I gave it another shot! And well I have to be honest, it was a bit better. The burger is solid and a slight step above an average burger. I got a char burger with cheese, one patty. Many might say this ratio is not good but I had to test this burger. I had it fully loaded with everything it comes with. Honestly, it's just ok. It's not bad. Fresh and patty has great flavor. This review is overdue since this Habit Burger has become my go to place when I feel like having a burger. The quality and taste of everything: from burgers to fries to salad remains consistent. Their tempura green beans are comparable to those I've had at my favorite Japanese restaurants. Very good price as well. Whether I sit outside or stay inside, the atmosphere is always pleasant. In addition, I must commend this location for their above and beyond customer service level. Every time I go there, the staff are always efficient, professional and kind. In order to save on workers, they have three computer screens to order, which almost nobody uses. At these prices, you should have someone take your order, no questions asked. After a week of salads everyday for lunch I was seriously craving a burger and fries. Habit Burger & Grill to the rescue. This California based burger chain was founded in 1969 in Santa Barbara as Hamburger Habit, a family owned business. Brent and Bruce Reichard purchased the business in 1980 and franchised it out to 24 SoCal locations. As of March 2020, Habit Burger & Grill is owned by Yum! Brands, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. This Habit Burger & Grill opened in 2015 in Delray Place on the corner of Linton Boulevard and Federal Highway. They specialize in made to order char grilled burgers. The year it opened it was listed by Consumer Reports as the "Best Tasting Burger" in the country. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer for when your meal is ready. There was plenty of seating at tables and booths around the restaurant and on the walls were many nods to their California history. I ordered the Original Charburger Meal which includes a single patty burger with cheese, grilled onions, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. The meal also includes fries and a drink. My burger was cooked perfectly and I especially enjoyed the addition of the grilled onions. Their well done fries were crispy and delicious and I loved their Strawberry Limeade drink. They have a little hot pepper bar if you like your food caliente. My meal was extremely filling and I ended up taking half home. If you aren't in a beefy mood they also have on their menu an impossible burger, veggie burger, and grilled chicken in sandwiches and on a salad. They also have kids meal, hand spun shakes, and craft juices and drinks. I like that you can order half fries and half onion rings. For a fast casual restaurant they have a very comprehensive menu that has something for everyone. I had this order delivered so i am not sure what the place looks like. I was craving a burger, and it was getting late for this area... places were already starting to close!!! I read reviews and Habit sounded good, so i tried it. First, they prepared the order fast which was great, and used a thicker bag to try to keep the food warm- It was more like fast-food packaging than i had anticipated but ok... The burger was tasty and cooked right (for me) though they don't ask when you order- the onion rings were tasty but overdone to a crispy ring with hardly any onion inside. The sweet fries were tasty and cut thin so also risk being fried to a crisp, which some were... The regular fries were just ok. I loved that you can get mixed orders of the sides- i got onion rings and fries mixed, and then another side order of sweets. They followed instructions, yay!, which for me is half the point of offering food to go. They include this "ranch" dipping sauce which is very watery, it will run off anything you dip in it so have it close to your mouth or over your plate!! They used paper products instead of plastic, another plus, however not recyclable because of the grease. read more

The service was okay, the food was so good it made me and my grandpa so full, and it was pretty quiet.

