my business. Food orders taken and also brought out promptly but correctly. Appetizer first... baked stuffed mushrooms which were really delicious. Smothered in cheese. So yummy. They gave us a loaf of warm bread which was great for mopping up the extra cheese. Then they brought out the strawberry salad and shrimp and lobster soup. The salad came with the entree and it was very big and very tasty. Had lots of ingredients in it not just lettuce my shrimp and lobster soup was also very thick and tasty. I enjoyed it a lot. Our main courses were the bone in ribeye and a 6 ounce fillet both ordered medium and both came out. Perfect seasoned really well. Both surprisingly delicious. Both of ours came with a loaded baked potato, although I had ordered mashed potato, but it was fine and very tasty. Mine also came with asparagus, which were cooked really perfectly also delicious. I'm impressed with their steak, their price is about the same as Outback but their quality is closer to real steakhouses. The salad is very fresh, good portion, their blue cheese dressing has real chunks blue cheese. Outback's lettuce in salad is brown sometimes. The steak was cooked to perfection. For some reason, I love the bread from this chain. This is a Darden brand restaurant; most start restaurants deliver decent food. The steak arrived at the table medium rare just like I wanted it, with the baked potato. The baked potato was horrible; however, the steak was delicious, juicy to the point where it was intoxicating. I tasted the salmon that my friend ordered, and it was pretty tasty, although eating steak and tasting salmon doesn't do justice to the salmon. The service was mediocre at best, but the company was the best. The last two times I went to Longhorn Steakhouse, the food was good. The prior three or four times I went, the steaks were horrible. I've been going to Longhorn for more years than I could remember, and I was hoping that they would come back and serve quality again. It seems like they have arrived. My go to is the stuffed mushrooms and , Wild West shrimp both fare great portions for sharing and even enough to fill you up. For entree I do the outlaw ribeye which marbleized and full of flavor. We have been visiting longhorn for probably 10 years. Was one of my favorite places to eat when I visited from NYC. The food has steadily gone downhill the last 5 . First favorites on the menu started to disappear, then the service got sloppy then the pandemic came and while curbside takeout was great the food served wasn't. I have eaten at Longhorn Steakhouse for many years in many locations. Last time was about a year ago. My friends and I were craving meat so what better than Longhorn. No one greeted us when we came in. Our server was very sweet and accommodating though not as attentive as I would have liked. Our salads came The Cesar was ok. Then our food was delivered. My friend ordered baby back ribs with fries. The fries weee super spicy and had to go back. Also they were cold and somewhat soggy. My other friend ordered the bone in ribeye. Seared beautifully although it was somewhat over seasoned. I ordered the regular ribeye rare as i always do. It came out anemic looking. Loaded with salt and other assorted spices in abundance. Also tough as shoe leather. I sent it back. Had to track down our server. She said I'll have them make you a new one. She was back in less than 3 minutes with the same steak which had obviously been washed and replated. When I pointed this out to her she had the grace to look embarrassed. At that point I met with the manager, who offered another steak and I thanked him and said I would pass. Washing my steak and putting it back on the plate just didn't sit well. I love getting the surf & turf here, my only complaint is the seasoning they put on the steak is WAYYY too peppery. I usually ask them extra light on the pepper but if I forget, my mouth is on fire and I end up scraping the entire top and bottom of my steak with my knife, which is annoying. The loaded baked potato.. chefs kiss* so good. And the lobster tail cuts like butter, I usually eat that first because it's just too good not too. This was my first but Not Last trip to Longhorn. We were a party of 13 and the service was excellent. I eat out a lot and after a while you think you've eaten it all. We started with appetizers and I took a taste of the warm spinach dip and the shrimp both were very good. I'm not a steak person so I ordered the Parm Crusted chicken and I must say it was the best chicken meal I've ever had even the brussels sprouts were very tasty. I asked everyone else how their meal was and everyone said the food was great. I saw lobster and stakes eaten with gusto. The room was large but very well decorated.