The quality of the burger meat is not very good, it reminds me of Burger King. Everything is cooked fresh to order, but this also means that sometimes it takes a long time to come out. However, Martin in the not the manager is in and always making sure that everyone has a clean table and has their beverages topped up (even though it's a self service soda bar so this is very nice). The bathroom was a 3/5 for clean. The fries are not crispy and more so floppy. But the onion noodles are good. In general, I try to avoid visiting Berger as there are many other options in the area but from time to time a friend wants to try it and being kind I go along so we'll see if it gets better next time. We went here because my son had his birthday and that's where he wanted to have lunch! I was happy to see that they have some new items- edamame and I do like the tuna with the garden salad (though I didn't know it had croutons so I spent the time to pick out the croutons). My son had a char burger and my son had a cheese char burger no mayonnaise, regular onions, lettuce and tomato and an Oreo shake! We were very pleased with our visit! It was very busy which is a good sign for them. They now have kiosks where you can place your order yourself but I had a free char burger so I didn't use that. - I also like having a person take my order! We had a good lunch here. We had previously had a meal at another Habit Burger location and liked it and was hoping to do the same here. The classic burger itself was quite good. I liked the lettuce and tomato. But I asked for no mayo and no onions. The order was taken correctly by the cashier. It was printed correctly on the receipt. But when I received my burger, it was covered in a ton of fried onions! So, I got up and went to the counter to find a spoon to scrape them off. The manager noticed, asked me what the problem was, and said they could make me another burger, but frankly I didn't want to wait. I'm not allergic but I just prefer my burger without any onions. My husband got a combo with a double burger and subbed raw onion for the fried onions that come on it. He liked his burger, also. The fries which we got well done (crispy) were very good. I was glad to see they were not the coated kind which I don't care for either. The combo also came with a drink of our choice from the soda fountain. You can order at the counter (which we did as they were not busy) or by using one of their automated kiosks. They call you when your order is ready to be picked up. In summary, we had a relatively inexpensive lunch that we liked overall with one slight glitch. I'd still try them again, however, and hope they get my order correct the next time. read more

I just had some lab work done and was famished from fasting. I needed meat, and even though I didn't want fast food, I wound up here. Sometimes, I just want a decent burger. I placed my order at the counter and was given a pager thingy of some sort. I grabbed some ketchup and my beverage and quickly found a table. They have a condiment station with different types of peppers. That's not my thing, but it appeared to be popular. My cheeseburger had bbq sauce, sautéed onions, and pickles. Believe it or not, it was very good. For my side, I had tempura green beans. They came with ranch, but I didn't use it. The green beans were good and not greasy. I ate about half of them as the portion was large. I couldn't finish my burger either, because it was pretty big too. The cashier was pleasant, and he even suggested the green beans when I asked him what he sells the most of. I learned this from my friend Clarissa. Always ask what sells the most. My meal was almost eighteen dollars, which is steep for fast food. It was delicious, and a few notches up from McDonald's. Here's the thing, I could have gone across the street to Longhorn for basically the same amount of money, I could have had one of their many lunch specials, which includes a burger platter. It's so expensive eating out these days, lunch specials are the way to go. The bottom line is that I wasn't thinking and in need of food quickly as I was breaking a fast. I was craving a burger, and I wound up in this plaza. The restaurant was clean, including the condiment station. Cashier was great, which is always a nice treat. I enjoyed my lunch, and my food was freshly made for me. I had a very good experience. But next time, I will probably go to Longhorn and sit at the bar and be waited on, however I do recommend Habit Burger and I definitely will return at some point as the food was fresh, hot and delicious. It's a burger. It's one of the most burger burgers to ever burger. The flavor profile? Burger. Filling? It's a burger. Quality? It's... a burger. Certainly was one of the burgers of all time. Convenience and being quick service definitely give this place its niche amongst its peers. It's a step above McDonald's and such but doesn't quite elevate to other burger joints like MEAT or Dada. The dining room is consistently.. sticky. Which isn't inherently problematic (have you been to a Waffle House? I have no qualms with Waffle House and I'd sooner rely on Waffle House syrup than tape to hold a house together) but it is noteworthy. Employees were visibly sanitizing all of it so it didn't feel dirty in any way. The fries are bog standard fries. They're what you think of when you think fry. The platonic ideal of a fry if you will. (Take that mom I used my philosophy class before I used algebra in my daily life) The burger is good but it's about a Red Robin burger. It's not exceptional but it is serviceable. Normally people take 3 stars as being a bad restaurant but genuinely it is a 3 star restaurant. It's average.
